Hi! So I got my BFP on Christmas Eve and am just under 5 weeks. It's quite a lonely time keeping quiet until after 12 weeks so I thought I would start a thread for ladies who are roughly the same time along so we can keep each other company and talk about this exciting time!

What are people symptoms? Do you feel pregnant yet?? I feel pretty normal! Maybe a little more tired but otherwise fine.
How are people going to play New Year's Eve? We have a big do on the 31st and a family lunch on the 1st - don't know how I'm going to get away without drinking!

Xx

Oh thank god I thought I was going crazy then reading loads about sickness and foods putting you off. Literally the opposite every smell I want haha!

zoomies1 · 23/01/2019 16:48

Hi All, Can I join? I think I am due 19th Sept although am a bit hazy on dates.

I called the GP yesterday but they aren't interested in seeing me and told me to self refer but I don't know which of the two hospitals to go with as I'm not from this area and don't really know anyone here. Can't ask the people I do know without giving the game away. Any tips on what to look out for?

Nausea hit me this week and whilst its actually ok today (tends to hit me first thing although it has lasted all day a couple of times, including the day I had a very long drive and had to have a plastic bag on hand), I actually (SORRY IF THIS IS TMI), vomited blood this morning. Not much, and I don't think its unusual but as I haven't registered a the hospital and the GP isn't interested (only found out on Sat), its quite a lonely place when you have no one to ask.... am going to have a chat with a friend over the next week I think.

Hi ladies, hope everything is going okay for everyone and their little beans! I still have little to no symptoms other than I’m eating everything and have gained a lot of weight which I can’t stand! I have my first midwife appt tomorrow so I am hoping for some reassurance and some tips of keeping the weight down him a healthy way obviously! I heard little beans heart beat for the first time last week and it was the best feeling ever, hope going forward everything is okay still. Looking forward to hearing more from all of
You ladies xxx

ChrisPrattsFace · 23/01/2019 18:22

Whiskey, I’m about 7 weeks now. Midwifes have confusion over my dates so have said I need to wait until my dating scan!
Have had an early scan due to medication and health problems.
Genuinely debilitating sickness, i feel pathetic but finding it so difficult!

l0psy · 23/01/2019 18:29

Hey ladies!
I'm about 6.5/6.6, due middle of September!
Found out not even a week ago and still doesn't feel real.
Nausea is just now starting to hit me- spend all day feeling on the edge of vomiting, but managing to hold it down. But starving (for all the sweet things!😬)
Other than that, not had much symptoms besides mild cramping last week and now super bloated and gassy.
I have an appointment on Monday with the GP in preparation for the midwife on the 14th. It's killing me to wait that long, but fighting my anxiety and going on a lot of walks. Trying to stay positive and remember that nothing is in my control, but always envisioning the most wonderful outcome. :)

GemmaJen · 23/01/2019 19:42

@Malteaser12 I'm with you, no symptoms other than a little food aversion and eating everything else. Craving some wierd foods too, and gaining so much weight! I'm going to be the size of a house if I keep this up!

Malteaser12 · 23/01/2019 19:44

@gemmajen that’s re assuring it isn’t just me! we could just be the lucky ones with no sickness but something is telling me it could be a sign of little boy! I’m going to speak with midwife tomorrow about the healthiest way to slow the weight gain down, I don’t want to be huge!! Xxx

BBell2 · 23/01/2019 21:08

Hi, I'm on the antenetal club board too but saw this post first having a nose a few days ago..when I was a bit shell shocked. I have a 2.5yr old, should be due around 23rd Sept. Only symptoms are stretching pains and sleeping a shed loads....like the best fortnights sleep I've had in 3 years - should have known from that alone. Also desperate for horlicks and oranges last week, exactly same as with DD so really should have twigged. hope everyone is feeling ok today.

olderone · 23/01/2019 21:33

Hi everyone, I had a positive test at the weekend I'm 5 weeks now. We've a DD who will be 6 next week. I'm feeling nervous as I'm 47 and had 2 mc's before DD. Feeling ok just more tired than usual 🙄

pinkpig381 · 23/01/2019 22:42

Has anybody had any back pain? Not a dull ache but more sharp twinges if I move a certain way, not sure if it's because of little bean or if it's something else 😂 started today, I'm 5+4.

Whisky2014 · 23/01/2019 23:20

Oh god i am like a bagpipe today. I cannot stop trumping. My husband had to open the windows of our bedroom so that I didn't gas him!
I haven't eaten anything out of the ordinary, wonder whats going on Blush

Teddie1 · 23/01/2019 23:35

@Whisky2014 all I do is fart and burp constantly! It's horrible! And the constipation SadAngry awful!

