@EltzBee yeah, that's what she was saying. She said "I don't want to bring you in for a scan that's not going to reassure you when we can't see anything!" Which I completely agree with. Doesn't stop me worrying though! I'll be alright though. My mum was great this morning (very glad I told both sets of parents and work!) and she has told "Peanut" off for misbehaving 😂 xx

EltzBee · 30/04/2019 13:59

@MrsR16 glad they gave you the right information :) love that your mum told them off! Bless her. Try not to worry (I know it's easier said than done) - I wish I could say the worry gets better but it just changes to worrying about different things as well, d'oh! My mum keeps telling me that's it now - it never stops for the rest of your life!

Sending hugs and if you need to chat, we're all here :)

@EltzBee @MrsR16 I asked my mum when I was about 9 weeks pregnant when I’d stop worrying so much about the baby. She said I’d never stop worrying about it, this is it for life, the reason for worrying just changes over the years

DH felt the baby move for the first time today, he was a bit freaked out by it 😂

EltzBee · 30/04/2019 14:18

@stormtrooperjulian ah it's so lovely when they feel them move! DH has felt our little Bean 'kick' once, and the other day I freaked him because I could 'feel' where Bean was and told him to have a feel and he felt them move which freaked him out haha.

My little one has been more active today which is nice; I downloaded the 'Kicks Count' app today so I can start to get in the habit of logging the sessions. I think it's a few more weeks yet til they should be in a routine but trying to get myself in the habit now. I haven't quite worked out though if they do some kicking, then go quiet for a quarter hour or half hour, and start again, does that count as another 'session'? As it counts sessions, not individual kicks. For any ladies who might be using it or something similar?

Hope your all well ladies. I'm starting to get a little bump! One step closer to looking pregnant not fat. I got 2 lovely stretchy dresses from topshop in the sale, it was buy one get one free! 12 quid for two dresses. Bargain! One is a little bit big but I'm sure I'll grow into it!

BostonFern · 30/04/2019 18:23

@MrsR16 I've got my fingers crossed for you, hope they have reassured you even a little bit too xx

Thanks @stormtrooperjulian I will look those stretches up. I have arthritic hips, but so far pregnancy seems to have made them less painful- so I'm hoping it'll stay that way!
Thanks too @EltzBee I spend a lot of the day stood at the front of the classroom, so think I'll need to try and swap between standing/sitting and be careful when I'm leaning over desks to look at kids work! Poor you with the nausea and sickness- it must be such a relief to have had a break from it over the last week!

@Delilah7 I hope you're finding things to take your mind off it all a little (easier said than done, I know) xx

@thumper59 How exciting to be starting to get a proper bump. I'm still in the bloated stage, wearing leggings and long tops all the time! What a bargain at Topshop too!

Delilah7 · 30/04/2019 21:18

@BostonFern got health visitor tomorrow which I guess should be nice and then hospital Thursday. Hoping to get answers, I need them to know I just feel unwell. And I know it's down to these levels and it needs to get under control xxx

MrsR16 · 30/04/2019 23:15

@EltzBee @stormtrooperjulian @BostonFern thanks for checking in ladies 😊 I'm feeling much calmer tonight! Been spotting all day, but it's so little I'm not even sure if it's not just my imagination! 😂 it will be fine and this little one will be here before I know it! Xxx

EltzBee · 01/05/2019 06:42

@MrsR16 hope you had a decent night's sleep and that the spotting is disappearing to nothing Hun, good to see you were feeling more positive last night xx

MrsR16 · 01/05/2019 08:46

@EltzBee yeah, thank you, spotting seems to have stopped completely which is good! 6 weeks today! Xx

stormtrooperjulian · 01/05/2019 10:14

So I’m having a boy 💙 all looking good but I have to go back for a rescan after my holiday anyway, he was so active she couldn’t get all the photos she needed

@MrsR16 glad the spotting has stopped! Do you have an early scan booked?

@Delilah7 I hope the health visitor is helpful. You have to keep pushing until you get the help you need, don’t let them brush you off!

@stormtrooperjulian yay another boy! 💙 love shopping and preparing for my little man!
Will be the name picking next hehe.
Yeah fingers crossed. Just excited to go hospital tomorrow and lay the law down 😂

EltzBee · 01/05/2019 11:11

@MrsR16 that's good news :)

@stormtrooperjulian congrats! Our little Bean was naughty at their 20 week scan too, with not letting them get the images they needed, thankfully they managed to see us again another 2 times that day to save us going back again.

