I was really boring when I told DH. I just came bouncing down the stairs and asked if he was in for dinner and had he brought anyone in. He said no so I fished the test out of my bra and showed him 😂

Flyfisherlady · 26/11/2018 19:59

@MayJane5. My DH was actually there when We did the test. I was pretty sure as more than a week late. I peed into a cup and dipped the stick. Lovely moment when the digi read Pregnant! However, now I have written it, it’s actually super gross! But it was a lovey moment.

Giraffe888 · 26/11/2018 20:06

@mayjane5 congratulations! My DH was also with me when I did my test x

Mayjane5 · 26/11/2018 20:11

Hi everyone thanks for replying, i was waiting for auntie flo to arrive then thought I had the dates wrong so waited a few more finally got a test today. My DP is working nights now so I only see him a few mins each day not really time to tell him till the weekend. Was thinking of involving my little one somehow maybe a big sister t shirt?

GabbyGal · 26/11/2018 20:55

@Mayjane5 What a lovely idea! I was boring too, I’d got 3 BFNs already and was only doing another test to be sure I wasn’t pregnant because we were going to a wedding that day and I would have had a few drinks. Hadn’t said anything to DP. Low and behold BFP! So in shock I woke DP up to tell him and then ran out the door to get my hair done 😂

ReginaPhalange89 · 26/11/2018 21:06

I took a test on our anniversary, expecting it to be negative as I was only 9dpo but I thought it'd be a cute day to find out ! I couldn't believe it was a bfp. He was asleep after nightshift, so I wrapped it up in a box and when he got up I gave it to him and said Happy Anniversary! :)

Mayjane5 · 26/11/2018 21:25

What a lovely anniversary!! I’m also a little nervous second time round knowing what’s coming over the next few months is making me anxious, I already feel tired/bloated and sick Confused

Delilah7 · 27/11/2018 08:43

Can I ask you guys something? I've been sick multiple times each day from Friday. Finally took the day off work today and my boss is blunt as fuck about it. They know I'm pregnant yet it's always a worse reaction when I'm unwell than anyone else... can they physically do anything? I've only had today off so far and I'm 8 weeks today. But sickness is really really kicking in and ramping up!

bemybabe · 27/11/2018 11:49

@Delilah7 I’m sorry to hear you are so unwell. Your employer cannot do anything provided you comply with your employment contract and employee handbook regarding notifying sickness to a line manager/HR. Presumably you have a number of days that you can self certify as sick before you need a note from a doctor. Just make sure you do everything by the book. Are you able to do some work from home during times where the sickness eases a bit? That might keep them quiet.
At the end of the day, try not to worry about work. You and your bean are top priority right now. Smile

Mayjane5 · 27/11/2018 18:09

How do you tag another person on here to reply? Is there a button or do I just type the name? New to this ☺️ @Delilah7 as long as you follow company procedure re notification of sick days. Could you ask for flexible hours maybe start later if sickness worse in morning? Have you got an hr department you could talk too?

ReginaPhalange89 · 27/11/2018 18:17

To tag someone you just write @ and there username ! I think you've just done it

Blondie2005 · 27/11/2018 19:18

Been abit worried today because I’ve had a back ache. But just took another clear blue test and today it says pregnant 3+. When I took one last Wednesday it said 2-3. So I’m hoping everything is ok 🤞🏻

Poppykin · 27/11/2018 20:16

@blondie2005 I’ve had everything ache! I think it’s normal Smile

Blondie2005 · 27/11/2018 21:04

Thanks @PoppyKin. I’m just such a worrier anyway and especially anxious at the moment.

Flyfisherlady · 27/11/2018 21:41

I worry about everything. If I stop feeling dizzy or my
Boobs stop hurting I panic thinking it’s all stopped. Hanging on til midwife appointment and scan in January!

Mayjane5 · 27/11/2018 21:55

Yes exactly I think I will feel better after the 8 week mark! How many children does everyone have? Or is it firsts? I have a nearly 4 year old

WishingonaStar77 · 27/11/2018 21:57

@Delilah7 pregnancy and maternity is a protected characteristic under the equality act 2010. Under The Equality Act 2010, it is unlawful to discriminate, or treat workers unfavourably because of their pregnancy or pregnancy-related illness.
If you are genuinely Ill and have all the correct FIT notes (if absent over 7 days) they cannot do anything this early on in pregnancy x

mimixvx · 28/11/2018 05:05

Hi all,
I'm expecting 9th July! Congrats all :-) x

mimixvx · 28/11/2018 05:06

@Delilah7 I'm due the same day! Hope everything goes well x

GabbyGal · 28/11/2018 08:24

@Mayjane5 I’m the same, I’ve been worrying all week because I’m so close to 8 weeks, will be 8 weeks tomorrow.
This is my first pregnancy.

Porridgeprincess · 28/11/2018 10:09

Guys, it is so nice to read here and see people further along reply with assurances.

I wore what was like a teenagers crop top to bed last night and omg, my sleep was so much better as the bursty melons felt much more comfortable. I hate wearing bras to bed but this was a soft cotton thing.

Giraffe888 · 28/11/2018 12:24

I’m 5+1, due 30th July. Those that have been bloated, at what stage did it stop? X

Lubilu28 · 28/11/2018 12:27

Hi, joining in 2nd baby due 15th July 😍!!

Found out really early (3 weeks, 3days) and I’ve had nausea almost everyday but now it’s almost all day everyday 😫!! Trying to manage it like I did with my first but sometimes nothing helps 😔!

I have a reassurance scan booked for Friday so I can keep my mind at rest that there is actually a little bean in there, and also to make sure there is only 1 haha xxx

Blondie2005 · 28/11/2018 12:29

So I went back to the Drs today for my HCG blood test results that I had taken last week. At the time of my blood test I was 4+5 since my LMP. The HCG levels were 901 so I’m hoping that means it’s all good. Been prescribed half an aspirin to take daily as well.

Jess9420 · 28/11/2018 13:29

Hi all, im due June 2019. I had a bleed at 5 weeks so had an early scan, which was all fine. 12 week scan is on the 12th December. Just wanting some advice off other mums to be.. im absolutely terrified about this next scan, worrying that everything will be ok, i get the odd pain and discharge (sorry if Tmi) but lost all morning sickness. Anyone else worried about their scans? X
