Back to my old name now lol x

ChaosMoon · 16/03/2019 19:16

@AnnaMC214 I had to do the same thing in the first trimester. I'll have everything crossed for you on Monday. And for you @stormtrooperjulian.

I'm glad he's been more active as the day's gone on @MrsC87. At that stage, I found the was a definite pattern Monday to Friday but it all went to pot at the weekend. Probably because my routine was different so I was rocking it to sleep and waking it up at different times. It's so worrying though, isn't it?

Any news from your scan @EltzBee? I'm 50% sure it's a girl. 😉

Tried to buy nursing bras today but I couldn't find anything that fitted. Going to have to resort to internet shopping, I'm just so bad at taking things back!

Crossfitgirl · 16/03/2019 19:56

Euh @chaosmoon I feel your pain. I hate shopping, but also hate not trying stuff on so Internet shopping is always such a faf, ordering different sizes and then sending it back! Let me know if you find any decent ones! Xxx

Scarlett says 'Good evening!' ❤

MrsC87 · 16/03/2019 20:47

Oh she's absolutely beautiful @CobaltRose96 💕 how are you doing? x

CobaltRose96 · 16/03/2019 20:52

Thank you @MrsC87, can't believe she's mine ❤ We're both doing well. She doesn't like her crib at the moment and will scream as soon as she's put in it, so me and dad have to take it in turns to hold her when she's napping. We don't mind though ❤ Breastfeeding is going well, even if it's very full on this early!

MrsC87 · 16/03/2019 20:58

Enjoy the cuddles @CobaltRose96, I think I will just sit and stare at my baby for hours on end when he is here 💙😍
How did the initial breastfeeding go, did she latch in the hospital pretty quickly?
I'm a little nervous of breastfeeding for some reason. Maybe I'm worried he won't latch x

CobaltRose96 · 16/03/2019 21:04

@MrsC87, it's fantastic, I love baby cuddles ❤ And to think this time less than a week ago I'd never even held a baby before!

She latched on straight after birth, so we were very lucky! It can be tricky and painful at first, but with practice it gets easier ❤

Crossfitgirl · 16/03/2019 22:10

@CobaltRose96 I could look at her all day ❤️❤️❤️ such a beauty. Too right she's yours, and you made her! 9 months growing in you! It's such an amazing thing. Aww enjoy the cuddles, some people say there is a 4th trimester as the baby adjusts to being outside the womb... She just wants to be with mummy and daddy, it must feel lovely. Glad breastfeeding is going well and you are getting some lovely family cuddle time xxx

SullyWifey · 17/03/2019 08:30

@CobaltRose96 congratulations lovely we is an absolute dream 😍😍 and well done for going through labour like that!! Thais madness!!

20 weeks today ladies. Half way there. I can't wait to meet my little darling!!

Question: when do partners usually get to feel kicks? Baby is soooo active but DH still can't feel anything!Xxxx

ChaosMoon · 17/03/2019 08:50

Will do @Crossfitgirl. Assuming I ever pluck up the courage to press submit on this £400 order. Even with the intention / expectation of returning most all of them, it's still sickening to have to pay that much initially. And I'm not even convinced I've selected enough sizes to find something that works. ☹️

Really glad to hear she's feeding well @CobaltRose96. I keep hearing that it gets harder again for a while when your milk comes through, so don't despair if that happens. You've done it once so you can do it again.b Isn't it lovely to know that you and Scarlet are already working as a team? She really is a beauty.

@SullyWifey of memory serves, it was at about 21 weeks that he started feeling them properly. But not necessarily regularly... It gradually increased from there.

I hope you're all having lovely weekends. 37 weeks today, so I'm about to put up the Next To Me. It's time!

RanchoRelaxo · 17/03/2019 10:20

@SullyWifey I think mine was about 20 weeks, if not a little before, but he had to have his hand on my belly for a while before he felt anything, even though I could feel baby kicking he only felt the big forward ones if you get me
I was lying in bed this morning and I saw her kick! It was a massive one right under my belly button and it made me stomach jump right out! I've not seen a kick yet, so funny!

