Feeling really tired still and yday morning was sick again. 16 week's today so maybe the magic glow and energy will start soon?! Fingers crossed lol!

@CobaltRose96 congratulations she is absolutely beautiful and I love her name. I hope you're recovering well and it definitely pays to stand your ground. Only we know our bodies!

I've still had bouts of nausea. I'm 19weeks today and find I'm only sick when I don't eat or an overtired. I've had a fair amount of aches and pains too so I'm guessing this is a good sign baby is growing. I definitely wouldn't describe myself as glowing lol! Still waiting for that bit. Although my hair is lovely and thick and my skin is clear as I usually suffer with a lot of spots etc.

@EltzBee I hope you're ok now. Same thing happened to me in new look when I was returning some maternity clothes. I went all hot and felt faint I managed to get myself outside for a sit down and a drink and went straight home! Hormones!!! 🤦🏽‍♀️

CobaltRose96 · 15/03/2019 09:49

Thank you all! We're both doing well and Scarlett is such a content little baby ❤ Unfortunately she came so quickly (only had to push for seven minutes!) that I had to have a few stitches. Aside from that and being royally tired, I'm good!

Not exactly the chilled water birth I'd hoped for Grin, but both Scarlett and I are well and that's all that matters ❤

EltzBee · 15/03/2019 10:04

@canonlyhopexo ah the glamour of pregnancy eh! The staff in mothercare were so lovely bless them, I guess they're used to it!

On the plus side DH has now ruled out the Cosatto pram, on the down side the short list is now the more expensive Egg Quail and the iCandy Peach. I really like both, I'm leaning slightly to the Peach as it seems it's that bit better at being slightly 'off road' for those times we go out for the day. Only catch is will need to take the wheels off to get in the boot of the smaller car, but they do literally just pop off easily so perhaps a non-issue once you get used to it anyway! And both should fit in the 500. We're going to take the 500 to work one day next week hopefully (we usually take our bigger car if we drive, usually it's train anyway), and then pop to Mothercare after work and try getting each in to see how hard work it is.

Thanks for recommendations ladies on the hypnobirthing (sorry I have a total mental blank on who said they did a workshop at 27 weeks!) but that sounds like a good idea - I think we will try and book in for one for May as that'll give us time to 'practice' after still.

@CobaltRose96 bless you, definitely well done for listening to your body! That's amazing how quick she came out :o hopefully you heal quickly - you'll have to update us all on the realities of it when you're more settled! Make the most of this amazing time with Scarlett - she looks so perfect! Huge congratulations again.

@CobaltRose96 oh my god she's beautiful!!! What a wonderful weight too. Hope everything went ok??? Love the name Scarlett 😍❤️

AnnaMC214 · 15/03/2019 12:58

Hi everyone. I haven't been about for a little while as I had to step away from MN for my own sanity. I'm 11 weeks today and our first scan is a week on Monday. I could not be more nervous or anxious. I've convinced myself it will be bad news.

Anyway, I couldn't resist popping on here to see how everyone is doing and I see your wonderful news @CobaltRose96 ! It's so lovely to see a pic of your beautiful daughter and great to hear that you are both happy and healthy 😊 xx

EltzBee · 16/03/2019 09:01

Morning all. Today is our 16 week gender scan! Anyone want to hazard a guess in advance for fun? Eeeek

16+1 and been sick again this morning. Yuck to yellow stomach acid! Now to try stone porridge..!

@AnnaMC214 ah bless you, try not to stress or worry and remember that statistically it is far more likely to all be fine then not. I was terrified too so completely understand. I found it helped to see that the risk went down every single day. Look after yourself Hun and if you do need to chat, we're here for you.

@CobaltRose96, congratulations! What fantastic news 🙂🎉 Wishing you all the best xxx

Crossfitgirl · 16/03/2019 09:16

@annamc214 I was the same before my 12 week scan, try to do some relaxation, distract yourself beforehand, it helps!

@eltzbee I'm going with girl ❤️💗💖

Delilah7 · 16/03/2019 09:59

@EltzBee I'm going with a little 💙💙

Cookie0508 · 16/03/2019 10:04

@EltzBee basing this on no scientific evidence at all but going to say 💙💙!!

RanchoRelaxo · 16/03/2019 10:10

Exciting! @EltzBee I will go with little boy too I think, can't wait to see the lovely scan pics 😁

MrsC87 · 16/03/2019 10:18

I'm going with a girl @EltzBee 💗
Can't wait to see pics and hear from you later.
I'm sat here a little worried this morning. Yesterday I felt baby kick less often but he was kicking around 9.30pm last night. Not felt him yet this morning but I have only been up half hour 🙈 so tired on a night time and could sleep for England.
Will keep you updated as hoping he'll wake up and give me a good boot soon x

stormtrooperjulian · 16/03/2019 12:06

@EltzBee I think it’s a boy 💙

@ColbaltRose96 congratulations! She’s beautiful, and I love the name

@AnnaMC214 my scan is on Monday, I’m nervous too but I’m trying not to think about it, keep reminding myself that worrying won’t change anything so I may as well stay calm.

