@Pollypocket5 you are right. I can definitely drive myself mad over googling everything. The thing is if we want to find a problem, we will and that's all to it! I should take my own advice too! Smile are you going back for another scan or they have been able to see everything?

BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil · 27/03/2019 20:44

Can anyone else smell everything?

I was on the bus yesterday and this poor woman next to me must have thought Id gone crazy because I couldnt stop making faces. Technically it was her fault, because she stank of hair dye and fake tan. But still.

Same goes for people whove been drinking coffee and I swear I could smell cereal off my children after breakfast.

Pollypocket5 · 27/03/2019 20:47

@Babybloom crazy isn't it. The worse is yet to come. Wait till they are here. We will never stop worrying.

They found a baby and a heartbeat. Hopefully they will find something for you in a couple of weeks, may just be earlier than you thought.

Early scans are meant to put our mind at rest but think they just make us more anxious.

Babybloom · 27/03/2019 21:07

@Pollypocket5 that's what one of my friend said too, she's got a baby already. It's Mother Nature preparing us for what's to comeSmile I'm sure they will find a healthy heart beat it just takes time to show. I was surprised tbh that they didn't do a TV scan as it's so hard to see a baby this early with a normal scan.
As you said they meant to make us feel reassured not worried! I don't know if I will do the early scan next time around Grin

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 27/03/2019 21:28

Bananas Yes! I’ve had this for all pregnancies. It’s apparently very common. My sense of smell is so strong I can smell if DH is eating food in the other room (and I don’t mean smelly food, I mean like a packet of crisps!).

Sleepyquest · 27/03/2019 21:34

Thought I was 7+3 but today they said 6+4 which doesn’t make much sense to me, but if it has happened to nearly all of us, must just be the way they do it! I googled a lot too and made myself so sad and now I think I will quit the internet for a few weeks lol.

Mintypea5 · 27/03/2019 21:40

@Sleepyquest they're measuring something soooooo small that it's very common for it to not quiet match up with your dates for an early scan but a 7 days either side of your dates is what they class as normal. That's why the dating scab is done at 12 weeks because that's the lost accurate early point for them to measure.

Sleepyquest · 27/03/2019 21:43

Thanks mintypea! Just hope the next 6 weeks go fast Grin

Mintypea5 · 27/03/2019 21:51

@Sleepyquest I know it can be worrying. I had the same thing last baby had a bleed when I should have been 7 weeks dates to 6 but with heartbeat told it was fine and fitted with my LMP. Went in for another bleed at 11 weeks by that early scan. They did the scan and asked if I could come back later for my 12 week scan because my dates had moved back where I should have been and I was now closer to 13 weeks than 11 heading into new year so didn't want me to miss my window.

Preggosaurus9 · 28/03/2019 02:10

@BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil Yup. DC smells.. intense Confused can't stand the smell of food, antiperspirants, perfumes... basically anything and everything. Quite glad to have a bit of a cold!

thumper59 · 28/03/2019 07:52

My sense of smell is awful with food, I couldn't eat at all yesterday I had a bowl of cereal for tea so hoping the nausea stays away for me today. We have our scan tomorrow and I am so so nervous! I feel like my belly is starting to change shape? Only noticeable to me granted! But the bottom is like rounding off it's so weird. I know it's bloat and not baby but it doesn't even look like my belly anymore 😂

Leleophants · 28/03/2019 08:16

8+2 nausea starting :( how do you all cope with work?

L0ULEW · 28/03/2019 08:24

@Leleophants currently not very well. 😂Thankfully I work from home so I can work at my own pace but I'm finding it impossible to concentrate, having about 3 baths a day too to settle my little jelly bean as getting really bad pains on and off.

Pollypocket5 · 28/03/2019 08:25

@Babybloom it sure is. My best friend has just had her baby and she's worrying more now than when she was pregnant.

Yes I had a TV scan but couldn't really see anything. I felt bad because I was like what am I looking at. But just knowing something was there gave me peace of mind for all of 5 minutes haha.

Here's to the next 6 weeks!!

Babybloom · 28/03/2019 08:27

@Pollypocket5 awww bless you huni! Everything will be all good Smile we are worrying for no reason probably but it's a nervous period we obviously want to make sure our babies are healthy.

Lozzlepop · 28/03/2019 08:43

@PyjamasForever thats awful, hope you are ok. Maybe put an appeal out on Facebook for witnesses, someone may have seen something?

@Pop1234 welcome and congrats, yes I have been suffering with a sore back too and am just 5 weeks myself, it comes and goes and isn't overly sore just a dull pain. Also had a strange leg pain yesterday which was like a pinching!

@jacquesjacques dying at your tits of fire comment 😂

@BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil I have quite a sensitive sense of smell anyway so I am not looking forward to this development 😣

@thumper59 thats so exciting that your scan is tomorrow!!

At what point has everyone booked in a private scan for? I am thinking of holding off until about 8 weeks but I should I wait longer?

PrayingandHoping · 28/03/2019 08:46

@Lozzlepop I had mine at 7 weeks and saw heartbeat 👍

Lozzlepop · 28/03/2019 08:49

@PrayingandHoping oh thats amazing 🙂will deffo think about booking in for 8 weeks, did you measure as you thought or like some of the other ladies did they put you back a bit?

PrayingandHoping · 28/03/2019 08:54

@Lozzlepop back a couple of days but told me to completely discard that as mines an IVF baby so there's absolutely no doubt to beans exact age!!!! She said they are still curled up then so impossible to accurately measure. But had the fetal pole and sack.

Pop1234 · 28/03/2019 08:54

@Lozzlepop thank you I'm glad it's not just me. Mine seems to be worse when I'm sat on my chair at my desk at work. Think I just need to be on my sofa at home.. Not working 😂

Lozzlepop · 28/03/2019 09:04

@PrayingandHoping ahhh thats so exciting, I just wish I could speed time up to check there is something in there!

@Pop1234 yeah I hear you, I am sat on said chair right now. I have also found that I have no stamina, running for the tram just about kills me 😂

Pop1234 · 28/03/2019 09:12

@Lozzlepop me too. I meant to bring a cushion with me today but I've forgotten so another uncomfortable day it is.

thumper59 · 28/03/2019 09:12

@Leleophants with great difficulty 😫 trying to sip water slowly through out the day, and have some dry cereal to nibble on!

@Lozzlepop aw I know I'm just so nervous! I'll be 8+4 tomorrow for my scan, I'd wait till 8 weeks minimum if I was you then you've a high chance of being able to see everything and not missing anything off and worrying yourself for another 2 weeks x

Lozzlepop · 28/03/2019 09:20

@Pop1234 I feel for you. I don't have it too bad as will walk up to one of our other offices later then am off to the gym at lunch then will be more comfortable seating for this afternoon.

@thumper59 I'm sure everything will be just perfect! Yeah I think I will do that, which will nicely coincide with easter weekend 🐰X

thumper59 · 28/03/2019 10:01

I've been only drinking water/dilute and orange juice since finding out I was pregnant but I've just caved and bought a Dr Pepper. Oh wow it's amazing- I've been feeling quite faint this morning too so maybe my body was letting me know I needed sugar!
