We've run out of room so let's start again.

New people welcome. The group aims to support those who are pregnant post difficulty.

All are welcome - we are aimed at 12 week plus as those early weeks are a different kind of roller coaster and another group exists for support then. However you are welcome here too if you want to join.

Some of us have been here a while and nearly ready to pop. Others already had their babies.

Welcome one and all xxx

@Fox23 Lol your husband sounds great 🤣🤣 prob like mine, I am crying he is smiling. I have done vaccination, she didn’t cry much.. very happy. But had to ask girl from reception to hold her. Hope the temperature will be under control now.
I am originally from Russia 😁 I don’t know why u look so familiar, I guess in nearby park there r loads of girls from all over the world, must be someone looking like you 😀 or u have a twin sister. Or I simply met you somewhere in London 🤪

Fox23 · 25/02/2019 15:53

@Aliona19 so it can't be our birth country, as I'm Latvian. Talking of which- I just got British citizenship! 😁 ceremony will be on Thursday!
I live in Barnet so not sure how far from you I am. Probably I just look like someone else 😊

Aliona19 · 25/02/2019 16:13

@Fox23 🤣🤣 ah well! That might just explains it all as I live in whetstone which is Barnet 🤣🤣 Congratulations on citizenship 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 I still have to do it, but too expensive so I am not in a hurry 🤣🤣

Fox23 · 25/02/2019 19:30

@Aliona19 we must catch up for a coffee then! We are probably in a walking distance!

Aliona19 · 25/02/2019 19:50

@Fox23 lol that’s hilarious really 🤣🤣 I have costa just across the road 😅😅👌🏻

Fox23 · 25/02/2019 21:39

The one by the Waitrose or the one next to Hair Lounge?

Fox23 · 25/02/2019 21:40

@Aliona19 sorry forgot to @ you in my previous post

Aliona19 · 25/02/2019 23:53

@Fox23 😱😱😱 the one by the Waitrose 😱🤣🤣 I bet I saw you and you gave me a dirty look too LOL

Fox23 · 26/02/2019 02:55

@Aliona19 🤦🏻‍♀️😂😂 probably you are right! However I very rarely venture that way (I only know because I used to work that's way over 10 years ago. But I do walk past the other one every morning on my walk. Let me know if you want to grab a coffee!
Ps- Alice woke up for a feed hence I'm replying at 3am 😂😂😂 back to sleep now!

Barcelo18 · 26/02/2019 07:28

So after a trip to the drs they now day my lo has a dairy intolerance and have prescribed a dairy free formula now and referred us into a paediatrician. I’m still beating myself up that I couldn’t manage to breastfeed but I know I gave it my all and couldn’t have done anymore. Hopefully we will get him sorted finally and he can be our happy baby all of the time x

Aliona19 · 26/02/2019 07:56

@Barcelo18 that’s good news! Hopefully lo get better. Don’t worry about breastfeeding. As I said, I was hooked up on cheese sandwiches and Vicky wasn’t feeling super good. I didn’t cut dairy out but had to cut down. If u was BF imagine the nightmare of looking for dairy free everything! ❤️
@Fox23 I will PM you my number. Let’s meet up end of the week or next week. It’s just I have a cold and temperature yesterday, don’t want to pass it on you 😅 and what the hell, how many talents do you have?! Cooking, drawing, what else? 🤣🤣
I had night from hell. Couldn’t sleep myself bcoz of cold.. and Vicky woke up screaming and her temperature was high after vaccination and it was a struggle to give her calpol. Then she had explosive poop and I had to change her clothes..disaster. Soooo hoping we r past this now..poor little thing 😢🤒

Fox23 · 26/02/2019 08:04

@Barcelo18 I think it's great news to find out dairy intolerance as you can now make all the arrangements! It's always best to know, right!
@Aliona19 sure, will be great to catch up! It's so annoying to have a cold! I had it few weeks ago and was so so happy to see the back of it! Sure, definitely get well first, and hope Victoria takes some Calpol. Isn't it amazing that she is done with her jabs! Alice will have hers next week.

Liverpool19 · 27/02/2019 21:32

Hi everyone!

Just caught up on the posts!

With regards to pain relief take it if you need too! I had diamorphine wanted an epidural but didn’t have time 😬 so I gave birth and felt EVERYTHING. I didn’t have a birth plan either I just went with the flow so to speak 😂 we have been on 2, 3mile walks yesterday and today enjoying the weather! Baby has his second set of needles next week.

If the babies are struggling to take calpol try putting it in the teet of the bottle and put it in their mouths. This is what I do and with the gripe water and he takes it!