Crossfitgirl · 16/03/2019 12:07

@mrsc87 how far along are you now? My midwife told me it's totally normal for the baby to have quiet days or active days in the first few weeks of feeling them move, and to sometimes not feel them at all, as they are still quite small and can revert back to hiding basically right down in your pelvis so you can't feel them. She said by 28 weeks baby will have established more of a pattern and that's the time from which you should start monitoring it. I've had a few quiet days and still worry every time, but I'd call MW if you're concerned at all. They take everything seriously.

I did feel loads better talking to the MW about it though (I was only 17 weeks at the time! But didnt care about feeling stupid and told her it was my first time and she said that's exactly what they're there for).

Xxxx

RanchoRelaxo · 16/03/2019 12:16

@mrsc87 ah try not to worry, but if you have got any concerns I'm sure the midwife would be happy to listen and check, I have had a few mornings where I would usually feel movement only for there to be nothing, it's usually just as I'm starting to panic that she gives me a good kick and makes me jump again, think they have still got a bit of space to 'hide' towards the back where we can't quite feel them yet xx

AnnaMC214 · 16/03/2019 12:35

@EltzBee thank you for your kind words. I hope you have a lovely time at your scan today. I'm going to say baby will be a girl 😊💖

@Crossfitgirl thank you for the tips. I think distraction will be key! I just want it to be here now as time is going at a snails pace!

@stormtrooperjulian very wise words. How exciting that your scan is only two days away now! Sending you lots of good wishes and relaxing vibes xx

Hopefully I'll be back on here soon with some good news 😊

MrsC87 · 16/03/2019 13:20

@RanchoRelaxo @Crossfitgirl I've felt him thankfully, a cold glass of orange juice did it. I think I panicked because he does have a pattern now. A few kicks in morning, then lots at lunch, then he goes wild between 6.30 and 9.30pm. We'll see if he's a baby that doesn't like to go to sleep at night when he is born 🙈
Thankyou both for replying, its just nice to tell your worries too. I'm 22+4 now. xx

canonlyhopexo · 16/03/2019 14:00

@EltzBee ooooo that's so exciting you're finding out the gender. I'm not sure but I'm gunna go with either a girl or boy lol!

Reading lots of comments about movement. I felt movement really early on, about 13+6 I think then last few days not really felt much at all but haven't said anything because my midwife did tell me there wouldn't be as much pattern and have room etc so won't always be able to feel it anyway. DP has just started drilling some door handles on and I think i felt something then so must have woken baby up lol! It is nerve racking though and can't wait until I can notice more pattern. I'm 19+1 today. Xx

GemmaJen · 16/03/2019 14:35

Ooh exciting times @EltzBee! I'm going to say girl 😊

Talking movement, I was convinced I felt a bit of movement this morning, though I keep telling myself it's too early at 14+1. What did it feel like for you guys? It felt like a muscle spasm in my lower abdomen, very quck, usually I think I'm feeling something and it's just wind, lol 😆 but this definitely felt different?

We did our first visit to mothercare today, just to get a bit of an idea and pick up some catalogues, it felt very strange. They don't stock the pram that I thought I liked but they now do the cybex Balios, which is in the same range - anyone heard anything about this one or come across it in your searches?

MrsC87 · 16/03/2019 14:45

@GemmaJen that's exactly how I would describe it. I started feeling distinct movement at 18 weeks but realised I felt movement way earlier but just wasn't sure.
So yes you'll prob be feeling baby 😊

mrsof20118 · 16/03/2019 15:58

Congrats @CobaltRose96 she's absolute perfection.

@MrsC87 I'm the same no pattern yet and get worried if i haven't felt anything x

Gymbunnygirl · 16/03/2019 16:29

@canonlyhopexo I thought I'd felt something at about 14 weeks too, but still can't be sure that it was, even having now felt definite movements! I'm 19+1 as well. When is your 20 week scan? Mines next Fri 22nd.

@gemmajen 14 weeks is v early but its different for everyone. I knew for definite at 17 weeks. It felt like a tiny little tap or jab, really low down in my abdomen like right by my pubic bone. I would have passed it off as wind, you know when a little wind bubble pops, but I kept feeling it in the same spot every now and again and that's what gave it away for me. It definitely didn't feel like fluttering... It def felt like kicks and they have very gradually got stronger past 2 weeks. I might have felt it before 17 weeks but as it wasn't all the time maybe hadn't clocked yet thats what it was. X

Gymbunnygirl · 16/03/2019 16:30

Sorry its crossfit here I tried to change my name for another post, I thought it would change all my previous posts but it didn't so it was a waste of time as I'd already posted the one I thought I'd want to change my name for ! Going to change it back lol x

canonlyhopexo · 16/03/2019 16:32

@Gymbunnygirl it didn't feel how I was expecting and it's the same sort of sensation now I think just stronger. I checked with my midwife at 16+6 and she said it sounded like it was baby. When she was listening to the heart beat there was a little thump and she said it was the baby moving but I didn't feel that! Ah due date twins! Tuesday 26th in the afternoon. I'm really nervous!!
