Agreed. Ive got three other kids and didnt have sickness at all.

Back slowly away from the search button...

Aph413 · 29/03/2019 18:56

I feel like there ought to be an "I'm pregnant" search filter. A bit like a child safe search, just blocks all my searches for me 😅.
But it's very reassuring to hear it from others all the same.
I can only imagine how much I'm going to worry about this baby when it finally gets here.

@Aph413 I have to be honest I think there is something worrying at every stage! Everyone is like get to 12 weeks and I'm fine and the. You find something else to worry about but it's normal and every pregnancy is different ♥️ I tend to find asking advice her or looking on other sites like baby centre are more reassuring than google. I've given myself many a sleepless night over a google search faceplam

Prequelle · 29/03/2019 19:19

I've only had a couple of days sickness too! I think something like 25% of women don't get 'proper' morning sickness.

Aph413 · 29/03/2019 19:25

@Prequelle I had a few days of a nauseous taste in my throat and mouth but that went away and hitting 6 weeks without anything else got me very worried. Of course googling doesn't help matters at all

My gp was terrible I had to be onto the midwife team constantly and finally have a booking appointment at 10 weeks. Keep calm, deep breath and just be organised!

Pop1234 · 29/03/2019 20:06

My back is really sore tonight and it's making me so anxious 😢 feel like I'm scarred for life after my 3 miscarriages. Sorry for the moan.

Mintypea5 · 29/03/2019 20:14

@Pop1234 can you describe what kind of sore. I understand the fear I had similar today. Had that achy back feeling and panicked a bit but it's calmed down now. I figured it's just everything stretching & moving. Rest up lovely xx

Pollypocket5 · 29/03/2019 20:16

Sorry that you're feeling anxious ladies

I think it must be something in the air today. I've had such a bad headache all day with no appetite and feeling sick. To top it off just started getting some cramping.

Early night I think is in order, if my bedtime can get any earlier.

Mintypea5 · 29/03/2019 20:24

DH is out, DS1 and his dads and by a miracle DS2 went down like a dream so I'm taking advantage and watching old costume dramas on dvd Grin nice relaxing evening

Pop1234 · 29/03/2019 20:24

@Mintypea5 it's almost like a bit of a burning pain in my lower back. Mostly in the right side but sometimes moves across. How would you describe yours? Xx

Mintypea5 · 29/03/2019 20:26

@Pop1234 my felt almost like the kinda backache I get with a period but it didn't last long and potentially I associated it with that because I was having a flap and panic. I have a bad back anyway so is hard to tell! That sounds like it could be sciatica? I've already had some flare ups!

Pop1234 · 29/03/2019 21:14

@Mintypea5 when I spoke to EPU they said period pain kind of backache is completely normal. I had wondered if it was maybe sciatica. I've just taken the dogs a little walk round our field and it has eased a bit now. Do you think it's to early for me to be getting sciatica or muscle softening? Xx

Mintypea5 · 29/03/2019 21:37

@Pop1234 I'm not sure about too early? I've always had it in my pregnancies but I had it very bad for a few years about 10 yrs ago so am prone to it. Sorry not very helpful! I know a couple of people who've had it fairly early too so I think it can defo happen.

Take it easy! I usually use a hot water bottle or get DH to gentle massage the area because pain killers seem to be a no no when pregnant. Paracetamol doesn't do anything for it for me.

Bean1987 · 30/03/2019 01:12

@Pollypocket5

My doctors are useless too. Had booked in for my first midwife appointment yesterday (took leave of absence at work for it) sat in waiting room-midwife was 50mins late for my appointment. Finally got called in and she told me the doctor had misinformed me and that Reception should not have booked me in. She said the first midwife appointment is usually at home because it takes a lot longer. She apologised ‘lots’ for the mistake but said she couldn’t see me this morning. I got back in my car and sobbed so much (hormones obviously in overdrive/plus sickness has only hit me this week at 8 weeks) I am now having a ‘telephone call’ first appointment on Monday as I can’t get time off next week and she will post my notes. (Don’t know what that means regarding taking bloods though)

On a plus note did have an early scan last night. Felt so ill but refused to cancel after the mornings palava (I actually threw up in a carrier back while partner was driving 🤦🏻‍♀️) Glad I went though....now dated at 8+3 instead of 8+6, with EDD at 5.11.19 now instead of 3.11.19. Amazing to see heart beating-would totally recommend.

WombatStewForTea · 30/03/2019 06:25

Sorry to put a downer on things but I'm still bleeding and it has got heavier but I don't know if it's heavy enough to call again. Blood is now a much darker red and I've seen a clot. It's not flooding a pad or anything but it's definitely getting heavier

Prequelle · 30/03/2019 06:40

Sciatic pain can usually be quite sharp and run down the bum or the back leg. It doesn't feel like period back ache IMO.

wombat I would call again, absolutely. I hope things are going to be okay xx

PrayingandHoping · 30/03/2019 06:47

@WombatStewForTea how many weeks are u?

Yes I'd ring again, There are EPUs that open on a weekend u may just need to travel further

Hope you're ok x

BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil · 30/03/2019 06:48

Call again, definitely wombat hope things are ok x

WombatStewForTea · 30/03/2019 07:00

Thanks ended up calling 111 who have referred me to out of hours gp so waiting for a call back.

TrashKitten10 · 30/03/2019 07:01

@WombatStewForTea Hope you get a call back quickly and things are okay.

Bean1987 · 30/03/2019 07:19

@wombatStewForTea

You definitely did the right thing by ringing. Hope all is ok and they contact you soon. Other option is to visit a walk in, if you wish to see someone in person. Xxx

WombatStewForTea · 30/03/2019 07:51

Thanks. Spoke to a gynae nurse who wasn't concerned. Said if I go through several pads before lunch to call back and they'll see me but they don't have the facilities to scan me.
Sorry for tmi but whenever I go to register toilet blood is dripping out quite heavily but little is going through to pads.
Guess time will tell

Mintypea5 · 30/03/2019 08:11

@WombatStewForTea thinking of you. Try rest up as much as possible and call back if you feel more worried. They might not have the facilities to scan but can hopefully refer you for Monday xx

TrashKitten10 · 30/03/2019 14:15

Hi all, we went for our early scan today and it all looks good. I was so anxious before and had this really niggly worry about the pregnancy being ectopic. Well the baby is definitely in the right place and has a lovely heartbeat of 193bpm. It was super emotional and we are now telling my parents the happy news. I thought I was 7+6 but measured at 8+3 so slightly ahead. So relieved all is currently looking well :)
