We've run out of room so let's start again.

New people welcome. The group aims to support those who are pregnant post difficulty.

All are welcome - we are aimed at 12 week plus as those early weeks are a different kind of roller coaster and another group exists for support then. However you are welcome here too if you want to join.

Some of us have been here a while and nearly ready to pop. Others already had their babies.

Welcome one and all xxx

jane sleep while you can 😂 he’s so funny and loud. He’s such a happy little baby and so good. Hoping he stays like that. He’s holding his head up on his own and can sit-up for ages as long as he has support on his back.
barcelo i work shifts and work have gave me flexible working. Which is unheard of in my job. So I can put him with a child minder and my mum will have a couple of days too. I’m going back in August 😭.

X

Aliona19 · 17/02/2019 20:45

@Janefx40 Beautiful name 🥰 Amazing that she sleeps that long. But things change every time 🙄 Vicky is teething and last few days were rough. Well done on working it out with breastfeeding. I had massive problem with supply around 6 weeks or so..Don’t know what u doing for that, but pumping at night is the key! From 1 to 6 am they say is the most important times. We met with Star and Dbear today in Richmond Park. Weather was amazing. Hope you all had nice day 😊
@Barcelo18 well done on visiting classes. I haven’t done one yet 😱 really need to do it but keep wondering if she is going to be interested 🤔

BeHereNowx32 · 17/02/2019 21:37

@Janefx40 (my username is a little different...) hi! Doing ok. I’m just past 36 weeks, and have finished up for work now. Had my baby shower today, which was very surreal, and left me a little emotional! Such a nice day, and just want baby to arrive safely.

Sylvie is such a nice name. Sounds like you are settling into mummy-hood well. Breastfeeding is something I am nervous about, but would like to try. I hope you are finding it’s coming along ok now.

Can’t believe everyone’s babies getting so big now 😊 seems like time is going fast! I’m finding pregnancy ok. Just still worry about movement. But I think it’s my anterior placenta. I feel her when lying down.

Hope everyone is well xx

swimchick1980 · 21/02/2019 19:34

Hello everyone, sorry for the radio silence. Hope you are all well - so many babies now, loved having a quick read through the posts. And also lovely to read about the bumps too!

I have had a pretty rubbish start to the year. LO is doing really well but DM passed away last month which was (and is) just awful. I miss her so much and feel very cheated that she only got to see my LO for the first 6 weeks. We found out only a couple of weeks after LO was born that they could do nothing more for her and she deteriorated really quickly after that.

It is great having my 2 LOs to focus on though, it is really helping me cope with it all (or keeping me busy at least)!

Aliona19 · 21/02/2019 20:55

@swimchick1980 So sorry to hear this. This is really awful 😢 I wish I could say something to make you feel better but I know I can’t. I am just hope your LO will make you smile at this hard time and help you to cope. Here if you want to talk xx

swimchick1980 · 22/02/2019 11:22

Thanks @Aliona19 xx

Liverpool19 · 22/02/2019 12:54

Ahh swim sorry to hear this. I hope you are ok. Xx

swimchick1980 · 22/02/2019 21:09

Thanks @Liverpool19 x

Barcelo18 · 23/02/2019 08:04

@swimchick1980 I’m so sorry to hear this but lovely to know your LOs are providing you some comfort at what must be an incredibly sad time xxxx

Fox23 · 24/02/2019 18:54

@swimchick1980 I'm so sorry to hear! It's something I can't even imagine...
I stopped receiving emails about new posts, same as @Aliona19 mentioned!
It's so amazing to hear how everyone is doing- a lot of babies!!
We started music classes few weeks ago! On 2nd she will be 4months old...
I started my own blog- what a learning curve!!!! It's www.myhomeandfood.com as I realised that being at home with the baby I miss doing adult stuff (no, I mean actually being an adult with my own personality!) so my blog is helping me to do that.
I write about baby stuff, recipes, myself, DIY... everything basically.
Alice tried apple purée for the first time this morning - just to try different flavours, not as a meal yet, of course. She can't sit yet, but all she wants to do is sit!
How is everybody else doing?

Aliona19 · 24/02/2019 19:50

@Fox23 hey 👋🏼 nice hearing from you. Looks like this thread is going to die soon. I will definitely have a look at your page, had already and can see how u attached that musical wheel 🤣🤣🤣

I think mumsnet had issues with security and I personally was logged out, maybe that’s why the emails were messed up too.
I didn’t realise you had baby day after me 😱😱 we r 4 month on 1st. We have last lot of vaccination tomorrow 😢😢 I spend weekend crying over it already 😅😅 I don’t know how to keep myself content while holding her 🙄🙄 I feel like it’s been a massive change after 3 month with little one. All of a sudden she turned into a proper little human 🤣🤣
How’s everyone, girls?!?

BeHereNowx32 · 24/02/2019 20:17

@swimchick1980 sorry to hear about your sad news. Xx

@Aliona19 @Fox23 good to hear that babies are doing well. I can’t believe how fast time is going and that they are nearly 4 months old! That’s such a nice ages.

