@PinkFizz19 thanks Hun, he's fine.💙

@PeacockingAbout he's just doing my job of attention seeking 😂😂 typical! Xxx

PinkFizz19 · 13/04/2019 08:56

@PeacockingAbout Yeah keep topping DH's glass up if she's not looking. I've done another Clear Blue this morning to check progression..only showing 2-3 weeks so trying not to worry over that now. Thought it would have shown 3+. My DP is like...you've done 3 tests...GP has done 1...you're pregnant 🤣

@Delilah7 💙

ChaosMoon · 13/04/2019 22:48

Happy 20 weeks @EltzBee!

@PeacockingAbout, preferring the atmosphere is a very good reason to choose a hospital. It makes all the difference to your labour.

ChaosMoon · 13/04/2019 22:53

Oh and it's probably too late to be helpful this weekend but I found having cistitis a great excuse for not drinking. You can even say to people - no I don't need antibiotics, just to drink a load of water and spend my time peeing. All questions and assumptions cease because the other party gets embarrassed!

EltzBee · 14/04/2019 08:44

Thanks @ChaosMoon!

So last night DH felt little Bean kick for the first time 😊😊😊 curled up in bed with his hand on my tummy, and little Bean had a wriggle to say hello to both of us! 🤣😊

@EltzBee awwww I love that. Wonderful moment!!

Sooo my mum and dad went mad and brought everything we saw pretty much yesterday 😂 in a few weeks time we will have a cotbed, mattress, dresser, Ewan the sheep, fitted sheets for the cotbed and Chicco next to me. I bought an elephant that sings and plays peekaboo with its ears 😍😍😍😍 I was in my element.

Btw ladies what are your thoughts on bumpers on cots? I didn't ever want one but I've seen a knitted/braided bumper and they're awfully pretty lol.

PinkFizz19 · 14/04/2019 15:27

@ChaosMoon Ohh thanks for that. Good tip to bear in mind.

@EltzBee Aww how magical. What a wonderful moment 😍

@Delilah7 Ohh lucky girl. Sounds like you had a good day. Those Ewan the Sheep are so cute..I got my friend one. They make sounds like the womb and white noise don't they? I'll definately consider one of those.

Can I ask ladies..sorry for the TMI...did any of you have a bit of brown discharge early on? I'm 6 + 4 and just had some brown discharge in my underwear and once when I wiped. No pain except the usual cramping and definately not red blood. Just looks like when you've been caught off guard when you thought your period had ended and then it's not quite 😕 trying not to worry.

ChaosMoon · 14/04/2019 15:44

Sounds like a great day @Delilah7. And how kind of your parents!

I personally wouldn't get bumpers. They've been liked to SIDS and I just wouldn't take the chance.

@PinkFizz19 I had that kind of spotting regularly through the first trimester. It's very common and usually means nothing but check it out with your GP/midwife of you're worried.

EltzBee · 14/04/2019 16:08

@Delilah7 ooh you were very lucky!

Had a good trip to the baby show today; we ordered our pram travel system eeek! 8 to 12 weeks for delivery so should be here in plenty of time. Glad we'd done our research and comparison's before hand the past few weeks though, as we were able to do another compare with everything together and think about the deals etc. Pleased with our decision though and nice not to have to think about prams again 🤣😂

@PinkFizz19 yes! But don't be conned! They have a deluxe that's £10 more for just one other sound. So we just went with the standard one!

@ChaosMoon I know extremely kind considering it's their 5th grandchild, my first however! I did try to say no but mums abit like me 😂 that's what I'm thinking with bumpers. However I'm gonna have a sleepyhead and that doesn't have some certification... I'm just abit confused about all this baby stuff! 😂

@EltzBee massively!! What did you go for?! 😍

EltzBee · 14/04/2019 17:44

@Delilah7 we went for the Cosatto Wow, it was lovely to push and so easy to adjust and fold! We'd shortlisted Cosatto, ICandy Peach and the Egg, and looked at a couple others we'd heard about, but the Cosatto ticked all our boxes. There is so much choice with prams and comes down to personal preference so much! It is coming with the iSize car seat and iso fix base.

Also got a MAM starter bottle set which was cheaper than we'd seen it (got a small set in case baby is fussy!) and a changing mat.

@EltzBee they have such pretty designs 😍😍 we were sold on silver cross Brompton! Aww lovely. So good day then!

