New thread, perhaps might be useful to all post an update of history and where we're at now?

I've been feeling ok thanks. Feel totally worn out today though. This it's because of a morning of no food! Some weeks I think are passing quickly. This week is a bit slow. Probably because I'm looking forward to scan on Tuesday.
Wow cant believe how close you guys are! I wouldn't be against a sweep if I were you. My GTT was at the new maternity unit near me. It's so nice and relaxed there. The rooms are lovely. Candlelight, fairy lights, double beds, birthing pool, big reclining chairs, a kitchen dads can use. My only concern is it's only midwife led so no doctors and if any complications a blue light ambulance to hospital which is 20 mins away!

Not long till Tuesday! Do you know what you’re having? Can’t remember sorry. Hope you feel better for some food. Have you got the results or do you have to wait?

Birthing unit sounds wonderful! I was really impressed by the facilities at ours. The consultant unit isn’t anywhere near as nice but they have an active birth room they said we can have if it’s not in use.

My apt was good. Bp is a bit high but I was feeling pretty stressy. Had an exam and cervix has changed a bit but I declined a sweep and then she said she couldn’t have done it anyway. The notes say it’s effaced but also “thick”, surely a contradiction... Baby head down and properly engaged, she seemed happy. Said to see how things go and how I’m feeling and then on Wednesday when they call about induction if I don’t want it just to say no thanks but I’ll come in for monitoring. So I’ve calmed down loads after getting into a stew for basically no reason at all. Poor DH when he got in, couldn’t work out why I was freaking out and told me - very kindly - to chill my beans. I have, now eaten buckets of salad and crisps and just going to be calm and wait for things to take their course...

Hello, do you have room for a little one? Please do say if not but I'd love to chat to those who have been through similar and I recognise some names from antenatal threads I've been in (and subsequently had to leave).

I'm currently 5+2 with dc1. Since June I've had a cp at 4w, a cp at 4+5 and a mmc at 6+3 which was discovered at 11+6 and totally devastated me.

Obviously slightly nervous (understating it slightly!) and apprehensive about getting too excited at present.

Of course @jacquesjacques you are most welcome here Smile

I’m sorry for your losses and wish you all the very best with your pregnancy, congratulations and a hand hold. Recurrent losses are soul destroying and it makes such a difference having people to talk to who have been there who can genuinely empathise.

I have never known time go as slowly as in the first few weeks of being pregnant, especially this time. All you can do is keep distracted and take each day as it comes. Keep chatting too x

No we're keeping it a surprise. Do you know? Wont get results til tomorrow. They'll call if its raised, if I don't hear anything it's fine.
Glad your appointment went well. You're so close. Baby will be here soon.
Welcome @jacquesjacques. Congratulations on your pregnancy. @Anne is right. The weeks pass so slowly in early pregnancy. We're here whenever you need to chat x

Thank you so much @AnneLovesGilbert and @Hopefulforourrainbow - it makes it so much easier to have people who understand. I talk to DH and DM but I don't like to worry/bore them with my little daily anxieties and thoughts.

I've buggered my lower back up a bit which sent me into a panic yesterday because I thought the pain was the start of something sinister. However, I think it's actually muscular, as it's only when I move into certain positions rather than the godawful deep ache I had with my second mc. Trying to stay positive when I have these worries and just ride it out.

Nope, decided not to find out and managed not to despite the many many scans Smile

Hoping for no news for you then 🤞🏻

Time is funny at the end too, I’ve been off work nearly 3 weeks and it’s flyinf by but I’ve been having “feelings” since Saturday night and the not going anywhere feeling is making things drag. All of pregnancy is a like a parallel universe timewise.

I had awful back ache and cramps for the first few weeks jacques, things start to move so quickly and it’s a pile of crap that the first trimester is so bloody uncomfortable abs you probably won’t want to tell many people so you don’t get any sympathy! It probably is muscular but if not it might be your back and hips stretching and doing their thing. Go easy on lifting anything heavy and rest when you can.

That’s fab on clear GTT hopeful, and third trimester is massive! How are you feeling? End in sight for work?

After several quite exciting days, we have our baby! Little girl, born yesterday, cute as a button. Totally smitten! Staying in for monitoring and enjoying the rest and getting to know our new daughter.