I’m over 37 weeks, and getting regular sciatic pain and Braxton Hicks. It’s making me very nervous about labour, and I want to try be calm. If you have any advice please pass it on! Otherwise, I will just plan for taking any pain relief that I can! Xx

Aliona19 · 24/02/2019 20:35

@BeHereNowx32 👋🏼 Nice age 😅😅 don’t know about that. Haha
I don’t really have advice as didn’t have no braxton hicks. I had bad hip pain, hated it. As for pain relief, what’s wrong with that? If you feel like you need it-go for it. You not going to have tour tooth pulled out without medication, why be in pain during childbirth. Don’t overthink 😘 you nearly there!

BeHereNowx32 · 24/02/2019 20:38

@Aliona19 haha. I guess all ages could be challenging when you’re with baby all the time 🙊
Thank you! Definitely isn’t anything wrong with pain relief! I’ll jusr try and go with the flow and take it if I need to.
Thank you! Xx

Aliona19 · 24/02/2019 20:42

@BeHereNowx32 exactly. You do your thing and if you feel you can’t handle it-u have pain relief. I have always said I won’t have any, but after c section when things started contracting back all of a sudden-I nearly dropped baby, how sharp and unexpected that was. So I have changed my mind of pain relief 🤣🤣

BeHereNowx32 · 24/02/2019 20:45

@Aliona19 I think it’s the unknown which is scary.... like I don’t know how painful it will be, or how things will go. I will try and focus on the arrival of my baby and hope that helps! Xx

Barcelo18 · 24/02/2019 20:45

I’ve been sat having this same conversation with a friend today. Don’t rule anything out, have an open mind. Don’t set your heart on your labour plan.

I was induced for 2 days and then had an emergency c section which was never a birth I had planned for but after two days of being induced I just wanted my beautiful baby in my arms and didn’t care in the end how he came out as long as it was safely and as pain free as possible.

Aliona19 · 24/02/2019 20:53

@BeHereNowx32 I agree. Unknown is the scary part. But for me also manmade pain is much worse. Is like when tooth hurts I can tolerate it, when Dentist is hurting me-nah-a!
@Barcelo18 that’s right, no matter how many plans you make-things can change. I spend whole pregnancy worrying about things like “how not to 💩 yourself during labour” 🤣🤣 and then suddenly on my last appointment it was all irrelevant bcoz I had to have planned section. How r you doing?

Fox23 · 24/02/2019 21:43

@BeHereNowx32 wow! You are almost there! 🤞🤞🤞🤞
@Barcelo18 yep... same as me... same google history. Although I was requesting c section I wasn't sure they will agree, so yes.... it was irrelevant for me too at the end. Glad I had c section tho. Can't imagine 10.4lbs coming out easily 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️
@Aliona19 did you get that wheel? My little one loves piano now- seriously- everything that makes a sound/noise she figures out immediately how to use and ... non stop. And agree- last few days Alice changed as well! Into a proper little girl 👧
I just posted a list of feeding necessities on my blog and it brought back so many early day memories....

Aliona19 · 25/02/2019 07:46

@Fox23 haha yeah we got the wheel, not sure about it yet though. She seem to try and spin it, I don’t like the fact that songs are like 2 seconds long. And it says 45 or something but I only heard a few 🤷🏻‍♀️ Cow is looking good. Does it play music any longer?
Is she rolling over? Vicky did once (when I wasn’t even around) and now not interested anymore 🙄 such a lazy ass

Barcelo18 · 25/02/2019 11:32

@aliona19. I’m ok now and recovered quite well from it although it obviously takes it time. It will be 12 weeks this Thursday and I haven’t started exercise again yet due to my lo having reflux, so my priority has been trying to settle or soothe him. Back to the drs today as the rinitadine appears to have stopped working. It’s heartbreaking to hear him screaming and refusing his bottle, I just feel so helpless. Should have been starting a new baby yoga class today but had to cancel as he really wouldn’t have enjoyed it x

Aliona19 · 25/02/2019 12:44

@Barcelo18 😩 Sorry your lo struggling with reflux. Fortunately we didn’t have this problem. She had a little (which was enough to make me upset), but as I am Bf I just had to cut down on cheese and she was fine. Hope it will get sorted soon. Have vaccination in 2 hours 😩😩😩 She is soo happy, it breaks my heart knowing she is gonna be in tears soon

Fox23 · 25/02/2019 13:18

@Aliona19 oh darling, just keep thinking that it's for the best ever reason. I don't think too much about it as there is no point and for Alices sake I don't want to be upset.
Regarding the wheel and the cow- both are very similar but Alice has cracked the idea that hitting it causes music and sounds, so sometimes even before she opens her eyes she whacks the wheel 😂😂😂 so funny!

Aliona19 · 25/02/2019 13:30

@Fox23 I know it’s ridiculous to be upset about it, but I can’t help it.. when she cry’s with real tears, oh god, I just feel so awful..
Fox, you look so familiar 🤣🤣🤣 i don’t undertand why 😅😅

Fox23 · 25/02/2019 14:27

@Aliona19 wow! I don't know why I would look familiar... where do you come from originally?
You know what happened when we went for our first jab? I can't remember if I mentioned this already... my DH started laughing full on! It was his coping mechanism but I ended up with a crying baby and laughing husband! Maybe that's why it was easier for me?
