Hi everyone, hope you're all managing to cope with those pesky symptoms. I had a singing lesson today - the first for a month. I really struggled physically so I had to tell my teacher why. I had no stamina at all, got light-headed and had to sit down! Felt like such a flake.

I also had to tell my parents I'm pg as we have a family reunion in the Midlands on Saturday and I was going to go up alone and stay at a hotel overnight (dh and I already decided there was no point in hauling our toddler up there). It's also my brother's birthday and of course mother's day but I feel so rough there's no way I can do the 3 1/2 hour drive. They were fine about it thankfully - they just want me to look after myself 🙂

peaky297 · 26/03/2019 17:48

Can I join please ladies?
I have a due date of November 25th going by date of my last AFO. However, going on when my OPKs said I ovulated I think it's more around November 29th, but the dating scan will reveal all when it FINALLY comes around! How is everyone doing? What's your symptoms etc?

Sessy19 · 26/03/2019 17:58

I called the EPU and they put me through to a dr. It’s not their protocol to scan again within a week, but she reassured me enough on the phone. It makes sense, I just have to wait for my MW appt. I think I feel better just knowing that they know 😊

Mintypea5 · 26/03/2019 18:04

@Sessy19 glad you got some reassurance

@Littleseed I'm seeing my midwife on the 18th so not tooooo long to wait. I hope they still do paper notes here but I know we're moving towards online stuff.

The local hospital I go to for scans etc won't be the one I have baby at. I need to go to the greatest big city for that! Our local one is a midwife led unit that's only manned part time for delivery

@peaky297 congratulations and welcome!!

I'm beyond tired today and have a headache! Woe is me

Sleepyquest · 26/03/2019 18:12

@peaky297 nausea, cramps, banging headache and tiredness today. Seriously feeling sorry for myself!

How about everyone else? Happy to see everyone else is going for an early scan too, as I am tomorrow!

Avf88 · 26/03/2019 18:28

I am so so tired, went to bed at 8 last night and slept through. Then fell asleep on the train today which I never do! My backs really bad but nausea has eased, although that’s making me worry that somethings wrong Confused can’t win!!

WombatStewForTea · 26/03/2019 19:47

@peaky297 Welcome! You've got the same due date but like you I ovulate late so who knows!

peaky297 · 26/03/2019 20:03

Thanks ladies! I almost wish I had more symptoms...not that I wish morning sickness upon myself but I just feel fine apart from sore boobs and the odd bit of cramping. I am also having restless nights sleep I suppose, but nothing that screams "pregnant!!" If that makes sense? Maybe it's too soon for all that jazz, but I just worry sometimes.

JoJoSaysHello · 26/03/2019 20:11

Had my early scan tonight (wasn't sure of dates due to variable cycle lengths but thought I was 6w1d to 6w4d). Gestational sac & yolk was all that could be seen.... No heartbeat. But then I have gone very very early. Going back for a rescan in two weeks. Will be hoping & praying until then!!

Avf88 · 26/03/2019 20:14

I take it back, nausea back with a vengeance! Can’t wait to get home and get into bed

Mintypea5 · 26/03/2019 20:20

@JoJoSaysHello I'm sure when you got back in two weeks they'll see a lovely heartbeat. How are you feeling? Xx

Smiffette · 26/03/2019 20:24

I have my first midwife appointment next Tuesday, I'm looking forward to it as it will make it all feel more real!
Like some posts of read, I've had very few symptoms, even the tiredness has subsided. The only thing that remains is heartburn/reflux.
I'm worried about my BMI and I'm not big by any means and I am 5ft8in but I had put on weight of Christmas as most do then with feeling pregnant soon after I hadn't managed to loose the holiday weight, and I seem to have put on 9lbs in the last 8 weeks! Confused
I still fit in my size 12 jeans although after eating they are really tight and my boobs have gone up a cup size making my tops quite snug....
Is there a lot of emphasis on weight at the first appointment???
I keep reading that you don't/ shouldn't put on more than a few lbs in the first trimester!

LittleAndOften · 26/03/2019 20:30

@smifette I reckon that was made up by a man Grin Whoever said you "shouldn't" put on weight has clearly never dealt with overwhelming instant hunger pangs and ridiculous cravings. I think our bodies tell us what we need and we should listen to them. The mw will do your bmi, just a quick height and weight check. Don't worry about it x

Littleseed · 26/03/2019 21:01

Ohh, you have to deliver at another hospital then @Mintypea5!
It was funny because I'd watched a 2017 pregnancy Vlog explaining what to expect in the booking in appointment, and I specifically took an empty tote which I'd planned to conceal my folder in from the World, and was amazed that they don't do them anymore. She said apparently they'd stopped since April last year- almost a year now she said.

Littleseed · 26/03/2019 21:04

Don't worry @JoJoSaysHello it's just that you must be less than you thought and when you go back in 2 weeks, you'll see the little miracle. Flowers

JoJoSaysHello · 26/03/2019 21:08

@Mintypea5 To be honest I feel a bit down because I was so hoping for a heartbeat and there wasn't even a foetal pole, but I only have myself to blame for being so impatient!! I hope it's just timing anyway. On a positive note the sac is where it should be and my pains aren't signs of ectopic. Trying to be positive - DH thinks it's all very positive which is helping.

JoJoSaysHello · 26/03/2019 21:28

Thank you @Littleseed Smile

Smiffette · 26/03/2019 21:31

@littleandoften thanks SmileI'm probably just worrying about nothing! I know I was so hungry from what would have been week 3-7 only now has that seemed to have settled back to my normal eating!

Littleseed · 26/03/2019 21:34

I do think it's the timing @JoJoSaysHello and it's great that your husband is positive! Smile
It is positive, that the sac is where it should be and that there's no ectopic. The wait is always hard, but hold onto those positive thoughts. xx

Mintypea5 · 26/03/2019 21:36

@JoJoSaysHello I understand Thanks

I feel like I have the flu! It's bloody annoying now. I'm also knackered but know as soon as I get into bed I'll be uncomfortable and grumpy Grin poor DH can't win tonight

FirstTimeMama91 · 26/03/2019 22:25

Early scan booked Grin can't wait! It's in two weeks time when I'll be 8 weeks. Only thing annoying me... mother in law wants to come with us!! not happening I know she's just excited but I've said no, it's our first experience and I just want it to be us. What do yous think?

JoJoSaysHello · 26/03/2019 22:31

@FirstTimeMama91 What!!! It would be a definite no from me. Share the photos after, maybe even give her a copy?

FirstTimeMama91 · 26/03/2019 22:35

@JoJoSaysHello yep exactly! I'm more than happy to share copies. Uh!!

Aph413 · 26/03/2019 22:39

We've booked our early scan to coincide with a weekend away when I'll be 8 weeks. MIL demanding to know why we're going there and why won't we have our scan done at the same place as SIL. I just want to shush her