And for everyone else feeling fat - despite being off food I still manage to feel snug in my uniforms and can't cope with jeans! Pregnancy is not cute Envy

Whisky2014 · 23/01/2019 23:42

Lol yup parp and burp..that's all I'm good for these days!

My clothes became tight quite quickly and I definitely need some soft bras asap. I have a good appetite too..I expect to be a whale in precisely 2 weeks time haha

I've also got a bloody sharp pain right in the middle of my breast bone. Like the breast pain but right on a bone Confused

Good luck everyone, its a crazy rollercoaster we're on!

Karigan195 · 24/01/2019 07:04

Well this week ms has really hit. It’s awful. Now keeping rich tea biscuits by the bed as if I don’t eat something straightaway when I get up this baby seriously punishes me. Usually call it little bean. This week it’s little bastard.....

Megan2018 · 24/01/2019 09:08

I think I'm a freak - have the opposite to the constipation I am meant to have, have no appetite, no sickness.

Genuinely convinced I am not pregnant at all and it's been some dreadful misunderstanding! Boobs were sore and nipples grew early on, had smell aversion for a week. Since then precisely nada (now 6+4)
Weird.

Karigan195 · 24/01/2019 09:18

Ha it’s coming Megan. I was fine until this week now suddenly no food is safe and I’m far more familiar with my loo than I care for! Week 9 here!

DuggeesWoggle · 24/01/2019 16:35

Megan I am the opposite too (perhaps thankfully) - can only eat beige carby shite but have very loose stools. Usually wake up first thing needing an absolutely enormous shite. Sorry maybe tmi but certainly no constipation here Grin

Totally over the nausea now, hits most when I am tired or not eaten for a couple of hours. Not enjoying cooking or eating evening meals at the mo but with a toddler and a DH who doesn't get in til 6pm it's kind of my job Envy (bleurgh not envy)

Babycakes1989 · 24/01/2019 16:39

This thread has had me in stitches 😂 I can relate to all the funny symptoms especially the wind 😷 I’m 5 weeks today, due date 26th sept. 2nd pregnancy,1st ended in mmc. Praying for better luck this time ❤️ Good luck all xxxx

MrsLBear · 24/01/2019 19:20

@DuggeesWoggle I'm the same as you with regards to toilet business. It's been quite bad some days though has calmed considerably. I fear that I may have some sort of pregnancy intolerance to cheese and mayo - both of which are my absolutely faves.
And omg I know the trumping!!!! I don't do it in front of my DH but I'm starting to think that won't last much longer cos I get such bad tummy cramps.

Anyone else had pains near their ribs or in their hips?

Ceebs7 · 24/01/2019 19:52

I got my bfp 12th jan. Date of my last period was 13th dec so i should be 6 weeks today, due sept. However I'm now wondering if im further on than i think as my last period only last 1.5 days, im massive already and every day this week i swear i have felt the baby move. When im lying in bed i can defs feel a baby movement (not gas etc). My wee boy is nearly 3 so remember the feeling. I dont know what to do. Im worried to call the Dr incase they think im wasting their time but I dont know how else to confirm for sure.

Help please x

herethereandnow · 24/01/2019 20:33

Hi all - so pleased to see this thread set up up! Congratulations to you all!! I'm 6 weeks today, due 19 September. We lost our first pregnancy last September - can you believe it was on the 19th September. I can't decide if its a cruel weird twist of fate or not but either way - I'm so excited and nervous about this pregnancy. We aren't making any announcements until closer to the 12 week mark. But I'm feeling more morning sickness and more moodswings than my first pregnancy so I'm really hoping that's a good sign. And I'm completely the same about the wind!! So embarrassing! Looking forward to the chats and sharing experiences xx

DuggeesWoggle · 24/01/2019 20:35

Ceebs may not be 100% ethical but if you phoned your GP and said you were having really bad cramps or had had a bit of bleeding you might be able to get an early scan at the EPU. They will tell you how big the baby is.

Or you could pay for a private scan.

herethereandnow · 24/01/2019 20:36

@ceebs7 have you considered a private scan? They are pricey but will give you peace of mind.

Karigan195 · 24/01/2019 20:46

Ceebs my dates are confused for the same reason. I had a really light 1 day bleed for my last possible ‘ period’ but the one 20 days before that was more normal. They are dating me from the one before. Just tell the midwife as you don’t want to miss screening

PoppySeed91 · 24/01/2019 21:05

Totally with you girls on the bloat and windy front, they don’t talk about that much in all the glowy pregnancy stuff do they?!

Has anyone else had sharp stabbing pains on one side? They’re not constant just a couple of times a day but I’m getting freaked out they’re not normal pains! I’m 6+2, nausea getting slowly worse! And super sore boobs!
