@AnnaMC214 I had the same thought!

ChaosMoon · 11/02/2019 18:50

Interestingly @Bettythecat, there's evidence that mum's sleep better when they're in the same room. Basically because you don't have to fully wake up in order to feed them /check on them when they do make noises. If they're next door, you still wake up because you're weird to notice every little thing. Then you end up going through to them and fully waking up even when they don't actually need you.

Bettythecat · 11/02/2019 18:54

@ChaosMoon makes sense definitely. That's partly why I like the idea of those bedside cots that attach to the bed- you can basically just flop a boob out and you're good to go 😂

FlapJackered · 11/02/2019 18:54

@FivexFive omg I want to come and live with you. All your food sounds and looks amazing! 🤤 I am cooking healthy tonight with chicken with celeriac and broccoli 🥦 I would much rather have duck ragu!

@ChaosMoon I never knew that, that is really interesting!

FivexFive · 11/02/2019 18:56

@chaosmoon, oh man that explains why the advice changes when you ask older people I guess!! Thank you posting that, I had no idea that was the reason, I thought it was more about keeping an eye on them! Xx

FivexFive · 11/02/2019 18:58

@flapjackered, ha ha it's not always the case, I tried to make a pie a few weeks back, twas a disaster!! X

EltzBee · 11/02/2019 20:27

It looks like they're suggesting never let a baby sleep alone, which seems like something not practical. If it's napping that would mean not doing the housework on the rest of the house or going to the kitchen to cook dinner or having a shower etc. Guess reality is every baby and family is different and work or what is right for them and what works.

Getting more and more nervous about Fridays scan. At this rate by the time it arrives in 6 months I'll be a paranoid wreck and never let it out my sight anyway 🤣

Had anyone else had bad headaches around 11 week's? I've not been sick for 5 days now which is great, still feeling nauseous but awful headaches now that last all day and night.

EltzBee · 12/02/2019 07:55

The sickness came back with gusto this morning 🤢🤮😢

Delilah7 · 12/02/2019 08:30

Ladies I'm feeling normal!!! Can you catch me up on things I've missed so I can come back to my lovely group ❤️

FlapJackered · 12/02/2019 10:32

Panicking a bit. Just had some very light pink cm when I wiped just now. Has anyone else had this? I haven't had any spotting at all since finding out. 😕

@Delilah7 yay! So glad you're feeling better!

EltzBee · 12/02/2019 10:50

@FlapJackered might be worth calling your Dr even if it's just for peace of mind hun. The NHS does say some spotting can be normal but it's worth getting reassurance. Hugs. Xx

Bettythecat · 12/02/2019 11:48

@FlapJackered try not to panic. I think a lot of women get some spotting particularly in early pregnancy. Keep an eye on it and see if you get anymore or call your doctor if you don't want to wait. Xx

sunshine1987 · 12/02/2019 11:57

@flapjackered it can be completely normal so please don’t panic xx

AnnaMC214 · 12/02/2019 12:18

@FlapJackered I've had very light brown tinged cm on and off for the last few days. I was/am also panicking about it a bit but it seems that they only really worry if it's bright red or you have pains too. I decided not to do anything yet and keep an eye on it until my midwife appointment next week. My local EPU won't even scan you until 6 weeks anyway as there's not a lot to see until then. As others have said, it's pretty common I think but if you're really worried then I'd call your GP or midwife. xx

MrsC87 · 12/02/2019 12:59

@FlapJackered I had it at 9 weeks and all was fine. Turned out to be a small hematoma. The EPU said spotting is very normal and sometime your body can try to force at period at the normal times, so 8 weeks, 12 weeks. I would call your doctor anyway and they may advise a scan just to check you over and give you peace of mind xx

Hey @Delilah7 so glad to hear you're feeling better, how many weeks are you now?

Delilah7 · 12/02/2019 13:08

@FlapJackered @MrsC87 hi ladies!! I'm 18 weeks 4 days. So nearly halfway ! You all ok?? Xx

GemmaJen · 12/02/2019 13:51

Hi guys, just checking in again. Been away in LA and got back on Saturday. Awesome trip, but the constant naseua was definitely a downer. Just about recovered from the jet lag now - I've never had it so bad. It's the first time I've ever been glad to get home from a trip - but LA was great, such a strangely familiar city and of course Disney was perfect as always.

Got a scan tomorrow and I'm scared to death, feel like life is on hold till I know everything is ok. Will be 9w, wishing everything is going ok 🤞

FlapJackered · 12/02/2019 13:58

Thanks everyone. I hope you're right but I have just had some pain, like a really bad stitch which is coming and going. I have got a bad feeling about this, it doesn't feel right. I have rung the doctors and someone is going to call me back.

EltzBee · 12/02/2019 14:01

@Delilah7 ah wow! I remember you getting your bfp that's amazing you're 18 weeks already.

@FlapJackered hope you're okay hun.

@GemmaJen glad you had a good holiday and that you're over the jetlag. I'm struggling just doing nothing so imagine a 11 hr flight must have been tough with the nausea bless you. Good luck tomorrow!

stormtrooperjulian · 12/02/2019 14:02

@FlapJackered the stitch like pain could be your ligaments stretching, I’ve been having quite a bit of ligament pain. As the others have said, spotting in early pregnancy is very common. I hope the dr gets back to you soon.

@GemmaJen glad you had a good trip! Don’t know how you’re coping with the jet lag though, I feel constantly exhausted at the moment even without any jet lag. Although getting up every two hours to pee during the night isn’t helping that 😂

Delilah7 · 12/02/2019 14:02

@EltzBee it's very strange isn't it how quick it's gone xxx

EltzBee · 12/02/2019 14:03

@FlapJackered just seen your message, keep positive and try not to worry, hope they get back to your soon. How many weeks are you now, is it over 6? Xx

FlapJackered · 12/02/2019 14:12

@stormtrooperjulian I hope so. It's so hard not to worry isn't it. I don't know how I am going to reach 12 weeks without becoming a complete mess.

Thanks @EltzBee I am only 5+3 so still early days.

EltzBee · 12/02/2019 14:24

@FlapJackered sending hugs, please do try to stay calm. Have got had any more pink? The cramping can be normal, everything starts stretching surprisingly early and feels like period pains.

Take it easy and look after yourself today.
