The scan went well, I don't know whether it was the worry or the hormones but I was a blubbering wreck. We found the heartbeat and everything is measuring as it should, now just the 12w scan to go in 3w and maybe I can relax a little? 🤞

Ah, I'm so happy for you @GemmaJen! It's such a relief to see that heartbeat isn't it?

@FivexFive my annual leave /maternity /paternity leave spread sheet is definitely my favourite spreadsheet.

FivexFive · 14/02/2019 10:56

Hi all, it's been quite a morning. Woke up and had brown blood when I wiped, very similar to what I'd get at the very start of af. Now is about the time I'd be having my period. I called the anti natal ward, they said I had to go to A&E to get referred to the early pregnancy unit, as I'm less than 16 weeks. So did that, they took a sample which came back as a strong positive. I have an early scan tomorrow afternoon. Have been told to take it easy, to watch for if I get red blood, especially if it is heavy. Also if I get any severe pain. They did say brown blood and spotting is quite common at this stage, so hopefully all will be well at the scan tomorrow... Will keep you posted. Xx

Bettythecat · 14/02/2019 11:00

@GemmaJen congratulations what a lovely picture! It must be so reassuring even if it doesn't get rid of the anxiety completely.

@FivexFive I'm sorry to hear that, hope you're ok and trying to stay calm. Everything I have read online (and believe me I have read everything online relating to pg 😂😂) says it can be totally normal especially around now so try to keep telling yourself that even though I appreciate that's easier said than done. 💜

FivexFive · 14/02/2019 11:25

@bettythecat, thanks hun xx I'm feeling cautiously positive, like you have read loads of stuff in books and online and the nurse at A&E was very reassuring. Just keeping everything crossed for the scan tomorrow.

@gemmajen, sorry missed your post. Lovely picture and so glad to hear all is it should be 🙂

stormtrooperjulian · 14/02/2019 11:34

@GemmaJen that’s great news, glad everything is looking good

@FivexFive I’m glad you’re staying positive, as you say it’s very common so fingers crossed it’s nothing to worry about. Glad you’re getting the scan tomorrow though to set your mind at ease. How far along are you now?

sunshine1987 · 14/02/2019 11:34

@fivexfive ah try not to worry lovely, I know it’s hard xx

@gemmajen aw so lovely! Glad it went well. Don’t worry I cried the whole way through my 8 and 12 week scan, just pure relief xx

Bettythecat · 14/02/2019 12:16

@sunshine1987 @GemmaJen I've got my 8 week scan booked next Wednesday and I think I'm going to be a bit of a wreck for it. I've said it a million times on here (sorry for being boring!) but I haven't had any really awful symptoms and no morning sickness so I'm finding it hard to believe there is anything in there and/or that things are going ok 😫

GemmaJen · 14/02/2019 12:34

Thanks guys, feeling more positive today, but keep kicking myself as I feel I should feel more relaxed now, but I just don't seem to be able to yet. @sunshine1987 I think I'm going to be blubbing for the 12w scan too - hopefully happy tears all-round 😊

@Bettythecat I'm sure you'll be fine, lots of ladies have minimal symptoms. My sickness only really kicked in at the end of week 7, while it's reassuring, I wouldn't recommend it and loads of ladies get it much worse 🙈. I felt such relief after my 6w scan, just seeing a heartbeat made it feel like it was actually in there. Good luck next week x

@FivexFive sorry to hear you're having a worrying time, it's very good you've got a scan so urgently I know the trust in my area is not that good, they make you wait weeks. Hopefully it's nothing to worry about, maybe implantation blood or old lining if it's brown. Good luck for tomorrow x

ChaosMoon · 14/02/2019 12:44

Really glad you're staying positive @FivexFive, I'm sure you'll be fine. It's reassuring when the healthcare professionals take you seriously, while putting your mind at rest about the risks. Good luck tomorrow.

EltzBee · 14/02/2019 12:51

@ChaosMoon hope you get on ok and glad they're positive.