X

Aliona19 · 27/02/2019 21:56

@Liverpool19 hey. How are you doing? Weather was amazing and I spend last 2 days with unwell baby 😫 she had temperature after last lost of jabs. Poor baby. Yesterday even calpol wouldn’t bring it down. Gave her Nurofen and she threw it up 10 sec later 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ Really hates medication. Why the hell do they make it so sweet and sticky and hard to swallow. Anyway, she is better now. Have my smiley baby back. Second lot of jabs is fine, 3rd is brutal 😫

Liverpool19 · 27/02/2019 22:13

I’m good thanks aliona oh them needles are horrible aren’t they. I hate that they need to have them! Jake loves calpol 😂 I think it’s the sweetness 🤦🏼‍♀️ Glad she is back to her normal self! X

felicityheather · 28/02/2019 11:12

Hi all! I haven't been having notifications either. Nice to have caught up with how everyone's doing. I'm officially in the third trimester now. Horribly anxious about movement every other day or so but otherwise not doing badly.

Barcelo18 · 03/03/2019 17:43

@felicityheather. What an exciting time you have ahead of you now. I know it’s a cliche but rest as much as you can and take time to do the things you enjoy doing.

If you’re worried about movement go into your maternity assessment unit for a check over. They honestly would rather you go in and be checked then sit at home worrying about it. My lo moved towards the end of my pregnancy and his back was against my belly so I very rarely felt movement but due to complications I was in the hospital every other day so the checks due to that kept me calm re movement x

felicityheather · 04/03/2019 13:26

Thanks @Barcelo18. I was in today for a 28 week check, glucose tolerance check and anti-d injection. They weren't happy with my blood pressure so I have to go in in the morning for monitoring in the maternity assessment unit. Plus I have consultant Thursday and mental health midwife on Monday so I'm going up and down to the hospital permanently!

Janefx40 · 04/03/2019 22:23

Hey everyone. Sorry for silence and not much time to post now either. Sylvie is gorgeous but hard work. Currently screaming at Daddy downstairs and I'm meant to be sleeping ready for the night shift!

@swimchick1980 I'm so so sorry for your loss. How absolutely devastating at this time. Sending lots of love to you xxx

@BeHereNowx32 so excited for you. What helped me was being well informed and prepared. You have to be ready to go with the flow on the day and be flexible. But it's good to have some knowledge with you to help you make decisions. You can't be googling when you're in labour!!! I had birth plans for natural, c section and induced labour. I found it useful even though you may have to change your plans as things progress. It's a bit daunting but it's just a means to meeting your longed for baby!

@Barcelo18 Sorry about the reflux. Glad you have good meds. I think Sylvie has it too but not sure it's bad enough for meds

@Aliona19 @Fox23 I want to come to your meet up!! I may not be ready for a couple of months but will join you then. I'm going to start spending a day a week with my Mum who isn't a million miles from you.

@felicityheather It is scary waiting for your baby. Hard to believe that you will actually get there but you will. Of course though check out any worries at the hospital - if you need reassurance, go get it as often as you need.

@Liverpool19 Love the name Jake and great to hear about his personality

Love to you all

Sleep xxx

Barcelo18 · 05/03/2019 04:36

@janefx40. They know think it’s a dairy intolerance. We had a really unhappy baby which was very tiring and stressful but we seem to have him sorted now and he’s full of smiles. He obviously still has his moments but nothing like before. I’d just mention it to the health visitor and see what they say x

Aliona19 · 05/03/2019 13:15

@Janefx40 ahh Jane, so nice hearing from you. 🤣🤣 I remember those first week doing shifts with my other half lol not fair though, as when he was sleeping-he was like a log. When I was sleeping-still could heat baby cry. We just met up with Fox, it would be great to see you one day. When your r ready. Will send u number in pm as this thread is not very reliable ❤️
@Barcelo18 so nice to hear your baby is sorted ❤️ Vicky is not crying much but when she does-I feel so helpless, can imagine how you feel when baby is so upset so often. Happy for you
@felicityheather I remember my anti-D injection 😅 was arguing with nurse as she wanted to do it in my bum 🤣🤣 I kept spinning round trying to avoid it 😅 she wouldn’t do it anywhere else. So when they done it after baby was born in my arm I was like “wtf?!? Nurse told me it must be bum!!” Nurse looked at me funny saying “oh she must have preferred it that way” 🤣🤣🤬🤬 We all know this movement checks are soo stressful.. remember babies sleeping most of the day, so sometimes u won’t feel them. I kept saying this to myself non stop. A little bit left for you, there ll be new worries though 😅🙄❤️

felicityheather · 05/03/2019 21:48

Yes @Aliona19 ! They're now worried about pre eclampsia as my bp was high and have protein in my urine! Been wired up to a ccg today and that all looked good so back in Thursday to see the consultant and take it from there!

felicityheather · 05/03/2019 21:49

But thankfully Gtt was all fine and my anti d went in my arm!

Barcelo18 · 06/03/2019 08:02

@felicityheather. This is exactly what happened to me. The protein was found in my urine so then they had me in every other day monitoring me on the machines for half an hour to a hour. It gave me peace of mind though and they eventually attempted to induce me at 38 weeks due to it but it didn’t work so I then went for a c section two days later. You are in the best hands Xx

felicityheather · 06/03/2019 14:17

@Barcelo18 yes I actually felt quite reassured to be honest. Hopefully it comes to nothing but if it's something at least they're keeping an eye on things.