MrsR16 · 01/05/2019 13:26

@stormtrooperjulian yay for your little boy!! He's adorable 😊 I haven't got an early scan booked yet - think I'll wait and see what the midwives say when I get to my booking appointment (2 weeks to go!) xx

Cookie0508 · 01/05/2019 15:46

@stormtrooperjulian Yaay #teamboy! Lovely scan! Mine was naughty at our scan too. Had to do lots of walking around and 3 attempts at getting the right pictures!

mrsof20118 · 01/05/2019 19:50

Hope all is OK @MrsR16. I had quite heavy brown spotting for over a week between five and six weeks.

Congrats on your little boy @stormtrooperjulian

MrsR16 · 01/05/2019 19:57

@mrsof20118 seems to have settled down now thankfully! Thanks for thinking of me though! 😘 xx

BostonFern · 01/05/2019 20:22

@stormtrooperjulian congratulations! 💙

@MrsR16 glad to hear things are better today x

Crossfitgirl · 01/05/2019 20:52

@mrsr16 I'm glad you're OK and the spotting has stopped, it's very hard not to worry, I was terrified at every moment ofy first few weeks, even when I just coughed or sneezed I was worried it'd hurt the baby! And the worrying doesn't stop.

I had my first little emergency trip to the maternity Assessment unit last night after not feeling baby move all evening. DH is working away, so I had to go on my own at 10pm at night, the worry had me shaking. Luckily all was fine, heard her little heartbeat and they felt her position and said naughty little madam was laid completely sideways hip to hip so probably why I couldn't feel her kicking!

@stormtrooperjulian aww it's so amazing when they can feel it too! It's so weird but it makes it so real for them too! Congratulations on your little baby boy 💙💙💙
@eltzbee i tried the kick count app and had the same dilemma, also I couldn't always get my phone out during a session and you can't like, backdate them so I gave up on it. I'm just keeping my eye on the time when she's kicking so I get a good idea in my mind of her active times. I find that much better and feel like I have a better grip on her movements. Def getting more of a routine now.
@thumper59 yay for the bump! How many weeks are you?
@chaosmoon how are you getting on? How far on are you now? I can't keep up either!
@delilah7 get em told tomorrow!! Hope you get sorted and get all your answers xx

MrsR16 · 01/05/2019 20:59

@BostonFern thank you, it's so hard to not worry! 😘 xx

@Crossfitgirl ooh that naughty little girl! 😂 at least both you and her are alright! As my mum would say, "Tell her to behave!" 🤣 xxx

thumper59 · 01/05/2019 21:23

@Crossfitgirl how scary I'm glad everything was all ok! They know how to worry us. I'm 13+2 today xx

Delilah7 · 01/05/2019 21:41

@Crossfitgirl naughty little lady! Mine did that too with reduced movements. Scary having to go in! Thanks Hun. Will update you ladies on what they say tomorrow xx

ChaosMoon · 02/05/2019 06:45

I'm so glad everything is ok @Crossfitgirl!

DD is 3 and a half weeks old and has put on 11lb since she was born! She's doing really well although she's going through a growth spurt which means she's not currently a fan of sleep. I'm still in quite a lot of pain downstairs, but apparently it's healing as it should. My dreamgenii is now coming in very handy to sit on though!

I didn't find a kick counter useful as she didn't follow a clock and they type of movements changed. (Lots of little movements one day, fewer but bigger movements the next.) I found it easier to pay attention to what I was doing when she moved. So, she was already active when I went to bed, or first got in the tube for example. That was much more reliable and helped me work out how to get her moving of I didn't think I'd felt her in a while.

Great scan pic @stormtrooperjulian and congratulations on your little boy!

I hope you're feeling ok today @MrsR16.

Love to everyone.

MrsR16 · 02/05/2019 07:05

@ChaosMoon it's great to hear from you! Goodness, your little un sounds as though she's doing fantastically! I'm doing alright, although I woke up this morning and felt positively normal, so of course I started worrying! 🤦‍♀️ xxx

Cookie0508 · 02/05/2019 09:20

Ahh glad everything is ok @Crossfitgirl, must've been a worry xx

@MrsR16 even now I get days when I wake up and forget I'm pregnant! Then I worry why I feel this way. I then get punched in the bladder and assume he's ok! Glad things have settled down xx

@BostonFern I can't remember the technical reasons but it's something to do with endorphins or something flowing around your body that makes moving a bit less painful in places. I hear it eases arthritis too. I'm hypermobile so I've been advised not to overstretch because I can and may not feel it. I just thought it was me being fitter!