MrsC87 · 14/04/2019 18:13

Hey ladies just dropping in 👋🏻
@Delilah7 that's the pram I've bought, in love with it!
Feeling a little overwhelmed at the minute, when I think of all the cleaning and tidying I want to do, finishing off the nursery, doing garden, painting our bedroom as it's filthy, I just don't know how I'm going to fit it all in 🙈🤷‍♀️ xx

Delilah7 · 14/04/2019 18:14

@MrsC87 it's amazing isn't it 😍
Aww just take your time. Do it as and when you feel you can x x

sunshine1987 · 14/04/2019 18:40

@delilah7 that’s not the difference between the deluxe and the normal one, the deluxe is automated so turns on when baby cries rather than when you press the foot on the normal one

Delilah7 · 14/04/2019 18:42

@sunshine1987 ah ok was going off what the lady said to me in the shop! sorry!

mrsof20118 · 14/04/2019 21:30

@PinkFizz19 I had that. It was hit and miss with gp reaction but a female doctor gave me the option to have a blood test 48 hours apart to check my hcg levels were rising for reassurance. X

GemmaJen · 15/04/2019 07:24

@PinkFizz19 I had some at around 5-6w. GP refered me for an early scan as I'd had a previous mc. She referred me to the wrong hospital though who couldn't see me for a while. I ended up getting a private scan as I'm a worrier and couldn't wait. Hb seen and no issues at scan - it made me feel so much better. I appreciate early scans aren't for everybody, but I had quite a few as they helped me stay sane.

EltzBee · 15/04/2019 11:11

What is a 'Ewan the sheep'?! I'm gonna have to google aren't I...

Slept really badly again last night, think I was weirdly anxious because we'd ordered our pram?! Don't know why, we both liked it, it has great reviews, and the reviews for the car seat/base explicitly have people saying they've found it a good fit for their fiat 500 so don't know why I'm getting myself in a stress. Guess just cos it's a big purchase.

Need to get a 2nd car seat for our other car (A class) - will probably go Maxicosi for that car.

In the office today and trying to stay awake!

PinkFizz19 · 15/04/2019 11:17

Thanks ladies @ChaosMoon @mrsof20118 @GemmaJen I went to EPU this morning as i was still worrying and having it. They've scanned me and said they can see the pregnancy but the sac isn't there so my dates are either wrong and I'm earlier than I thought..(we knew we'd probably only be about 4 weeks from using OPKs but they say 6 cos they go off your last period) or my dates are right n it's stopped growing. We're going back next Tuesday to have another scan and keeping everything crossed that it's developed and nothing changes. She said she can only reassure us next week when she can see it progressing xxx

Delilah7 · 15/04/2019 11:23

@EltzBee he's like a comforter I think. But a sheep. 😂 everyone raves about them! So I caved and got one hahaha.
I slept crap too so I understand the office sleepiness today!!

@PinkFizz19 I didn't respond as I didn't have that but I am thinking of you and have my fingers crossed all is ok xxxxx

EltzBee · 15/04/2019 12:22

@Delilah7 ah okay, I couldn't tell if it was a night light thing or something? It's a whole other world isn't.

@PinkFizz19 fingers crossed for you, and I hope it is just that dates are off and things are okay.

OP posts:
Delilah7 · 15/04/2019 12:25

@EltzBee it is but it does sounds etc. I'm not sure I didn't do much research I was just told repeatedly to get it 😂

TrashKitten10 · 15/04/2019 12:58

@PinkFizz19 Poor you feeling so worried. If you think you're quite a bit earlier than your dates then hopefully all is okay, just too early to see anything.

@EltzBee Which Pram fabric design did you go for? So many pretty colours! Can't wait until I'm at that stage :)

EltzBee · 15/04/2019 13:06

@TrashKitten10 we went for Fox Tales, it's so cute :) like a forest scene with little red foxes on it! I'd recommend doing some research and going a few times to look at/try out different prams and compare things, to see what you like :) we started looking at them after our 12 week scan, and I'm glad we were prepared as their is so much to consider (and to get your head around the price of some of them..)

Spookily one of our colleagues has ordered the same one in a different pattern, we hadn't even spoken about prams so quite funny, especially as Cosatto are one of the less common ones than iCandy/Silver Cross/Bugaboo that everyone knows?!

I'm still trying my best to stay awake in the office, so sleepy and having a hungry day too.
