@Bobbielee91 fingers crossed this works for you! I'm on day 2 of losing mucus plug and each bit I see the more I feel sick 😳

I was due on the 21st & still pregnant 😭

Bobbielee91 · 24/10/2018 18:43

Midwife said I had already lost my plug.

I’ve had a bath but nothing happening yet. Just had some pineapple lol - anyone would think that I was desperate to give birth lol x

Babyboymama · 24/10/2018 23:01

@Markgirl1995 I’m almost certain my little boy isn’t going anywhere until they induce me on Friday! Not much longer now though!!

@Bobbielee91 I’ve tried pineapple too - ate so much I made myself feel sick 😂

And @universe00 hang on in there! I’m 8 days overdue now but I’ve kept myself really busy so it’s gone a lot quicker than I thought it would!

Hi. I really need some help. I had my last normal period in the last week of August. I was raped on the tenth of September and missed my period. I'm due my period this week but it's only little bits (not even worth using anything) I've done tests and they've come back negative. The spotting happened for a day, went away for two days, came back today for a few hours then went again. I don't really want to bother a dr as I'm thinking it just might be stress. Any advice is appreciated xx

Markygirl1995 · 25/10/2018 07:45

@Bobbielee91 I think it's got to the point where we all are sick of being pregnant now! 😂😂 try long walks if you can do it!

@Babyboymama same here can't believe we've both got our inductions Friday! What time are you going in for yours?

OP posts:
Markygirl1995 · 25/10/2018 07:47

@Milesy351 wait a couple of days and do another test. It's probably where you're thinking about it so much that it's delaying your period. I used to do that to myself when I was hoping I was pregnant when I wasn't. Make sure you could back from your last monthly period too as sometime I forgot that I'd be due for another week!

@Markygirl1995 I can barely walk around my house by this point. I always assumed it was the ladies who had really big bumps who struggled with walking - turns out I was wrong lol.

Nothing happened over night, stomach keeps tightening and feeling uncomfortable but that’s it.

My OH has just left for work - I’m scared incase I do go into labour when home alone. Luckily he only works 15 mins away!x

Bobbielee91 · 25/10/2018 08:38

@Mtjts85 That’s terrible - I hope you are okay after such a shocking ordeal!

I would visit a doctor if I was you.. not only to resolve the potential pregnancy issue but also for an STI check too. Sad

Sending hugsFlowers

Did anyone's sweep work ? I'm due to have one today but really don't want too, I'm getting induced Saturday so might just leave the sweep :/

Babyboymama · 25/10/2018 09:13

@Markygirl1995 I know it’s nice having someone going through the same things at the same time! Both having boys too! They haven’t given me a time to go in the midwife has just said I’ll get a phone call at any time on Friday asking me to go in. I think they do it depending on how busy they are.

@universe00 mine hasn’t done a thing apart from making me bleed slightly yesterday. If I’d have known I was getting induced on Friday I wouldn’t have bothered with it but they had told me I was getting induced on Sunday originally and didn’t tell me it had changed until after!

Markygirl1995 · 25/10/2018 09:37

@Babyboymama hospital must do it differently! I've got mine booked in for 10am so I'll keep you updated with how it goes. I've read some stories and it's not as bad as what everyone makes it out to be!

OP posts:
Babyboymama · 25/10/2018 11:33

@Markygirl1995 yes definitely keep me updated!! Hopefully it all goes well for both of us! I wish I’d been given a time too, I’ve got a feeling I’ll still be sat waiting for a phone call at 8pm 🙈

SelinaMyers · 25/10/2018 12:09

Thinking of you girls and those babies! Hope all sweeps and inductions go well!

Markygirl1995 · 25/10/2018 13:36

@Babyboymama I will do :) hopefully it won't be late and will be early like mine so you have all day for your body to get into labour mode!

OP posts:
universe00 · 25/10/2018 19:41

My hospital have told me any time Saturday which is annoying would much rather just have a time, do you normally have to stay over night when your induced ? I'm so worried! Hopefully it's ok the morning

Markygirl1995 · 25/10/2018 20:05

@universe00 my hospital are probably going to pop the pessary in me and then let me go home after an hour they said they'll contact me back in 24hours after it being done to come back and try another method if it doesn't work x

Evening ladies.

I have been having what I think are contractions all day following my sweep yesterday.

I ended up calling MAU as with being a FTM, I am seriously in the dark with what to expect. I had a rock hard bump accompanied by period pains this morning and then shortly after had some gross looking discharge. They just advised that it sounded as though labour was starting and to monitor it!

Baby is awake now and wiggling around like a mad man, I am getting pains in my back, bum and hips but still don’t know if this is what is supposed to happen.

I hate not knowing 😩

universe00 · 25/10/2018 20:30

Sounds like your in early/slow labour I was in this for 3 days with my first had irregular on off contractions and the discharge sounds this your show which normally indicates labour is on the way, good luck !! try and rest until contractions get intense x

universe00 · 25/10/2018 20:30

@Bobbielee91

^^

universe00 · 25/10/2018 20:43

@Markygirl1995 thank you for your reply. I think my hospital mentioned monitoring me on a ward after they start me off until I go into active labour so I'm guessing I'll be in hospital a while 👎🏽

Markygirl1995 · 25/10/2018 22:12

@universe00 I'll let you know how I get on tomorrow and what happens it's probably different for different hospitals and areas!

@Markygirl1995 thank you, good luck Xxx

YorkshireBee · 25/10/2018 22:37

Jumping in on this thread as I’ve just passed 40 weeks and think I might be starting to see some signs, but not sure! I’ve been having irregular cramps feelings really low in my pelvis, feeling like there’s pressure in my bum and lower back. However, no tightening across the bump higher up, so I’m not sure... Guess we’ll see if things develop overnight or all back to normal by the morning!
Good luck PP, hope things start happening for you all soon.

MinisterforCheekyFuckery · 26/10/2018 09:19

Can I join? 40+1 today. Been having strong Braxton Hicks, cramps and period type pains every day for over two weeks...keep thinking "this is it" but then it fizzles out. Walking is getting so uncomfortable, feel like I've got a bowling ball between my legs and keep getting shooting pains in the top of my legs/thighs. I'm booked in for an ELCS at 41 weeks (Consultant didn't want me going too far overdue as baby is big), hadn't really anticipated it actually happening as I just sort of assumed he'd come on his own before then but maybe not.

Woken up today with period type pains but don't want to get my hopes up!

Congratulations to those who have had your lovely babies and good luck to those due to be induced Flowers