Oh my goodness! Huge congratulations to you all @Anne. I'm feeling a bit emotional writing this! And another little girl. Wonder if I'll break the cycle and have a boy! How did everything go? Hope you're both doing well. Can you PM me her name?

I have 15 shifts to go! And yes, I'm counting! Lol. Had growth scan yesterday. Measuring just above 10th centile. They seemed happy with everything.

Congratulations @anne. I’m delighted for you.
Obs this afternoon for me for growth scan. Last few days at work then would be very happy to not be pregnant any more!

Hi all. Had my early scan yesterday and all is looking good so far! Little worm is in the right place and the heartbeat was flickering away. Have another booked for 3 weeks time to make sure it's progressing, as my last mmc was after seeing a heartbeat at 6 week scan.

Oh and put back 4 days from 6+1 to 5+4 but considering I likely ovulated on cd17, that seems more accurate.

hi all, hope it Is ok to join this thread.

I am 32 and currently on my 8th pregnancy. my history is:

still birth at 24 weeks in January 2005
had my DD at 37 weeks due to pre eclampsia December 2005
Had my DD full term in june 2008
Had a MMC at 11 weeks baby stopped growing at 8 weeks in October 2014
Had early miscarriage at 4-5 weeks in may 2015
Had DS march 2016 at 38 weeks due to bad SPD
Had a Late MC at 18 weeks in October 2018

I am currently 11 weeks 6 days pregnant had a bleed and pain at 5 weeks and had early scan which showed I was not as far along as I thought and saw heartbeat at 5 weeks 6 days. Then had another early scan due to pain bout 3 weeks later and again dates changed and was 10 weeks but again everything was fine but there is a clot there. Have my 12 week scan on the 2nd of april and I am so anxious about it and wish it was sooner.

Hopefulforourrainbow · 21/03/2019 16:49

@jacques that's great news! Will keep everything crossed for you. I was put back in dates too then put forward at 12 weeks scan and was actually 13 weeks then.

Welcome @fluffyunicorn86. Sorry you've found yourself here. Sounds like you've had a hell of a time. Most of those in this forum have gone on to have their rainbow babies. Theres only a few of us left now! I think I'd be in a psychiatric ward if it wasn't for the amazing ladies here. Are you on any medication? I'm on low dose aspirin and was on progesterone until 13 weeks.

Thank you @Hopwfulforourrainbow I have I am thankful for my 3 beautiful babies I have but never makes a loss any easier. I have 2 rainbow babies so this would be my 3rd hopefully. It really has set my depression off so hoping meeting people will help me a little bit. no just folic acid 5mg. I will be under consultant care which I have been with every pregnancy, under a pre term clinc and also mental health consultant. I will most likely be put on aspirin at my 16 week consultant appointment and then possibly injections aswell I have to do once a day as had to with my son and would have had to do with my son I just lost also.

Hi all, it’s been a while - mumsnet was really stirring up my anxiety so husband blocked it on my computer and phone for the remainder of my pregnancy! But thought I should update the thread with how things worked out for us. My daughter was born 3 weeks ago - NVD, she wasn’t breathing well to start with and had a few days on NICU but home now and doing really well.

Congratulations @paranormalbouquet, @Miami81, @labmum, @AnneLovesGilbert - really pleases for you all, and congratulations/good luck to everyone else. Thanks for all your support during the earlier part of my pregnancy Smile

@Vuduvu what lovely news! Enjoy your gorgeous girl. You've certainly earned her! ThanksThanks

My news is that we've been for our second reassurance scan and there was a lovely wiggly baby, which has now grown some cracking arm and leg buds and still has a strong heartbeat. Absolutely over the moon - am 8+5 and this is the furthest we've ever got to with a live baby. Smile

Hi I’m new to all of this and looking for a bit of support if you don’t mind me joining this thread. A bit about me - I’m currently 11 weeks pregnant my scans on Monday. Me and dh have been trying to conceive for around 5 years in 28 we have had 3 miscarriages and one blighted ovum requiring surgery last year so as you can imagine I’m terrified of absolutely everything. Sorry to ramble I’m just feeling very overwhelmed I think x
