@Crossfitgirl wahey! Look at that photo! How amazing of her hugging too so cute even if it is with a placenta! Looks very content xx

LuckyKitty13 · 24/02/2019 20:17

@FlapJackered that's such a great way of thinking of it - your comment has really been such a help to me! Thank you so much!

mrsof20118 · 24/02/2019 20:18

@flapjackered I had spotting around 4 to 5 weeks and a smidge of brown around week 8 x

CookieWaffle · 24/02/2019 21:57

@Crossfitgirl yay team girl! xx

17 weeks tomorrow. I've had some really sore and uncomfortable cramping today. I hope everything's ok in there :(

Crossfitgirl · 24/02/2019 22:00

Thank you @mrsc87 @sunshine1987 @delilah7 @angelomysterioso @luckykitty13 @eltzbee

@fivexfive thank you - already talked names hehe! We like Olivia and Jessica 😍

@mrslbear thank you, I am seriously going to have to avoid looking at girls clothes too soon, as I'll end up buying far too much cute stuff by August!!

@canonlyhopexo nice to see you back, the baby brain is real, even without HG my head is struggling so no idea how you're coping! Glad you're back at work, hope you're feeling a bit better? Think we will also end up waiting until after the next scan before getting big stuff, but mainly as we're so busy at the moment, it seems so much effort to get organised! I think it's totally overwhelming, so yeah waiting is the way forward.

@flapjackered thank you, it STILL doesn't feel real, I still can't quite believe it even now. Maybe when I feel her move I'll feel the connection? Maybe when she comes! She!
Working from home must be a huge help, do you mind me asking what you do? Just wondering if you get much phone or email human contact, for distraction, or colleague support? You are right in being cautious getting your hopes up, I'm no help, I literally could not be more hopeful for you right now, I'm clinging to every last straw for you - I think we all are, but I guess our sensible heads make us prepare for the worst in these situations to protect us from hurting more.

I think a few people have had spotting on here, and for varying amounts of time. I had a tiny bit, it was like a very light rusty brown colour but only lasted about 1-2 toilet trips one morning then went away. Midwives weren't worried at the time, I think I was about 7 weeks x

Crossfitgirl · 24/02/2019 22:06

@mrsof20118 aww hehe thank you! I know, I loved that particular pic and we chose it to print as she looks so cosy there all cuddled up!

@cookiewaffle I had the exact same worries yesterday and today, I've had some pains and cramping and stretching feelings, I couldn't get comfy last night cos of it. I think its just growth and its normal. My bump has appeared to get massive quite suddenly these last 2 days and I've now got the start of stretch marks that appeared yesterday. Have you had a growth spurt? Xxx

canonlyhopexo · 24/02/2019 22:16

@Crossfitgirl thank you! I'm feeling much better than I was feeling but do find the more I do the worse I feel. I'm so tired all the time too - more so than my first trimester! I bet you are sooo excited to buy lots of pretty clothes! It's so tempting to find out.

@CookieWaffle I've had cramping and tightenings and found getting comfortable quite tricky. I would imagine that's all perfectly normal. We're almost half way!! Room is probably getting a bit more snug in there! Xx

CookieWaffle · 24/02/2019 22:17

@Crossfitgirl I was worried I wasn't growing but it's definitely grown in the past week or so! I've had lots of weird aches but this is like proper period pains again. Google seems to think it's normal too so I just gotta hang on. I keep reminding myself that it was only a couple of days ago since I heard the heartbeat. I've been watching too many tv shows recently where they just happened to have lots of birth/pregnancy problems on, typical!

CookieWaffle · 24/02/2019 22:25

Thanks @canonlyhopexo yeah it's not the most comfortable! xx

ChaosMoon · 25/02/2019 09:26

20 minutes of typing a reply and the bloody page reloaded! 😫 Ok, here I go again.

@crossfitgirl woo hoo! She's a cute little alien. ☺️ And those are beautiful names.

@Luckykitty13 I hope you had success with your social calendar. My mat leave plan is swimming and batch cooking. I need to get fit enough to birth a baby! We'll see how that goes though...

@Delilah7 speak to your midwife of you're worried about movements. I definitely had more active days and quieter days in the second trimester though so I'm sure it's fine. And don't worry about the meds.

@canonlyhopexo, I hope you're enjoying being back at work, even if it is exhausting.

@FlapJackered I had loads of brown spotting throughout the first trimester. I don't think it means anything by itself.

@CookieWaffle how are you feeling now? I had a couple of days of truly horrendous cramping, that turned out to be constipation. 🤦 I had no idea it could be that bad! Again, speak to a midwife of your worried lovely, but stay away from birth shows! They're so horribly sensationalist.

Sorry to everyone I've missed. Going to sleep at my desk now...

