@FlapJackered I definitely had stretching pain around 5w. I opted for a private scan at 6w as I had some spotting the week prior. Our local NHS unit wouldn't scan until 7w. The scan put my mind at rest and it was determined that the spotting was just implantation. Hopefully similar for you and nothing to worry about X

ChaosMoon · 12/02/2019 15:45

Sending you hugs @FlapJackered. I had the same at just over 5 weeks. Mine was quite definite red blood though. Between that and the stitch you describe, I was in boots, but it was all fine. The scan couldn't see anything, so I had two blood tests, two days apart to check my HCG was rising and then a scan at 7 weeks to check it was still growing ok, which if course it was.

I had spotting (mostly brown) and cramping throughout the first trimester, but it never amounted to anything.

You're doing the right thing taking to your GP. I hope they come back to you soon. 💐

FlapJackered · 12/02/2019 17:50

Just spoke to the doctor and she is concerned that it might be an ectopic so I am going for a scan at the epu tomorrow. Trying really hard not to worry. The pink cm seems to have gone though so I hope that is a good sign. 😢

FlapJackered · 12/02/2019 17:58

Thanks @ChaosMoon that is reassuring to know. Hopefully it's all ok. I am glad I am getting the scan tomorrow, at least I will know either way. X

EltzBee · 12/02/2019 18:14

@FlapJackered ah bless you, fingers crossed it is okay but at least you'll be able to find out tomorrow. Glad the GP is taking it seriously - it is better to err on the side of caution just in case. Look after yourself this evening. 🌻

FivexFive · 12/02/2019 18:31

@flapjackered, keeping everything crossed for you sweet xx Glad they're acting quickly and not messing you about. Take care tonight, try and rest if you can xx

I got 2 lots of news today...

My 1st scan is on 15th March (seems ages away!!) It is at the hospital and a full bladder is required. That is also when my exam results should be out!

Also, my company are in the process of getting a new premises for next year. Not sure how to feel about it. It is accessible by public transport which is a plus, but at the moment I walk to work!! The move will happen while I'm on leave (all being well) So basically when I go back I'll be seeing if it still works out, with travel time and costs etc. Not to mention the new dynamics, especially if the move causes people to leave / new people to join. If it does work out, fab. If not, I'll have to look for a new job with a young child to factor in... Great!!

Saying that, I know this is waaaayyy ahead. Should probably just get to my scan date first!!

@delilah7, so glad you're feeling better and are back with us!! I can't believe you're almost half way!! Xx

ChaosMoon · 12/02/2019 19:04

Good luck for tomorrow @FlapJackered. I'm glad they're seeing you so quickly.

@Delilah7, that's great that you're feeling better. How are things with your OH now? I hope that's going better too.

The 15th is going to be an intense day @FivexFive! That's a bugger about your office move. A year is a long time though and even if they stayed where they were, a lot is likely to change. I hope it works out ok, whatever you decide after your mat leave.

Started arranging leaving drinks in work today. Cannot believe this is happening already!

RanchoRelaxo · 12/02/2019 19:08

Oh @FlapJackered how scary, I will keep my fingers crossed for you tomorrow, I totally understand the feeling of dread though, if it helps, when I had my MC, it was a lot of bright red blood and clots which came on quite quickly after seeing some on the toilet roll when I wiped, so I would say light pink spotting which isn't consistent is more positive 💚 xx

sunshine1987 · 12/02/2019 20:07

@flapjackered hope you’re ok and not worrying too much, glad you’re getting seen tomorrow to help put your mind at ease xx

Delilah7 · 12/02/2019 20:24

@FlapJackered thinking you Hun, keep strong ❤️

@FivexFive my company has been invested in by another company and so many changes before I go on maternity. I have a whole new role!! 😂 I know it seems insane!!! Gone quick the first trimester did due to being so bloody unwell haha xx

@ChaosMoon thanks Hun! Back to normal. He was just as stressed as me and had a lot to deal with in a short space of time so he was just abit drained like me xxx

mrsof20118 · 12/02/2019 22:04

Hi all, been busy with work and got locked out of my account on here. Hope you are all doing well.