@GemmaJen lovely pic! You must be so pleased.

So terrified for tomorrow just hoping everything is going to be okay! Less then 24 hours to go eek

SullyWifey · 15/02/2019 06:40

@GemmaJen so glad it went well! It's the most amazing feeling seeing it on the screen!

@EltzBee good luck today, can't wait for pics :)

@FlapJackered I know your having a break but I just wanted to say thinking of you and got fingers crossed for good news today xxx

ChaosMoon · 15/02/2019 06:57

Good luck today @EltzBee, @FlapJackered and @FivexFive. Xx

Bettythecat · 15/02/2019 07:00

@FlapJackered @FivexFive @EltzBee good luck with your scans today. Please do check in here and let us know how you get on. We are all rooting for you.

My favourite symptom of lack of sleep is affecting me again. Woke up so many times in the night the last few nights and then waking up abruptly for the day at least an hour before my alarm. 😫

I hope you all had good valentines days. We stayed in and I cooked a yummy Gorgonzola and cream pasta and then made those melt in the middle chocolate things. They were good but needed 30 seconds less in the oven to be even runnier!

AnnaMC214 · 15/02/2019 07:06

Good luck everyone hoping for good news today ❤️ I've been on here a bit less but I'm thinking of you all xx

FivexFive · 15/02/2019 07:50

@flapjackered and @eltzbee, hoping we all get good news today xx

@bettythecat, your v day meal sounds fab!! I have never mastered those melty chocolate puddings, so my hat goes off to you 🙂

We just had a meal at home and to distract myself I started planning birthday things for dh; he turns 30 at the start of March, catching up with me!

Will keep you guys posted on how it goes at the hospital today. Xx

Delilah7 · 15/02/2019 08:09

@FlapJackered I'm thinking of you xxxxx

AngeloMysterioso · 15/02/2019 09:15

Can I join the grads thread?!

AngeloMysterioso, 33, got my BFP on Tuesday on my 5th cycle of TTC GrinGrinGrin

ChaosMoon · 15/02/2019 09:48

@Bettythecat I feel your pain. I woke up 5 times between going to bed and 3am. I didn't get back to sleep after that. It's not even the worst night I've had this week. I can't remember the time I had more than an hour in a go (I now consider that a good night). And 5 hours is a generous estimate. I barely know who I am anymore and I'm freaking out about how much I need to do in work and how little I'm able to concentrate.

Massive congratulations @AngeloMysterioso.

sunshine1987 · 15/02/2019 10:01

Thinking of you all today, fingers crossed for good luck all around xxx

SullyWifey · 15/02/2019 11:06

Congratulations @AngeloMysterioso welcome to the next chapter the journey!! Xxx

@FivexFive sorry doll didn't realise it was yours today too!! Thinking of you all x

Bettythecat · 15/02/2019 11:14

Congratulations @AngeloMysterioso! I had a quick look on the TTC thread earlier today and saw your BFP!

I know this is really silly but the TTC thread have got my month of BFP wrong- they keep saying it's month 8 not month 5. Do you think I should correct them?! I know it's not really relevant but it bugs me coz it's not right!

@ChaosMoon I'm glad it's not just me! My sleep is so broken and light these days. So frustrating!

AnnaMC214 · 15/02/2019 11:28

@Bettythecat the TTC thread don't even have me in the grads list! I ended up just leaving it as I didn't know how to correct it without sounding obnoxious 😂

SullyWifey · 15/02/2019 11:35

@Bettythecat haha I am sure that's annoying to see but personally I think just leave it. Some of those that have been ttc for long time might feel as though your rubbing it in their faces. I don't know! Just a thought x

We got our BFPs and that's all that matters 👶🥰

MrsC87 · 15/02/2019 11:50

I left the TTC thread months ago, I just couldn't keep up so I've been forgotten along time ago lol! I can just about keep up with this one @Bettythecat
Congrats @AngeloMysterioso welcome 💕

Good luck to all having scans today, sending lots of love to you all!