Delilah7 · 25/02/2019 09:28

Just fell up the stairs too. 😔 can tell I'm stressing subconsciously about the scan tomorrow. Xx

FlapJackered · 25/02/2019 09:56

I don't know if it helps you ladies who are worrying and further along but the chances of something going wrong is so low once you get past the first trimester.
datayze.com/miscarriage-chart.php

Thanks @ChaosMoon that is really reassuring, although just went to the loo and it's now turned to a more pinky brown. Still only a tiny bit, but I can't helping thinking it's not a good sign. 😕

@Crossfitgirl I do cgi stuff so not much human contact unfortunately but I do live in a city and have lots of lovely neighbours so am not a complete hermit.
I am just reading into everything at the moment. I am not keen on all this spotting! They did say I might have spotting on and off for a week or so after the operation and also I have read internal ultrasounds can induce spotting but then the other side of me is saying it's definitely the start of a miscarriage 🙈
What is your due date again? Have you bought anything for her yet?

@CookieWaffle same with me with the tv shows! Literally everything I have watched seem to have babies dying in. 🙈 the day before my scan last week we decided to watch Roma on Netflix having no idea what it was about. A terrible choice!!!
If anyone hasn't seen it don't watch it before the birth!!

EltzBee · 25/02/2019 11:33

Morning ladies. Well made it to the office today, first time in a month. Was only sick once this morning but struggled to get our the door. Was an hour late but made it. Train ride was awful, standing room only for the 20 minutes. Kept my eyes shut and tried to focus on breathing as was feeling so sick! Miracle I wasn't.

Now to get through the next 6 hours without falling asleep. I've already got stupidly emotional in a meeting! I was crying in bed last night cos I finished my magazine and my next one was downstairs. Hormones! Make us crazy eh...

thumper59 · 25/02/2019 12:09

Morning ladies. I was on the last couple of ttc threads. Got my bfp on Saturday at 9DPO and have done about a hundred tests since 😂 I know it's extremely early days so I am in a state of worry every day at the moment but it's still so exciting!

sunshine1987 · 25/02/2019 13:31

Congratulations @thumper59, welcome 😊

MrsC87 · 25/02/2019 18:04

Congratulations @thumper59 welcome aboard 💕
Can I ask a tmi question? Is anyone having an increase in cervical mucus/discharge? Some days it's like I've wet myself and others not? Am I the only one? 20 weeks tomo so will ask midwife at my scan on Thurs just to check x

canonlyhopexo · 25/02/2019 18:23

@ChaosMoon thanks hun it's nice to be interacting with other humans even though I try not to fall asleep at my desk!

Welcome @thumper59 xx

canonlyhopexo · 25/02/2019 18:24

@EltzBee well done that is a massive achievement! Hope you are ready for a nice early night and a rest this evening! X

@MrsC87 yeah I have noticed this last few days. I'm 16+3 x

mrsof20118 · 25/02/2019 18:26

@thumper59 welcome!

@MrsC87 yes sometimes it makes me feel like I've peed a little and I know I haven't! X

stormtrooperjulian · 25/02/2019 18:38

@canonlyhopexo it’s the interacting with other humans bit that I’m struggling with.... the guy I sit next to constantly cracks his knuckles, never used to bother me, but now I want to punch him every time!

@thumper59 congratulations!

@EltzBee I hope your day in the office went well

I had my booking appointment today. 9+5 now and I’ve been dizzy and exhausted for weeks, will I start to feel better soon? I really hope so. At least I’m not nauseous (unless I get hungry) or being sick, so I guess I should be grateful for that!

sunshine1987 · 25/02/2019 19:10

@mrsc87 nope I’m exactly the same and have been for a while off and on (17 weeks at the moment) xx

EltzBee · 25/02/2019 19:52

@MrsC87 I'm the same, the past few days I've noticed more too. I think it's quite normal!

@stormtrooperjulian @canonlyhopexo I made it through the day! Just had dinner and now feet up on the sofa, early night as I'm so tired though! Working from home next couple days. Officially put it in writing myself to my boss today as well.

Oh and popped to Mothercare at lunch time. Omg there are so many different prams :o it is like a whole other language to learn for baby stuff!

Hope you've all had a good Monday and congrats @thumper

Delilah7 · 25/02/2019 20:12

@MrsC87 I'm having more discharge Hun. Certainly feel some days like I've wet myself haha. Xx

Well after worrying about movements and falling up the stairs this morning, baby's given me the best gift. First proper kick at 20 weeks 3 days. 😍❤️ on video too!

ChaosMoon · 25/02/2019 20:33

Ah, @MrsC87 if I'm honest, I've had to try not to laugh every time anyone has mentioned increased cm in the first trimester. Not because I'm trying to belittle it, but because if I stand up naked it's like a blinking waterfall down there. I'm afraid it only gets more extreme. As long as it doesn't start to smell or go a funny colour, you're all good.

@FlapJackered this must all be so stressful. I'm so sorry you're going through all this. I'm so glad you warned us about Roma. I'd just put it on my watch list.

We'll done for making it in, and getting through the day @EltzBee.

I thought that might be the case @canonlyhopexo. I'd go crazy if I couldn't get out, regardless of how I'll or tired I was.

Congrats and welcome @thumper59!

That's great news @Delilah7.

I had my 34wk checkup today. It never gets old listening to the heart beat! Was exhausting going from there into work though. Especially as I then had to go into a full day of meetings. Bed now.

EltzBee · 25/02/2019 20:36

@Delilah7 ah wonderful! 😊 From what I've ready movement settled into more of a pattern after the mid 20s weeks but that everyone is different of course! I can't wait to feel our Bean!
