@wombatstew I’m so sorry. I hope you have great support around you at this difficult time.

@walktwomoons Yep, I’ve turned into a blood hound this week. Everybody’s perfume is making me feel so nauseous!

MindyMoonstone · 31/03/2019 19:54

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 31/03/2019 20:34

Lozzlepop · 01/04/2019 09:26

Morning ladies, hope we are all doing well and had a nice weekend!

@TrashKitten10 ahhh thats amazing, bet you must be so relieved 😃

@WombatStewForTea so sorry to hear this lovely, hope you are doing as well as can be expected but don't go doubting yourself or your pregnancy as it was very much real!

The nausea has deffo kicked up a notch and this morning was the closest I have felt to actually being sick, my OH said I walked in the room and looked awful 😂 why thanks darling!! lol how is everyone else feeling?

Aph413 · 01/04/2019 09:47

@Lozzlepop my nausea has really kicked in the last day or two. Feels like extreme hunger pains or travel sickness. I got to the point yesterday where I just wanted to throw up and get it over with.
My husband also greeted me with god you look awful when he collected me from work last night. Thanks dear.

Hope everyone is ok.
Having quite a bit of cramping today (7+4) but been Assured by my friends it is my uterus growing etc?? Theres no spotting or anything, guess I've just got to trust my body is doing what it should be?!

BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil · 01/04/2019 10:41

Had my third early scan this morning... and after the longest twelve days of thinking this wasnt going to happen for me, turns out third time lucky! Grin

7+1, lovely strong heartbeat and my new EDD of 17/11... over the bloody moon!!!

Back in two weeks for a better dating scan, now theres a heartbet I can relax a bit and look forward to it! Grin

jacquesjacques · 01/04/2019 10:45

@BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil this has made my morning! ThanksCake

Mintypea5 · 01/04/2019 10:48

@BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil wonderful news! We're the same EDD going on early scans dating! Ps your user name is the best

I'm getting really to go back to work this week after 9 months of maternity. I think it's my hormones but I've spent the morning h cleaning and crying. Still basically zero symptoms but trying not to let that worry me. Early scan was good so keeping my fingers crossed that little blob is all safe in there until the 12 week scan

LittleAndOften · 01/04/2019 10:57

@BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil wonderful news. I'm 8+1 today, 2nd scan on Thursday.

@mintypea5 good luck with work. I'm crying at everything - that counts as a symptom!

So we ended up telling the PILs yesterday. We went over for the afternoon and were meant to stay for dinner. After 2 hours of sitting chatting on the sofa I couldn't do it any more. I was feeling worse and worse. They kept asking me if I was ill, I said I had a headache, they offered paracetamol, in the end I ran out of excuses. We told them and I came home early. It was such a relief to collapse at home!

Mintypea5 · 01/04/2019 11:05

@LittleAndOften thank you Smile
Must have been a little bit of a relief to tell them? Makes it easier. My mil kept trying to give me some yesterday but I'm not a big drinker anyway / have a horrible cough so managed to avoid without suspicion I think.

Pollypocket5 · 01/04/2019 11:09

@BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil Brilliant news! So happy for you!

I've got some bad cramping today (7 weeks) but just trying to remain positive as have had no spotting or anything. Just keep telling myself it's my body changing.

LittleAndOften · 01/04/2019 11:18

@mintypea5 yes it was really. I don't like lying and I'm bad at it! Just trying to contain their excitement a bit as we got to 12 weeks this time last year but no further.

Pollypocket5 · 01/04/2019 12:08

Has anyone had any lower back pain yet? I started having cramps at the front of my belly but seems to have moved to my lower back.

Do you think I should be worried?

Mintypea5 · 01/04/2019 12:16

@Pollypocket5 I've had some but I have a bad back anyway so it's fairly common for me. If you can rest up a bit and see how things go. If you're hot no bleeding or spotting chances are it's just your body stretching and things but if worried call your midwife if you've booked in or local epu. The local epu will have midwives who can chat to you and offer advice / reassurance xx

Pollypocket5 · 01/04/2019 12:20

Thanks @Mintypea5. I don't think my chair at work is helping either. Had no spotting or anything like that. It's more like a dull ache too so don't think it's anything to really worry about. I'll see how it goes today and if it gets worse will ring the epu.

Thankyou xx

Mintypea5 · 01/04/2019 12:26

@Pollypocket5 it could be your chair. Obviously not yet if you haven't told them but once you've told work ask for a desk assessment etc (they should really do one anyway once they know youre pregnant) see if maybe you can get a better chair or a back support! It can get surprisingly uncomfortable sitting on a hair all day xx

Pollypocket5 · 01/04/2019 12:40

@Mintypea5 Yess I was thinking that! I also feel like I'm the size of a house today too so think everything is just stretching and moving around!

When will you be telling your work?

Mintypea5 · 01/04/2019 12:51

@Pollypocket5 after my 12 week scan. Last time I had to tell early because of multiple bleeds and needing appointments etc but I'm actually returning from maternity on Thursday so it's going to be an interesting conversation! Hoping this pregnancy will be less stressful at work.

In general tho I think it's good to tell them as soon as your feel comfortable so you can get stuff like desk & risk assessments done. Also then any sick or appointments that are pregnancy related don't count against you! Grin

Pollypocket5 · 01/04/2019 12:59

@Mintypea5 Well hopefully they'll be fine about it. Not a lot they can say I guess.

Yes I'm thinking of waiting for my 12 week scan too. I've already found it difficult with appointments. I've booked my midwife appointment as holiday and then they have let me go to my scan appointment without any questions. (Told them I had hospital)

Lozzlepop · 01/04/2019 14:45

@Pollypocket5 I have had some intermittent cramps and back pains I am putting it down to everything just stretching and getting ready for whats to come.

I have just booked my early scan in for Easter weekend, hopefully we get to see our little bean and all is well 😀🐰

Prequelle · 01/04/2019 15:30

Supposed to be measured for my summer uniform tomorrow (we are allowed light weight scrubs in summer because of how hot it gets) but I've worked out they'll need to last from 14 to 31 weeks so that's not going to happen 😂

Pollypocket5 · 01/04/2019 15:42

@Lozzlepop Yeah its all stopped now so I was either hungry or everything was stretching!

Aww I'm excited for you. How far will you be? It's the best feeling ever seeing that little blob.
