@kirstycrafts I'm hoping to take the full 12 months. I'm hoping to finish at the end of June and use 4 weeks holiday first. Unfortunately I have never carried to full term so the last two times I have had the babies before I started even holiday/maternity leave ( luckily all okay and got to spend more time with them mind )

BeckyButterfly · 09/01/2019 21:23

KinCat, I have the same due date! 22nd of July 😊

Mayjane5 · 09/01/2019 21:52

@Loujonesy I’ve got avormine, I took one this evening felt better so ate then felt sick again, maybe I should cut out evening eating? I’ll see how I feel in morning

BeckyButterfly · 09/01/2019 22:19

I nearly ended up in earlier this week because of my sickness. On Monday I kept nothing down and could barely walk up the stairs! I was given liquid anti-sickness stuff because I couldn’t keep the tablets down and that seems to be helping. I just feel exhausted but keep hoping it is a sign that everything is developing as it should be in there!

BeckyButterfly · 09/01/2019 22:20

I missed the word hospital out of my previous post. I nearly ended up in hospital that was supposed to say!

Loujonesy · 10/01/2019 07:29

@BeckyButterfly @Mayjane5 I ended up in a and e this time. Admitted last pregnancy. I have never been as exhausted as I have this time round. I haven't tried that sickness tablet tbh as I'm on cyclizine and ondansetron this time. But I'm no where near as bad now. It's eased lots x

BeckyButterfly · 10/01/2019 12:11

@Loujonesy I’m pleased to hear you are feeling better. It’s a horrible feeling being so sick with pregnancy. A lot of people at work just thought I was being dramatic and kept saying stuff like “if you think this is hard, wait until you’re a mum!” Which just isn’t very helpful I must admit. It’s comforting to hear that other people are having similar experiences although I wouldn’t wish it upon anybody!

Bunnybaubles · 10/01/2019 12:20

I've been really lucky this time around, I've only felt sick which isn't as bad now.
But I had severe vomiting with my first pregnancy, the whole way through, even in the labour ward , all over the midwife lol, so I sympathise with yous so much!! I really hope it eases off as you all move into the 2nd trimester! Hugs!! x

BeckyButterfly · 10/01/2019 12:23

@Bunnybaubles that made me smile. I don’t imagine it was a first for a midwife to be vomited on though!
My sickness seems to have eased today, I haven’t needed to take my anti sickness stuff which is good because I don’t really like taking it.

Bunnybaubles · 10/01/2019 12:43

@BeckyButterfly I'm glad it made you smile, midwife wasn't smiling tho. Awww her poor shoes 😁
The only time during that pregnancy I was given tablets to stop me vomiting was when I caught the sickness and diahreea bug... just couldn't catch a break 😂
That's good news it's eased for you, hopefully that's it starting to go now, I've read a lot of our rubbish symptoms have started to ease off 🤞

Jummynbean · 10/01/2019 18:00

@kirstycrafts, I'm going to try and take off as little time as possible before hand. I have booked 2 weeks holiday in Feb to get things sorted around the house, so that's the plan (fingers crossed).

@Bunnybaubles have to been to the doctor's about it? Also thanks for backing my brogan corner 😉

Porridgeprincess · 11/01/2019 11:31

I had my 12 week scan and booking appointment and all went really well thankfully. I even gained a few days as I am 12+5 as opposed to 12+2.. these things matter

Gosh the vomiting on the midwife, poor EVERYONE in that scenario !

Jummynbean · 11/01/2019 12:35

@Porridgeprincess brilliant news! I'm 12+2 today, so does that make your due date the 20th?

Porridgeprincess · 11/01/2019 12:38

The 21st July was what the chart says here so not sure where the few days are disappearing to !

Jummynbean · 11/01/2019 13:45

Ah well, it's not like it's an exact science!

GabbyGal · 11/01/2019 14:30

@Porridgeprincess that’s great news!

Bunnybaubles · 13/01/2019 21:34

Well I had my first proper bout of morning sickness this afternoon. Aww it was awful!!

I know its nothing compared to what some of you lovely ladies are going through, i guess i'm just devastated because I thought I was getting away with just feeling sick, not actually being sick, especially being over 12 weeks now.

@Jummynbean being sick all over the midwife happened in my first pregnancy. I had horrific vomiting all the way through. You're welcome about the Brogan thing 😉 But I genuinely thought it was a girls name, only know girls called Brogan 😊

BeckyButterfly · 14/01/2019 00:08

I’m really enjoying the chats I’m in on this site, it is nice to hear people’s stories. The only issue I have is that there are a lot of acronyms used which I really can’t figure out!! Haha. I am rubbish when it’s comes to shortened/text speak but everyone else seems to know what they mean automatically. I’m blaming baby brain...!

Mrsmummy90 · 14/01/2019 06:10

@BeckyButterfly if you google it, there are lists of what it all means :)

Loujonesy · 14/01/2019 07:47

Hit 12 weeks and the nauseous is worse than it has been 😞. Got scan tomorrow. Totally worried about it. Really nervous. Anyone else struggling with bleeding gums. Use an electric brush if that makes a difference. 😁

MissKatyKat · 14/01/2019 10:02

Hope you feel better soon @Loujonesy
12 weeks today and although I'm feeling pretty good in myself I already have a very noticeable bump and a student midwife friend took one look at me last night and said she's sure it twins, so I could potentially have three children under 1 year old by July! Not quite sure how I'm feeling about this, but trying not to think too much about it until we know for sure one way or the other at the scan on Thursday.

BeckyButterfly · 14/01/2019 10:24

Thanks @Mrsmummy90 I will do that 😊

GabbyGal · 14/01/2019 11:07

I had some bleeding yesterday, got an awful fright. Called the hospital and since it wasn’t too heavy they told me to go to A&E this morning to have my Rhesus factor checked in case I need Anti D because I’m over 12 weeks. Still waiting on that but everything looks fine, they did a quick scan and baby was kicking like mad, such a relief. Still have my appointment with the midwife tomorrow for my 12 week scan so will get to see baby again Smile

Loujonesy · 14/01/2019 13:19

@MissKatyKat my last pregnancy was twins so I think I'm a little scared about my scan tomorrow. Confused

Porridgeprincess · 14/01/2019 14:23

Oh Gabbygal glad to hear all was ok !! There are so many thing you are not aware of before you are pregnant.

I have finally cracked (fingers crossed) the constipation cycle.

A bowl of this in the morning
www.lizis.co.uk/lizis-granola-c1/lizis-granola-original-granola-p1
With a nice glass of OJ and hot water in lemon. Started this last week and thankfully had gone each day. Sorry that is TMI for many but I know lots of women suffer with constipation and sluggishness.

I am a little bit roundy today it seems. My coworkers said my face is rounded and i have my top button of pants open. I think it might be another bloat which will go down again as I am only 13 weeks but who knows.
