Hello, I'm new to Mumsnet... still figuring it out... but we have just found out we are expecting a little bundle of joy in July... so thought I'd reach out to other mums expecting then too... xxx

With the digitals - 1-2 weeks is perfect if your lmp was 3-4 weeks ago. It means 1-2 weeks since conception, so 3-4 weeks pregnant xx

ReginaPhalange89 · 19/11/2018 07:02

Yeah I think conception was less than 2 weeks ago so hopefully 1-2 weeks is right, I've got another to take so I'll do that maybe the end of this week just to see the progression to 2-3! It's so hard not to poas every day 🙈

I'm going to call my GP practice and find out how to book my first appt. It used to just be in there but I think it's changed since my last pregnancy

mumofone25 · 19/11/2018 09:49

Yes that’s how it’s worked out by the clear blue digitals I think. I worked out my due date for when I ovulated and today I’m 4+5 and EDD is 24/7/19 ☺️. Anybody else bloated? Metallic taste and nausea today too 🤞

Delilah7 · 19/11/2018 10:28

Has anyone had a stitch like pain their ribs on one side or near boob?

Winona1 · 19/11/2018 20:27

Hi @Delilah7 how were your bloods? Hope ur doing ok! I haven't had a stitch so to speak - nipples are like knives though 😂 xx

Delilah7 · 19/11/2018 20:28

@Winona1 they went ok. Results back on Wednesday. I think it's wind. Doctors weren't too worried so! Xx

NoParticularPattern · 19/11/2018 20:49

Delilah I have horrid trapped wind and it’s right around my middle/under my ribs. It’s all bubbling round (but not bloody coming out!!) and is quite painful by the end of the day. It feels exactly like how I felt my daughter kicking in the early days. It’s very weird but I can totally see why second time round you feel movement earlier- you know what you’re looking for and don’t just write it off as gas 😂

Nothing to report here. No symptoms really, boobs may be sore but still feeding my daughter and she’s taken to grabbing handfuls of boob when she wants it so that could well be from her. No sickness/nausea yet but I didn’t get any of that until 6-7 weeks with DD and didn’t start actually being sick until 9-10 weeks. Lots of cramping and pulling going on so hopefully that means things are heading in the right direction!!

I’m currently trying to stop myself testing every day. I did this with DD and it’s just a waste. I know that testing every day isn’t going to change the outcome of this pregnancy and logically there’s absolutely no reason why this pregnancy won’t end the same as DD rather than the MC two years ago. Time has slowed to a crawl but I think that’s pretty standard when you’re analysing every twinge and non-symptom. What will be will be I suppose and no amount of worry, testing or symptom spotting is going to change that. I just have to sit tight and not live my life crossing the days off. Hopefully going on hols next week will take my mind off it!!

NoParticularPattern · 19/11/2018 20:50

Also RE: the trapped wind. I had it horribly both times I have been pregnant so it’s definitely a thing. I remember spending lots of time laid on my left side with my knees up trying to get it to give over. Nothing I took for it helped either!!

Winona1 · 19/11/2018 20:59

@NoParticularPattern I've done 2 tests which were very clearly positive but i feel like I should do more, I'm worried hgc levels have dropped and want to check im still pregnant before my scan - sounds so silly doesn't it!! I just don't feel pregnant but what does pregnant feel like at only 5 wks??

ReginaPhalange89 · 19/11/2018 21:20

@Winona1 I don't feel pregnant yet either ! I'm only 4 weeks but found out a few days ago! I didn't have any symptoms just tested because I was 9dpo . Still haven't had any. Sickness didn't start til about 6/7 weeks with my previous pregnancies. I think til then I probably won't feel pregnant!

Flyfisherlady · 20/11/2018 06:59

Mistyped my due date which is actually 24th July. So I’m almost 5 weeks gone. I feel like I’m on a boat. Feel so woozy.

Delilah7 · 20/11/2018 07:18

@NoParticularPattern I do wonder if it is that. I feel ok this morning but morning sickness without the sickness has defo kicked in. Most mornings I heave and gag and just have such a watery mouth 😂

MakeAWhish · 20/11/2018 07:19

I forgot how slowly this bit goes... 4w2d but AF not even due til tomorrow. I 'feel' pregnant but can't put my finger on why.

