mrsof20118 · 09/04/2019 21:31

@EltzBee think I was around 22 weeks when I felt kicks on the outside so won't be long x

Cookie0508 · 10/04/2019 09:02

Oh my I have missed a bit, well done to you @ChaosMoon!! Just gorgeous!! Hope you're both doing well xxx

Lovely to hear from you @@Fivebyfive2 hope you're doing good too! xx

Cookie0508 · 10/04/2019 09:06

@EltzBee hope your scan goes well! It's such a lovely feeling to see them again xx

My little boy has been so active the past week, finding all sorts of ways to kick me in places. I can see why pregnant ladies need to be close to the toilets now, seems my bladder is his favourite kicking spot!

EltzBee · 10/04/2019 10:43

@Cookie0508 thanks, getting nervous! Will update this afternoon :)

Oh bless you - I'm sure my bladder can't hold as much as before (sorry for TMI!) I seem to have to go to for a wee far more often! lol.

@Crossfitgirl Thank you so much. December is already a very busy birthday month for us so we will certainly have to be organised this year and Christmas will certainly be different 💛

@BostonFern @GemmaJen Aww thank you so much. I'm honoured to be here. Have to keep pinching myself that it's real.

@ChaosMoon Thank you so much and Huge Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful baby girl 😍 wishing you every happiness for the future xxx

EltzBee · 11/04/2019 11:14

Hi ladies, 20 week scan yesterday and all good, baby healthy! Took ages we were there for nearly 4 hours and had to have 3 separate ultrasound with 2 different people as baby didn't want to behave and kept hiding their heart with their little arm! But all good, eventually a walk Snickers bar and cola seemed to encourage them to move!

Both people we saw yesterday said they think little Bean is a girl, which is sane as we were told at our private 16 week scan too. So we're still team pink! Still in shock that they're a little girl 😊😯🥰

Picture from yesterday including one of the little hand which is amazing can see there fingers and everything! Little bit different but thought it was very cool.

20 weeks tomorrow so half way mark eeek!

Thank you so much ladies! Her name is Mabli and, apart from the inevitable challenges of breast feeding, which can be stressful for both of us, she's a contented little thing. And I think we're getting there with the feeding. Hopefully...

Labour was... Intense. It all went really quickly for a first. I was already 5cm dilated when we got to the hospital, so I got straight in the pool and she was born 3 hours later.

The thing that has most knocked me for 6 is how much pain I'm in with my legs, back and arms. But then I was basically holding a cross positioning somewhere between a squat and all fours for hours. Next time, I'm doing more squats and pushups while I'm pregnant, because at the moment I'm in too much pain to lift her properly and that's a bit heart breaking at times.

I hope you're all doing ok. Sorry for not reading everyone's updates properly. Xx

ChaosMoon · 11/04/2019 14:19

Just saw your scan pics @EltzBee. I'm so glad everything went well.

Delilah7 · 11/04/2019 14:26

@EltzBee so glad scan went well! We had to wait ages too as little man was awkward!! Xx

@ChaosMoon what a beautiful name 😍 oh gosh, making me worry as I done hardly any exercise before pregnancy and defo not any now haha! Xx

Been in hospital today due to reduced movements. A little scary but he is ok. 27 weeks tomorrow! Does this mean third trimester??? Xx

PeacockingAbout · 12/04/2019 08:38

Morning ladies, happy Friday! I've dropped off a bit, busy work and not being able to string a sentence together post 6pm have had an impact.

@ChaosMoon massive massive congratulations, Mabli is beautiful, fab name! Glad to hear she's settling in well. Noted about labour and squats. Hope your limbs feel better soon!

@PinkFizz19 welcome cycle buddy! Hope you're doing well :)

@Delilah07 how scary, glad little man is ok - how are you? i hope the nausea has stayed abated.

@Eltzbe oh how lovely, glad she's all well in
there. Halfway must be a nice marker

Thank you ladies for the reassurance that time will eventually resume moving! This has been the longest 2 weeks of my life so far.

I've finally chosen my hospital and referred myself, bit nervous that its 40 mins away (vs the perfectly good one 25 mins away) but I just like the atmosphere better and I doubt 15 mins will make too much difference.

Got my booking in appt for the 30th April, and my scan date for 24th May - day before the bank holiday which is nice

I'll feel better when someone has checked there is something in there, I'm 6+1 now and still don't really feel pregnant.

Has anyone got any nice weekend plans? I'm off to Dublin with DH to see a friend (and am going to have to lie so hard, so fast to avoid the prosecco! She's probably bought some in specially)

Delilah7 · 12/04/2019 09:05

@PeacockingAbout thanks Hun! Yeah lots of people go as it's just so scary when they're so active and then not! But he was fine. Little toe rag! Nausea and sickness has gone so I'm thinking it was a bug instead... regarding weekend plans I'm off cot and dresser shopping 😍😍 have a nice one lovely x

EltzBee · 12/04/2019 09:44

Morning all! Half way today - 20 weeks! Eeek!

