@Bettythecat absolutely gutted to hear this. I am so sorry darling. I'm actually shocked so many of you are experiencing this at the moment. I hope this pass naturally quickly for you so you can get moving forward. Drink all the wine you need. Sending all my love xxxx

SullyWifey · 21/02/2019 07:24

@sunshine1987 I had my midwife appointment too yesterday! It was first time hearing heartbeat for me so was pretty awesome. Defo cried! Sad DH wasn't there either and I didn't even think to record it!! That was first thing he said when I told him which made me feel bad!

I also felt my first actually movement last night 💖 all week Iv been having feelings that where making me think. But this was a definite movement it actually made me physically jump. Was incredible. I couldn't stop giggling though as was way weirder than I ever though! Plus so much earlier than I thought. Felt it once more during the night and now nothing...just want to feel it again haha.

I feel so blessed and so incredibly lucky to have got this far every single day, just hope you ladies know I'm not taking any minute for granted xxx

Delilah7 · 21/02/2019 07:29

@Bettythecat thinking of you ❤️❤️

sunshine1987 · 21/02/2019 07:31

@sullywifey ahhhh I’m so jealous you can feel movements already 😫💜 my dodgy placenta is annoying me! Are you finding out what you’re having? I find it’s going so quickly at the moment, we’ll be 17 weeks on Sunday! How did that happen xx

SullyWifey · 21/02/2019 07:39

@sunshine1987 ooohh man I want you to feel it too 😩 but you will feel it soon I'm sure!! Did they give you an idea when? I can't believe how early I felt it, but it was undoubtably movement that's for sure.

No idea how we are 17 weeks Sunday. Nearly half way!!!

PS: Can you elaborate on your placenta situation?? What going on with that x

SullyWifey · 21/02/2019 07:40

@sunshine1987 sorry still half asleep didn't answer your question!!

No we not finding out. Team yellow just like you! God help us haha I think it will get hard not knowing! But super exciting!

My heart beat sounded like a horse 🐴 I soooo want a girl 💖💖 not that I care, but if I had a choice haha x

sunshine1987 · 21/02/2019 10:10

@sullywifey they said around 20 weeks I should. I’m being dramatic calling it dodgy lol, but I’ve got an anterior placement which means baby implanted at the front so my placenta is growing there. So makes hearing baby’s heartbeat/feeling movement difficult as I’ve got a “buffer” there. It can move slightly up or down (don’t want it to go down as this can mean complications during birth etc) but will always stay at the front. Haha I secretly want a girl too, but happy either way xx

EltzBee · 21/02/2019 10:40

@Bettythecat ah hun I am so sorry to hear that. Please look after yourself, and take the time you need.

EltzBee · 21/02/2019 10:44

@sunshine1987 how did you find out that your placenta was in the front position? I don't think they mentioned anything about it at my scan, I remember them changing the position of the scan thingy and showing me it and thinking it's quite big!

I'm finding out because our chance of it being a boy is so high, and I've kinda resigned myself to never having a girl. I don't mind what it is so long as it's healthy! I know some people who found out said it was easier because they also were able to buy some nice things and got given gifts that weren't just white/yellow. It's a surprise whether it's at 20 weeks or at 40 weeks still :) DH is a twin boy, his brother has 3 boys, and their father is one of 4 boys. So boy sperm seem to dominate his side!

sunshine1987 · 21/02/2019 10:52

@eltzbee they told me at my 12 week scan, but apparently they normally tell you at 20 week scan when I started looking into it. Ah no I understand why you are, I just know it’ll help me push not knowing. Plus my friend had been told she was having a girl and ended up having a boy lol, so I personally couldn’t trust it anyway xx

EltzBee · 21/02/2019 11:00

@sunshine1987 ah okay! I only just checked my blue notes and realised they had put a one page 'report' in from our u/s, doesn't really say much other than the size of it and that it's there, and what it's nt measurement was and things.

Hah fair enough! I'm hoping that by having the 16 week private gender scan, and then finding out again at the 20 week scan, fingers crossed it should 'confirm' it then :) :) of course if they give two different answers, who knows!! lol.

sunshine1987 · 21/02/2019 11:06

@eltzbee yeah in my report it says about my anterior placenta as that’s where my midwife picked it up from yesterday so would assume normal unless says something there? Haha imagine the confusion if they say different lol 🙈 fingers crossed they both say the same. When’s your 16 week scan? xx

MrsC87 · 21/02/2019 11:22

@EltzBee @sunshine1987 I think if it's a boy like me it's very clear a willy is there - see mine at 17w 💙
I totally understand people going team yellow though, I'm just too much of an organiser lol x

@mrsc87 @eltzbee yeah a part of me would love to find out, but then it would be purely so I would spend money lol 🙈

EltzBee · 21/02/2019 12:06

@sunshine1987 we need to get it booked in, we're 13 weeks tomorrow so should probably get that sorted! lol.

@MrsC87 I'm useless with scan pics! How do they know where it's little boy bits are in the pic? I'm sure it's obvious if you know what to look for lol.

I've been looking at our 12wk scan pic and looking at it's head and thinking it's head looks like a boys eyebrows but I'm basing that on absolutely zilch!

CookieWaffle · 21/02/2019 12:09

Ahh @Bettythecat my heart goes out to you. Look after yourself and take some time out for yourself xxx

I had my 16 week appointment today. Got to hear the heartbeat which was just amazing, til baby decided it had enough and kicked the doppler out of the way! All sounding healthy and i think it's gonna be a kick boxer Grin

I'm hoping we get to find out at our 20 week but I've told friends and family to keep things gender neutral as much as possible!

MrsC87 · 21/02/2019 12:10

Hoping the below helps lol @EltzBee

@MrsC87 gotcha!!!! Now you show it yep, that is definitely a little willy! So obvious now I understand the picture. I don't think I've seen little baby scans from that angle before lol.

@CookieWaffle oh wow it kicked the doppler out the way at 16 weeks?! Blimey! Are you feeling the bubba quite a bit already? I can't wait to start feeling our little bean.

MrsC87 · 21/02/2019 12:20

Aww that's lovely @CookieWaffle 💕
Yes they are hard to work out, google potty shots and you should get a girl comparison @EltzBee xx

OP posts:
EltzBee · 21/02/2019 12:24

@MrsC87 ahh the girly ones are flat!

Excited now to get ours booked!

There is a local place near us in town an independent place that does gender scans, or there is 'Babybond'. Has anyone had any experience with them?

CookieWaffle · 21/02/2019 12:24

@EltzBee I can't tell at the moment if it's moving or it's wind! I think I've felt some things but not sure. I'm certainly feeling fat anyway haha :)

sunshine1987 · 21/02/2019 13:21

@eltzbee we had our 8 week scan at baby bond and they were great x