ReginaPhalange89 · 20/11/2018 07:23

@MakeaWhish same! Period not due till tomorrow either ! No symptoms. Nervous AF will show even though I've had really strong positives lol

NoParticularPattern · 20/11/2018 08:43

winona I know what you mean!! I don’t feel pregnant either. Although I was wracking my brains last night as to what I felt like with DD and I don’t think I reliably felt terrible until about 7 weeks with her. And even then I wasn’t sick often, just really felt it. I think it was probably at its worst between 8-11 weeks and 3 weeks either side of that I felt a bit grim but was capable of functioning. I didn’t find out til 5 weeks with my daughter though so I only had a week or so of waiting to feel rubbish! I think I will feel somewhat reassured that I’m not making it up once I feel a bit naff.

delilah my wind seems to ease off overnight and then during the day comes back to haunt me. I’m definitely bloated by 4pm and my jeans are too tight compared to the morning. I remember the watery mouth well. When I was pregnant with my daughter I remember a stretch of a couple of days where I couldn’t brush my teeth because every time I put the brush in my mouth I got that watery mouth “oh crap I’m going to be sick” thing and then it’s a bit pointless brushing your teeth if you end up being sick after 😂😂. I sometimes feel like I feel nauseous but I’m notorious for talking myself into feeling sick. I’m really hoping it doesn’t cripple me like last time- I know people get it a lot worse than just constant nausea but I just couldn’t function last time. Hopefully DD takes my mind off it this time.

Winona1 · 20/11/2018 16:13

Glad I'm not the only one @NoParticularPattern I have app tomorrow at docs as I'm sure I have a chest infection so tempted to ask for bloods done to confirm the pregnancy.. I sound mad but I just don't believe it yet x

NoParticularPattern · 20/11/2018 22:19

@Winona1 no definitely not alone. I had my doctor do repeat HCG bloods when I was pregnant with my daughter. She didn’t want to because there was no reason to, but I had a full on snot bubbles melt down in front of her so I think she just agreed so I’d stop using all her tissues. Being pregnant after a MC is nerve wracking so I blame that. This time I’m trying to be much more calm about it all but time is going SO SLOWLY. I swear I got to 12 weeks faster than this last time. Although I Hope once we get to be on holiday and then Christmas, new year etc it will all fly. Hah. I hope.

WishingonaStar77 · 20/11/2018 23:43

Hi all, can I join? I got my clear BFP on Sat and last month was a chemical. Going by the date of my chemical miscarriage I'm due 31/07/19
Got slightly tender boobs but lots of tummy twinges and pulls.
This is my 5th attempt at baby #1 after 4 previous miscarriages..
Very nervous times.. hope this is a lucky thread! So nice to see all these summer babies x

MakeAWhish · 21/11/2018 04:30

Omg. I'm unable to go through the night without a wee these past 3 nights! This need to wee a lot passes after a while doesn't it.... until it comes back in the later stages? Pregnancy number 3 for me but the other two were 10 and 7 years ago so I've forgotten a lot!

MrsC87 · 21/11/2018 07:00

@MakeAWhish I am exactly the same, up about 5 times in the night, exhausted! I keep worrying I've got a water infection on the way!

MakeAWhish · 21/11/2018 07:53

Oh, I didn't think of that @MrsC87 ! I hope you're not. I'm only up once in the night around 4am but find it hard to get back to sleep xx

MrsC87 · 21/11/2018 08:06

I've no pain when peeing so will keep an eye on it today. I'll up my fluids too @MakeAWhish

MakeAWhish · 21/11/2018 08:08

Good idea. All these things we need to worry about already 😩😂

keepploddingalong · 21/11/2018 08:15

Yay congratulations to everyone!! My estimated due date is on the 26th of July .....also my husbands 30th birthday 🎂 🤣

Livingthedream89 · 21/11/2018 08:34

@MakeAWhish i am exactly the same i am weeing at least twice during the night. We have two kittens and as soon as they hear me in the bathroom are clawing at the doors to get in!
