We’ve booked a private scan costing £55. I’ll be 7+4 x

MakeAWhish · 23/11/2018 18:29

@HayleyHaystack welcome! Don't worry about being 35. I'm 39 - will be 40 on the 23rd July, same week baby is due! X

robynclen · 23/11/2018 20:17

Just found out im pregnant last week. Been with my boyfroend for nearly 2 years and live together. We both earn decent money but not married. Terrified of anouncing it to anyone. His family will be really happy but mine wont because we arent married.

Georgeofthejungle · 23/11/2018 20:30

No sickness here yet. Some pains in my lower abdomen so think I’m going to call my midwife on Monday and see if I can get in for an early scan. I’ll be 6 weeks then so should be able to spot something. I’m almost willing the sickness to come on so I will know everything is on track!

I’m 33 so on the older side too but my last pregnancy was pretty flawless so hoping this ones heading the same way.

Georgeofthejungle · 23/11/2018 20:32

robynclen loads of people get married after babies now! We did and haven’t had any negative reactions. You might pleasantly supposed by your family :) x

Georgeofthejungle · 23/11/2018 20:34

*be pleasantly surprised Hmm

MakeAWhish · 23/11/2018 21:06

@Georgeofthejungle 33 isn't on the older side 😁
@robynclen unmarried couple here too! Hope your family are supportive when you tell them x

mumofone25 · 23/11/2018 22:01

Congratulations to all the new BFP’s ☺️ We are also an unmarried couple. I’m 30 and pregant with DC2.

robynclen · 23/11/2018 22:16

Thanks everyone we will find out how it goes in the new year.
Ive been getting waves of nausia but mostly cramps in my lower abdomen. Apparently normal.
Is it usual you dont see a nurse or doctor until you are about 10 weeks?

AJJS89 · 23/11/2018 22:34

Hayleyhaystack.... im also 8+2 and i could have written your post word for word!!!!!!!!

NoParticularPattern · 23/11/2018 23:02

@robynclen my first midwife appointment is at 9 weeks. I think with my daughter it was about 8 and a half weeks but that was just the way it fell. I have booked mine later this tile so it’s not so long between that and the scan hopefully. We aren’t a super busy area round here so scans aren’t usually booked up for ages. Also don’t worry about not being married!! Lots of people do it the other way round (or not at all!!). If I hadn’t miscarriednour first we wouldn’t have been married then either!

I still don’t feel pregnant. Bit headachey and possibly slightly sicky (although I can usually talk myself into feeling sick at the heat of times!) but bugger all else. I know I’ll hate it when the sickness starts but I am so wishing I felt crap so I feel like something is happening! Anyway we go away soon and then it will sharpish be Christmas so I’m hopeful it will go quickly.

HayleyHaystack · 23/11/2018 23:07

Oh that’s brilliant @AJJS89 !

Georgeofthejungle · 23/11/2018 23:15

makeawhish edging on the older side! I’m sure the MW said I was older with my DS and that was almost 3 years ago now. Don’t worry - I’m not writing myself off just yet. Anyway I read somewhere that older parents have more intelligent children HmmGrin Not sure how that works but I’m down for it Halo

AstroKate · 24/11/2018 06:28

Hello ladies! May I join you? I'm not sure if I should be on July or Aug thread!

This is our first time TTC and first positive... I am struggling to understand all the 5+2s etc and not sure when my due date would be or what week I'm in-help!

I'm a kidney transplant recipient so hospital will do an 8week scan but no idea when this might be and trying to work out if it'll be before Xmas (would be great!)

Can anyone help? 1st day of last cycle was 22/10 and my usual cycle is 24 days. We got the attached test Wednesday so does this mean I'm 2 weeks pregnant?

Help! (And congrats to all on here!)

Hi AstroKate

I think you are in the right place... you are 4wks+5days :) Congratulations 😁 They start your term from the first day of your last period. There are lots of apps and websites you can put your info in to which will tell you your due date.

I’m new to the thread too. 5+5 with number 2! Xx

GabbyGal · 24/11/2018 08:53

Also unmarried over here 🙋🏻‍♀️, I’m 34 and partner is almost 39 so we didn’t want to wait to get married. My parents weren’t married having me so they won’t care, they’ll just be over the moon to be first time grandparents, I can’t wait to tell them. His parents are really old fashioned but I’m pretty sure they’ll be happy for us. I don’t really care if they’re not, that’s their problem!

Winona1 · 24/11/2018 10:23

Morning everyone. Should I be worried? I feel nauseous & having aversions to food still but my boobs are nowhere near as sore. Has anyone else experienced this ?

AJJS89 · 24/11/2018 10:44

Hayleyhaystack... everything you have been experiencing, i have too... especially the irritability! i dont know how i (my partner) am going to cope. Hoping it passes after 12 or so weeks as i do not remember being like this with my other two

AstroKate · 24/11/2018 11:11

Thanks so much @Georgeofthejungle , I was assuming the clearblue test was saying I was 2 weeks pregnant and I was working out 40 weeks from this week-I am clearly useless!! So tentative due date 27th July which puts me in the right place.

@Winona1 , I feel seriously under qualified to put you at ease as this is my first time navigating through this but reading all the posts suggests everyone is experiencing different things at different stages. I feel quite nauseous in the afternoons but not a bit of boob tenderness. Also real bloatedness. But yesterday all symptoms had disappeared-and today they're back again!! I would try not to let it worry you...

Giraffe888 · 24/11/2018 11:24

@Winona1 I don’t think you need to worry. Symptoms can come and go and it’s very common x

MrsC87 · 24/11/2018 13:41

So 6 weeks today and the sickness has hit me 🤢😫

Georgeofthejungle · 24/11/2018 15:33

Winona1 is this your first? I remember reading something saying that boob tenderness is less with subsequent babies as all the hard work was done the first time. Not sure how accurate that is.

astrokate I would have done the same if I’d not have put it in my app!

Still no sickness here but feeling knackered. My sickness kicked in wk7 with DS1 but a few things different with this one so far. I like think it’s because this ones a wee girl 😊

mumofone25 · 24/11/2018 16:33

I also don’t have tender boobs so far! Just sickness and bloated

ReginaPhalange89 · 24/11/2018 16:37

I'm on my 3rd pregnancy and have never experienced tender breasts ! I don't think everyone gets the same symptom, some don't get morning sickness either !

Anyone had much cramping? I'm 4+5 today and loads of cramping going on, sometimes feels like I've got an upset stomach more than anything. I should remember since it's the 3rd but I can't remember if I had this last time or not 🙈

mumofone25 · 24/11/2018 17:08

@Reginaphalange89 I’ve neen having some cramping and occasional pains. Not every day tho.
