@GemmaJen just to reassure you I had spotting at 3/4 weeks and also around 11. I know it's a horrible feeling to be constantly worrying every time you go to the loo. All here if you need to vent or just chat about worries x

Hi ladies looking for some advice. Af was due on Sunday but didn't arrive, did a CB early detection yesterday first thing in the morning and got a strong positive. I've been to buy some Boots cheapies tests today to reassure myself and have just POAS and the line is barely visible. Now I'm worried my HCG levels aren't building like they should be. Help!

Bettythecat · 22/01/2019 20:18

These are the two tests so you can see.

Bettythecat · 22/01/2019 20:19

Sorry- now attached!!

@Bettythecat Your HCG levels will still be very low at this stage and only double every 48 hours so please don’t worry, a positive is a positive! Stop peeing on sticks, you’re pregnant!

Bettythecat · 22/01/2019 20:38

@MrsEG I knowwww you're totally right!! I bought some so I could see the line getting darker and then gave myself a shock when I saw the very faint line! I've talked myself out of panicking now though- they weren't even 48 hours apart and I've drunk a lot today so no wonder it's not that dark 😬! Silly me.

MrsEG · 22/01/2019 20:57

@Bettythecat There you go! Also all the tests detect slightly different levels of HCG, for example a FRER can pick up at a level of 8 whereas a CB digital won’t show positive until a level of 25, so they are all different. So please don’t worry one bit :)

Hi ladies, careful out there today it's slippery in places!!

Ok so I'm going to signing out for a week or so; my exam is next Thursday and really need to focus as it's my last one!! But I'll be lurking now and then and if a new thread rolls around, if you guys could tag me that'd be lovely 🙂 If anything big happens I'll check in, but fingers crossed all will be well... See you on 1st Feb, after the exam is (hopefully) conquered!!

Love and good vibes to you all for now xxxx

sunshine1987 · 23/01/2019 13:24

So I’ve got my 12 week scan tomorrow, I am BRICKING it. Argh, feel so anxious about it all! Has anyone else got theirs coming up in the next week? xx

EltzBee · 23/01/2019 14:15

@sunshine1987 good luck for tomorrow! Fingers crossed all goes well, I'm sure it will. Let us know how it goes! Still 3 weeks to go til mine, I'm sure time is slowing down waiting!!

SullyWifey · 23/01/2019 14:36

@sunshine1987 Iv got mine on Friday. I'm soooo excited but anxious as well. Just have a nice bath tonight and good nights sleep! Let us know how it goes xxxx

MrsEG · 23/01/2019 14:54

@sunshine1987 @SullyWifey Good luck with your scans ladies! How exciting!

Bettythecat · 23/01/2019 14:56

@SullyWifey @sunshine1987 it's so exciting- you will get to see your baby and hear the heartbeat! I'm sure it will all go really well and then the next few months will start to fly by. I'm desperate for the next 8 weeks to pass so that I can have mine! How many weeks are you both in NHS terms? Xx

CookieWaffle · 23/01/2019 16:16

Good luck in your exams @FivexFive!

If I hadn't said so already, congrats and welcome @Bettythecat!

@sunshine1987 good luck tomorrow! Mine is at the same time as SullyWifey's on Friday!

SullyWifey · 23/01/2019 16:18

@Bettythecat only 8 weeks to go that's amazing! Has it felt like a long time or not? I bet you can't wait now.

I am 12.1 in NHS terms I found at at 4 weeks so already feels like forever!

Ahh I'm soo excited just wishing Friday to come along. So do they actually play the heartbeat out loud for you to hear?? Oh my days I will totally cry 😂

Bettythecat · 23/01/2019 16:32

@SullyWifey noooo I mean 8 weeks until my first scan!! Only got my BFP on Monday so I'm 4 weeks now- feels like forever until I have my scan!

Yeah I think they let you listen to the heart beat if they can find it (not because it's not there I think in certain positions they can't find it). 😄

SullyWifey · 23/01/2019 16:42

@Bettythecat oh I'm so sorry i got very confused there!! I was pretty sure you had only just for your BFP 😂 baby brain has begun!!!

I hope the next few weeks go quick for you. I'm not going to lie it dragged for me. I was so sick from 4.5 to about 11, started feeling better last week! Think that's why it's felt so long! Fingers crossed you don't get too sick!! My friend who is 4 days behind me has sailed through with no horrible symptoms!! Super jealous of course haha xx

SullyWifey · 23/01/2019 16:43

@CookieWaffle eeek only 1.5 more days at work until we get to see our bubbas! Xxx

EltzBee · 23/01/2019 17:02

@SullyWifey baby brain already, uh oh we're all doomed :) lol

I've really gone off fruit and veg the past couple of weeks, I think because a lot of it makes me feel SO bloated afterwards. I'm addicted to pasta and spinach together though and can't get enough of cheese. Babybel are like the best thing ever right now!! Anyone else noticed food aversions like that? I usually love my veg and pile it high on my plate, but just...meh, no!

Bettythecat · 23/01/2019 17:09

@SullyWifey hahaha no worries- I wish I could jump to week 32! I'm feeling the days drag so much already. I just want a bump and to have a scan and for it to be an actual baby!! Any tips on passing the time? It's like the TWW all over again 😂😂

canonlyhopexo · 23/01/2019 17:10

It's so exciting everyone is nearing their scans. I have ours next Thursday! I've had such bad sickness I can't stomach much more than plain toast, soup or plain crisps but I'm so looking forward to tucking into some decent food. Nando's is calling me!

EltzBee · 23/01/2019 17:33

@Bettythecat I'm 8+4 weeks, totally know what you mean about it feeling like the tww! I got exhaustion and nausea that kicked in about 6 weeks, that sort of changed how it felt as I 'felt' like my body was changing and doing something! If that makes sense?

@canonlyhopexo the nausea and sickness is definitely what put me off food. I've also totally gone off eggs - I don't mind eating them but the sight of a raw egg - just nope!

Mm Nando's! Someone mentioned chips yesterday in the office and all I could think about was chips then, so we succumbed and got chippy for tea yday.

canonlyhopexo · 23/01/2019 17:44

@EltzBee I'm just over 11 weeks and I'm still the same as I was at 5 so I'm getting really peed off with not stomaching much. I did have two little slices of pizza just an oven cooked one from Tesco and that did not settle well! Nando's is just the best haha and I get discount through work so I'm just devastated I'm not making the most of it! Hope you enjoyed the chips after the craving! X

Bettythecat · 23/01/2019 17:51

@EltzBee completely know what you mean I'm actually looking forward to a few symptoms (I'm sure I won't be saying that in a few weeks!!) as the symptoms I did have seem to have disappeared. Only thing that's left now is some slight cramping. Doesn't feel like I'm even really pregnant at this point especially as I can't tell anyone!

I know you've probably all discussed this before but how early did you tell people? And what on earth excuses did you use not to drink in the meantime?!

sunshine1987 · 23/01/2019 18:04

Thanks everyone, will let you know 😘

@bettythecat I’m 12+2 so a day ahead of @sullywifey lol. They don’t do the heartbeat at this scan where we are, they don’t listen to it until 16 weeks here. But you see it on the scan x

@cookiewaffle @sullywifey aw how exciting! Best of luck for Friday too 💜