@FlapJackered try not to worry about spotting. Easier said than done. I also remember a lot of cramps in the night around the 5/6 week time.

@FivexFive do work know you are pregnant? If there are changes going on it may be worth notifying HR as early as possible as it gives you an extra level of protection.

MrsC87 · 13/02/2019 07:13

I'm 18+1 @Delilah7 it's going fast now!

Good luck today @FlapJackered really hope everything goes well. Please keep us updated 💗 xx

@MrsC87 ridiculously fast!! Xx

FivexFive · 13/02/2019 07:45

@mrsof20118, yeah they already know. We're a small office of 10 so everyone knows everything!! I was starting to feel like I should have tried keeping it more secret until 12 weeks, but now this has come out I'm glad they know!! To be honest it won't affect me too much, will just mean the return to work will take more adjusting. But that's so far down the road I can't really get my head around it anyway! Xx

canonlyhopexo · 13/02/2019 08:35

Morning ladies! Thread has been busy and I've just tried to have a quick catch up while eating my biscuit in bed so I don't vom!

The lady who was saying about spotting and cramping, I know it's really hard but try not to get yourself in too much of a worry about it. I had cramping from about 5-8 weeks and I'm now 14+5 everything's fine! Just think about how much stretching and growing is going on in there. Your body is doing an amazing thing.

The other lady that said about work changes, I went back to work Monday just for 4 hours. I'm doing a phased return back after 9 weeks off and I feel completely thrown in at the deep end. Lots of changes are happening and I've been given a whole new thing to do which I'm finding a bit overwhelming and daunting to be honest, as I've only been back a few hours and still not feeling completely well tbh.

Anyone else still completely shattered. I don't know if it's where I've been doing a bit more recently ie back to work but I'm so so tired but can't seem to stay asleep all night I keep waking up and tossing and turning 🤦🏽‍♀️

stormtrooperjulian · 13/02/2019 08:38

Good luck today @FlapJackered thinking of you x

EltzBee · 13/02/2019 12:15

@FlapJackered thinking of you today and hope you're okay. Xx

FlapJackered · 13/02/2019 12:16

Thanks for all your support ladies. I don't know what I would do without you ❤️
I went to the scan with too full a bladder apparently and they couldn't see anything in there at all. 🙁 they saw fluid on the other side to the side I had the pain on (which is weird) and could mean ectopic still. They have taken blood today and will take blood on Friday and apparently they will be able to tell from that it it is ectopic or not.
I will let you know when I hear on Friday. Until then I think I am going to avoid MN and google as I am just worrying myself more.
Xx

EltzBee · 13/02/2019 12:20

@FlapJackered ah hun. Sending hugs, please do look after yourself this week and do what you need to do. Put your feet up and focus on you. Xx

SullyWifey · 13/02/2019 13:00

@FlapJackered oh darling sorry to read all this. I hope you get some good news on Friday. I'll be keeping everything crossed for you xxx

GemmaJen · 13/02/2019 13:11

@FlapJackered sorry to hear this, hoping for good news on Friday. X

sunshine1987 · 13/02/2019 14:05

@flapjackered sorry you don’t get any answers today lovely, hope you get some good news Friday xx

ChaosMoon · 13/02/2019 14:15

I had the same wait so I know how incredibly stressful that is @FlapJackered. I have everything crossed for you on Friday.

That's understandable @Delilah7. I'm so glad things have improved now.

I hope everyone else is doing ok. Xx

FivexFive · 13/02/2019 17:34

@flapjackered, sending love to you hun xx Take care and be kind to yourself. Keeping everything crossed for you on Friday.

Well, apparently we are Not moving offices after all! It may change, but I'm just going with the flow. We also found out dh gets 2 weeks paid leave when baby arrives, but cannot take any unpaid leave. So now after our scan we can sort my leave out with work and get organised. I feel a spreadsheet coming on ladies!! X

EltzBee · 13/02/2019 18:10

@FivexFive ah I do love a good spreadsheet! I've had my budget options worked out based on stat pay for a while and also some options for part time to consider for when I go back. I like to be prepared and to know we can still do du knee if the bigger things we want to this year.

Got my dating scan this Friday... So nervous!