We're off to the South East Baby Show on Sunday - looking forward to it, mostly as a research gathering with lots of brands in one place.

@ChaosMoon ah lovely name! Good tip on the squats and things - will have to start trying to do more things now I'm not feeling so tired all the time!

@Delilah7 they can be such rascals can't they! Glad your little one is okay, better to check these things! Are you getting quite regular movement now? Glad you're feeling better, hopefully it was just a bug rather than anything coming back! I was sick again Wednesday morning, but it very much is only maybe every couple days now, rather than every day and at any time which is a relief.

@PeacockingAbout it really is, although the penny is dropping that in 4 months we'll be awaiting baby imminently! Somehow 4 months suddenly doesn't sound so long, lol! I think 'full term' is anywhere between 37 and 42 weeks so quite a window that they can arrive in. Our due date is 4 days before DH's birthday so could be funny if they come a few days late.
Have a good time with your friend; can you just say you've had an infection and having to take antibiotics you can't drink with?

Most people are surprisingly oblivious...we didn't 'announce' til we were 17.5 weeks as I kept chickening out, and it was a shock to 99% of people still - despite my constant sickness for the 3 whole months beforehand.

Delilah7 · 12/04/2019 09:48

@EltzBee He's been so active for a long time! He's finally moved last night for the first time in a couple of days and then I've felt him this morning.
It's just so exhausting! Can't wait to meet him and just get rid of all these horrible symptoms 😂

EltzBee · 12/04/2019 10:03

@Delilah7 aww, obviously was having a bit of a rest then the past couple days! I feel little Bean every now and again but not regular yet, really looking forward to proper kicks and things!!
Definitely - I know people who say they loved being pregnant but I can only assume they didn't have the crippling exhaustion and constant nausea and vomiting for months on end! I keep telling DH that this is Beans ploy to increase their chances of being an only child - they're doing well so far!!!

OP posts:
Delilah7 · 12/04/2019 10:14

@EltzBee it's lovely when they're regular but just more worry lol. Ethan will be an only child ( he won't be spoilt though ) but I just can't go through this again. Never thought it would be like this! Xx

RanchoRelaxo · 12/04/2019 12:25

Congratulations @ChaosMoon she is beautiful, hope you are both doing well :)

Lovely scan pics @EltzBee, so exciting!

I have got my first growth scan next week, looking forward to seeing her again :)

BostonFern · 12/04/2019 15:37

@PeacockingAbout I know what you mean-I'm 6+4 and I'm nervous for my early scan next week-I just want to know there's something growing healthily in there.

PinkFizz19 · 12/04/2019 18:48

Thanks @PeacockingAbout hope you have a lovely weekend in Dublin. I've got plans Easter weekend which I'm already trying to prepare for not drinking wise. 1 friend knows but no-one else does so she is going to be my wing woman 😊 Glad it's not just me not feeling pregnant. I keep saying to DP I want more symptoms then I can believe it's real. He says I'll regret it further down the line though. Lol. I've got my first midwife appointment on 26th April so hoping I'll get my 12 week scan date then. Going to book in an early scan the week of or after my midwife appt so I'll be approx 8 weeks.

@BostonFern Aww I feel exactly the same. Can't wait to hear how your scan goes. I hope all goes well and you feel better afterwards. I think I'll definately cry as it'll probably hit me then seeing little bean 💛

Hope everyone else is doing well. Happy Friday!!

Glad baby is all ok after his rest @Delilah7.

Beautiful name @ChaosMoon I've never heard of that before 💝

PeacockingAbout · 12/04/2019 19:02

@Delilah7 I bet it is scary! Glad you're both ok - he's just checking you're paying attention Wink Oooh love a bit of furniture shopping, enjoy!! Sorry you're having a rough time of it xx

@Eltzbe oooh the South East Baby Show sounds fun. 4 months - its not that long to wait! so exciting! Aw, your DH may share his birthday! My cousin's son was born on his birthday too, which is super cute :) I'm anticipating many shared parties.

I'm definitely not going to get away with the antibiotics one sadly, she's a pharmacist! I think she'll catch on, but she's not likely to say anything. Hoping she's totally oblivious.

@RanchoRelaxo good luck for your scan

@BostonFern it is just strange! I've not done any tests since my BFP on a CB digi and it seems mad that no one checks! Good luck for your scan next week!

@PinkFizz19 a wing woman is key! I might just get DH very drunk on my prosecco in an attempt to hide it.

That is exactly what DH is telling me - I'm saying 'but I don't feel pregnant' and he's like 'you will soon!'
