That really sucks @LuckyKitty13.bi think the come down of finishing work could definitely do that, particularly if all the exciting baby jobs are essentially done and you're at a loose end. I guess it's all a bit anticlimactic just at the point when it felt like things were getting more exciting. What you doing with your days now?

Oh look. As usual @Crossfitgirl has managed to say what I wanted to say, far more eloquently than me! ☺️

LuckyKitty13 · 24/02/2019 08:54

Thanks ladies - I think you're right, it's a total lack of purpose that I've literally never had in my life before. Although I suppose I need to reframe it. My purpose is to rest so my body is ready and fit to birth my baby. I've done some knitting and walked to the shops a few times, then mainly watching box sets of Netflix (currently miss fishers murder mysteries). I also will scrub the kitchen floor and cupboards at some point! I'm off to church this morning so will try and get some invites to socialise more too!

sunshine1987 · 24/02/2019 09:04

@luckykitty13, @crossfitgirl put it all more perfectly then I could, I can imagine the waiting bit must be a horrible limbo stage too. You’ve ramped up the whole 9 months for this point and it’s a bit like “no what?” before it all kicks off. Try and enjoy it though, the last bit of just you time 💜

Crossfitgirl · 24/02/2019 09:09

Aww good luck @luckykitty13, just enjoy it! when is your due date? Will you put up a pic of your little bubba when he/she is born?

Soooo

So far you guys are guessing 4-2 to team boy. DH is guessing boy so I've said I'll guess girl, so now it's 5-3 to team boy.

Although, my gut feeling is that it will be a boy, I don't know why!

We shall see!

Scan is at 11. Hope little bean doesn't have their legs crossed!!

MrsC87 · 24/02/2019 09:15

@Crossfitgirl I'm guessing girl 💗 bet you're so excited!!

@ChaosMoon thanks lovely x x

@Crossfitgirl I know it's pure madness!! I'm abit concerned though as I've been on my hyperemesis tablets most of my pregnancy. I know there's like hardly any chance anything will be wrong because of that. But I haven't felt much flutters in the last couple of days and I'm just super nervous 😔 xx

sunshine1987 · 24/02/2019 09:40

@ranchorelaxo which pram did you end up going for? We went shopping yesterday and have narrowed it down to two, but going to the baby show next weekend so going to wait and choose then. Hopefully they’ll be discounted too, though I have a 20% off Mothercare voucher too that I’ve somehow wangled xx

EltzBee · 24/02/2019 11:29

@Crossfitgirl hope it's gone okay this morning!

@sunshine1987 how did you decide on your shortlist? We need to start thinking about it too, I'm hoping we can narrow things down before or holiday at Easter and then when we get back we can start looking for a decent deal and buying things. Eek!

sunshine1987 · 24/02/2019 11:59

@eltzbee we’ve got two dogs so I know we needed all terrain so I made a list of all terrain prams and went on madeformums and looked at all the reviews. Then watched YouTube comparison videos lol. Then had 4 and went to town yesterday and had a look at them and whittled that down to 2, the uppababy vista and bugaboo fox. So just a case of us working out if we want a pram with the option to convert to two or not xx

LuckyKitty13 · 24/02/2019 12:08

@Crossfitgirl 19th March is my due date. I'll try and get a photo on if I can yes! Hope your scan has gone okay!
I had a gut feeling the baby was a girl from the start, and that's what the scan showed! Mothers instinct can be correct!

Crossfitgirl · 24/02/2019 13:21

So... its a Girl!! 💗❤️💗❤️💗❤️💗
😊😊😊😊

Hehe well guessed @chaosmoon @cookiewaffle @mrsc87! commiserations @sunshine1987 @ranchorelaxo @fivexfive @mrsof20118 😘

Here is our freaky little alien daughter, snuggling up to my placenta, with the cord dangling over her face!

Delilah7 · 24/02/2019 14:12

@Crossfitgirl congrats lovely!!! Xx

AngeloMysterioso · 24/02/2019 15:33

Congratulations @Crossfitgirl so exciting!!

We’re having Sunday lunch at PILs and FIL automatically gave me a glass of wine with my food... I’ve had a few tiny sips of it but my DH is taking one for the team and having a swig every time they aren’t looking Grin

MrsLBear · 24/02/2019 17:47

Awww congrats to you!!!!!! 💗💗💗💗
Girls clothes are just to die for. I saw the cutest little swimsuit in the white company the other day. It had little strawberries on and a frilly waist.
Have fun shopping!!

MrsLBear · 24/02/2019 17:47

Sorry forgot to tag you below! @Crossfitgirl

LuckyKitty13 · 24/02/2019 18:17

Congratulations!

EltzBee · 24/02/2019 18:42

@Crossfitgirl exciting! Glad it went well :)

canonlyhopexo · 24/02/2019 19:26

Hi ladies

I'm so rubbish at keeping up with the thread - I can just about catch up with reading the messages and then I get a bit lost and confused lol! I think I've already got a serious case of baby brain 🤦🏽‍♀️ I've not long been back at work for a few hours after terrible hyperemisis so I'm feeling pretty knackered.

It sounds like some of you are getting yourselves really organised now! I'm 16+2 and we've made a list of what we think we need. Aside from a baby record book we've not bought anything yet as we are waiting until after the 20 week scan. How exciting some of you know gender as well! We're having a suprise and waiting until we meet our little one to find out.

I really admire the strength of those who have not had positive news yet still come back to let us know and check in with us. You will all be blessed with those rainbows before you know it and I can't wait to see some announcements from you all xxxx

FlapJackered · 24/02/2019 19:26

@Crossfitgirl congratulations!! That is so exciting you will have a little mini-you! I bet it feels really real now you can call her a 'her' now! So exciting!
I work from home which is good. Finding it very hard to concentrate on anything at the moment. Also suddenly got a really bad constant headache for some reason which isn't a fun addition! Feeling a bit better about it all now, although slightly worried my hope is up a bit.

@EltzBee I ovulate really late so if then went from my period I would be coming up to 8 weeks which is definitely not right as I ovulated over a week later than the normal. It's so difficult! I am trying not to google too much and not think about it now but easier said than done!
Well prepared on the air conditioning!!

@FivexFive So glad you're feeling better. I know what you mean about the not knowing causing more stress. When I was told it was definitely not developing I was so sad but I came to terms with it and felt ok. Now there is a small chance I have fallen apart a bit again trying not to hope too much.
Lucky DH! It's good to get stuck into a project. I think that's my plan of action for the next few weeks!

@LuckyKitty13 It's so sooooon! As CrossFit says I would try not to put too much pressure on yourself to feel a certain way and try to use the time to focus on you.

@Delilah7 Try not to worry lovely, they wouldn't put you on the medication if they thought it would cause problems. Xx

Delilah7 · 24/02/2019 19:28

@FlapJackered trying not to Hun xxxx

FlapJackered · 24/02/2019 19:29

Did anyone have any spotting of any sort? I have had a tiny bit of brown spotting when I wipe, not enough to even bother with a pad. I am just so worried about every symptom at the moment and it may just be from my internal scan as it did hurt a bit when she was wiggling the wand jobby around in my hooha!

sunshine1987 · 24/02/2019 20:00

@flapjackered sorry I haven’t but I do know that not all bleeding is a worry and brown blood is old which is less of a worry than red. I hate you’re going through all of this x