EltzBee · 17/03/2019 13:03

Hi ladies! Sorry I'm late posting yesterday was so busy and not long woke up and got moving oops!

Our scan went well yesterday, little Bean was measuring 16+1 bang on!

And the lady doing the ultrasound was very confident that our bean is... A girl!

To begin with legs were closed then she opened then up and lady was 98% sure girl. Did some wiggling to get Bean moving and the lady got a good view and says looks like a text book girly! 😊 She was very confident!

So exciting want expecting that at all, with all the boys in DHs side of the family! 😂

Amazing to see her (got to get used to saying her now!) In the 4D as well! Turns out my placenta is also at the front.

Here's our little lady snuggled in to her placenta as a pillow and the "potty shot"!!!

Congrats @EltzBee, that's definitely a little girlie 💗 proud I guessed right 😊
Enjoy shopping for girly clothes, the shops have lovely things in at the moment 🥰

mrsof20118 · 17/03/2019 15:15

So pleased your scan went well @EltzBee. This group is strong for girls!

I have my 20 week scan tomorrow. Will be 20 plus 5. Other half yet to feel kicks. Hoping when we are on holiday in a few weeks there will be plenty of chances x

Delilah7 · 17/03/2019 15:46

Thanks everyone! Keeping fingers crossed it doesn't change at our 20 week scan in 3.5 weeks lol!!

@Crossfitgirl did your scan look the same? Love the little hat btw that's so cute!! Where did you find that?

mrsof20118 · 17/03/2019 19:12

That's so cute @crossfitgirl
Need to start researching breast pumps and bottles. Planning to breastfeed but may combination feed with expressed milk after a few weeks so other half can get to take part in the feeding too. Any recommendations for the pump or bottles?
X

sunshine1987 · 17/03/2019 19:34

@mrsof20118 from my research the medala swing pump comes highly recommended along with mam bottles (they’re anti colic) xx

Crossfitgirl · 17/03/2019 20:15

@eltzbee yes she was all cuddled up to the placenta too. So cute! We're also hoping the 20 week scan coming up on Friday confirms its a girl!
The hat is from mamas and papas. I got a little matching bib and a little fluffy sheep toy too! Hehe. They were just so adorable. Also, have a look at the asda 7 piece girl sets. They have some adorable ones (I plan to get the bambi one and the Christopher Robin one) and they're only about £12-13.

@mrsof20118 I've also heard the medela pumps are good. My friend has a tommee tippee one she says is great (can ask her the model) and has used it for her two kids.
I've got that haakaa silicone one to catch milk from the opposite boob when feeding, they seem really highly recommended too (@sunshine1987 recommended it when it was on offer it was only £13). They aparently catch much more when you're already feeding, with little effort, they're silent and good for travelling. Aparently not great for just hand pumping, but still. I thought to catch milk when already feeding was a good way to save time and effort!

I plan to get a double electric one at some point, can't decide whether before or after birth!

EltzBee · 17/03/2019 20:42

@Crossfitgirl ah cool! She did look very cosy like she'd for herself a little pillow sorted to snuggle into bless her!

Ooh good tip on Asda. We picked up a little pink Beatrix Potter outfit from Sainsbury's after our scan yesterday 😊 wanted something to have lol!

I've heard that wider necked bottles are good to reduce air intake, but that all babies like different ones so that it is sometimes better to get a couple options and wait to order a bigger set of just one type. We're planning to ff but in sure the same logic would apply to expressed milk.

@EltzBee ooh congrats darling. What a lovely picture! I'm sure it will be the same!! Potty shot looks very girl to me!!xxx

We have our scan on Friday too so think there's a few of us this week!?

stormtrooperjulian · 18/03/2019 08:06

@EltzBee so pleased your scan went well

@Crossfitgirl that little hat is so cute!

I’m 12+5 today, got my scan this afternoon. Trying to stay calm about it! How long did it take to get the results of the combined test through for you guys? I want to start telling people soon but I want the results first.
