@Sessy19 so happy for you!! I had such a strong feeling it was going to be ok. Fantastic update

FirstTimeMama91 · 25/03/2019 15:04

@Sessy19 omg I'm so happy for you Thanks try and rest, you've been through a lot today! X

Lozzlepop · 25/03/2019 15:25

@Sessy19 oh thats fantastic news you must be thrilled ❤️

@thumper59 I am feeling nauseous today, I have found if i eat small amounts regularly it helps! Feeling exhausted too, I keep needing topee in the middle of the night then I cant get back to sleep 😒

thumper59 · 25/03/2019 16:04

@Lozzlepop yeah it's horrible isn't it. That was working for me but it's been all day and not going off today. My belly is huge and bloated as well! We have our booking in appointment tomorrow so glad to finally get the ball rolling, it seems like it's been ages! 5 weeks Saturday we've known so it has been really

Lozzlepop · 25/03/2019 16:14

@thumper59 its the worst, have worn a dress today which has helped me not feel as bloated. Eeeeek thats so exciting, I am so pleased for you! What time is your appointment? We have known almost a week, so another 2 and a half for booking appointment and then hopefully we will book a private scan in for Easter weekend ☺️

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 25/03/2019 16:15

Sessy19 Amazing news! That’s fantastic. So pleased for you Smile x

thumper59 · 25/03/2019 16:19

@Lozzlepop oh so have i, a very baggy dress 😂 the thought of wearing jeans or trousers makes me feel hideous!! It's 9am
So first thing. It feels like ages doesn't it when not many know! Oh that's so exciting, we have a private scan on Friday night :) I am quite nervous so trying not to think about it yet!

Lozzlepop · 25/03/2019 16:31

@thumper its so good to feel less restricted! Oh thats good its first thing, mine is 3pm on a Friday haha thats will be a loooooong week for me 🙈tell me about it, literally nobody knows its just me and my OH but I think I will tell 2 of my closest friends on Saturday when I see them! I'm sure everything will be perfect with your scan 😊

LittleAndOften · 25/03/2019 16:42

@sessy19 what a rollercoaster! I'm so glad it's a good result, you must be so relieved.

I totally get the clothing thing. I can't cope with anything around my waist right now. I bought a dungaree dress but might have to buy some long dresses too. I'm struggling with tights or leggings underneath though. I even bought a pair of holdups yesterday in desperation!

ChesMum2019 · 25/03/2019 16:47

Amazing news @Sessy19. Make sure you get lots of rest all the emotions you must have been through will really take it out of you x x

Aph413 · 25/03/2019 17:02

Wow @Sessy19 that's fantastic news for you. Hope you're getting plenty of rest after that

thumper59 · 25/03/2019 17:13

@Lozzlepop Thankyou I hope so. I told my best friend after a few weeks and we told OH's best friend around the same time

@LittleAndOften same! I'm wearing tights and if I pull them over my belly through the day I can feel them 'pop' down to under my gut. I hope it's bloat/ baby to blame because I've never had this before 😂 my little flat tummy feels like it's long gone! Hahaha

AcatcalledGary · 25/03/2019 17:39

@Sessy19 that’s fantastic news, you must be so relieved! Did they say what caused the bleed?

tigsyboo · 25/03/2019 18:35

That's great news @Sessy19 xxx

I had a private scan this morning and midwife booking in apt this afternoon
I'm 8+4 but measuring at 8+5
Saw the heartbeat going good and fast, they said they don't measure them but certainly looked more than 2 beats per second 💕 got a pic too! CRL was 20.9mm if anyone is a statistic lover

Knowing everything is looking positive and with a picture in my bag, We decided to go and tell my mum and dad, mum was absolutely thrilled and really positive about stuff which was great, given her a real focus other than her cancer 💕

Booking in apt was dull as dishwater... a million questions I could have filled in at home and blowing in a carbon monoxide meter x

@tigsyboo that's so amazing. Making me really emotional for mine on Friday! (In a good way!)

Waitingformyrainbow · 25/03/2019 18:49

@tigsyboo beautiful picture! Aww it's so lovely, I went on Friday and really want to go again! Xx

Sessy19 · 25/03/2019 18:55

@acatcalledgary, the nurse sonigropher I saw in EPU said it’s hard to know, but because there were clots and tissue in the blood, it’s possible that one twin didn’t make it. We’ll never know, but she reassured me that big bleeds are in fact much more common than I’d suspect.

Maybeayemaybenaw · 25/03/2019 18:59

Hi, do you mind if I join? I’m 5+5, and today I have had a really sharp pain about 4 fingers width in from the top of my left hip bone. It’s only sore when I move. Has anyone else had this?
Was hoping it’s maybe muscular? If it was a few inches higher up or round the side I’d maybe be less concerned. Really trying not too overthink, but it’s sooo hard!

LittleAndOften · 25/03/2019 19:06

@Maybeayemaybenaw Corpus luteum pain, as I have found out from joining this thread! Although the source of my pain was identified from an early scan, so I'd tell your midwife in case it's ectopic x

Maybeayemaybenaw · 25/03/2019 19:19

Thanks @LittleAndOften I’m slightly concerned it could be ectopic, does anyone know if the pain of this would only be when I move?

LittleAndOften · 25/03/2019 19:23

@Maybeayemaybenaw no idea I'm afraid. Mine comes and goes but I feel it frequently during the day. I suppose yours could be muscular - I sneezed without bracing earlier and felt like I'd pulled my whole pelvis!

Pollypocket5 · 25/03/2019 19:24

Hi guys!

Trying to keep up with all these messages. The date from my last period put me at 7+2 however when I went for my early scan I was 5+6. Is this normal? They didn't have any concerns and said everything looks healthy but I just worry!

Mintypea5 · 25/03/2019 19:26

@tigsyboo great scan picture!!!

We've got our early scan tomorrow because of history of miscarriage and I'm terrified!! Had a call with work today too as I'm due back from maternity leave next week. Not looking forward to telling them I'm off again

withsexypantsandasausagedog · 25/03/2019 19:33

@Leleophants I haven't seen the midwife yet either. Will ring tomorrow and see if I can get through. According to me I should be 8 weeks on Wednesday but I always hear about people being way off so I guess I won't know for a little while!

@Sessy19 That is wonderful news!

Littleseed · 25/03/2019 19:39

@BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil

I was absolutely ecstatic for you when I read your post! I won't lie- I've been coming onto the thread to check for you everyday, in the hope that you'd come back. When I saw your post, I was so thrilled, I shared it with DH. Halo Flowers xx

@Sessy19 darling. Flowers I read your post when you posted it this morning, and refrained from commenting because I was optimistic for you. Then, I was going to post and say it isn't over yet, until you've had the scan and that @Mintypea5 had also had a major bleed with her previous pregnancy which turned out just fine. Smile I'm so happy my gut feeling for you was right! Flowers Great news! xx

@MintyPea5 I'm feeling optimistic for you and feel your scan tomorrow will be just fine. As for work, don't worry lovely, I know it's easier said than done, but you have worked for them for a while and this is only the second maternity leave (?) ( not sure if you had DS 7 year old while there?) So if you think about 2 divided by the number of years, it isn't much. Grin Maybe you can even jokingly say I'm making up for all those years I worked without having to take a maternity leave lol. Wink
