Overdue club

I'm officially a day over due and just want my baby here! Signs and symptoms comes and goes is anyone over due? FTM too so not
Sure what to expect

I was due on the 8th so I’m 11 days over now and thoroughly fed up. Had three stretch & sweeps which have achieved absolutely nothing, and have been 3-4cm dilated for over week now... but not a single solitary contraction. This is baby no3 and the other two were 8 days late and 12 days late. I’m booked for induction on Sunday.

The idea of going into labour spontaneously has taken on an air of total unreality. I’ve also found it difficult being overdue last week as it was baby loss awareness week and my social media feeds have seemed full of stories about stillbirth

@Dorothy I’ve been the same. Every post has made me feel sick to my stomach. Just want her out now.

Got my first sweep (hopefully only) on Monday and booked in for an induction if all fails on the 29th! @DorothyBastard the still birth scares me there was a documentary on about it last night refused to watch it

I had my second sweep today. Not even a cm dilated. @Marky best of luck with yours and fingers crossed special arrival arrives over the weekend x

@SelinaMyers did they still do a sweep at 0cm then? I am not overdue but booked for induction on 29th and worried I will be 0cm and have a horrendous experience. what did they say/suggest?

@SelinaMyers oh no!!! Hopefully that'll change for you soon! How far gone are you now? I'm hoping it'll work but I've got the worst luck 😂🤞🏻

Evening everyone! The sweep turned more into an examation. The cervix has moved into position and is the tiniest bit open.
I’m 40+2 so she’s not super late- you’re just counting down to that one day for so long aren’t you and then nothing.
CTG show she’s perfectly happy!

I’m booked in for a sweep on Wednesday and induction on the 28th if baby still isn’t here!
@Marky will be interesting to see if we both end up getting induced as everything is happening at similar times for us!

@Babyboymama you'll have to keep posted as it would be interesting to find out haha either way hopefully our babies will be here soon xx

So I’m 13 days over now and today’s the day to be induced. I need to phone the ward at 8am to find out what time to head in. I’m so hugely nervous, this feels really different from my last two spontaneous births.

@DorothyBastard I doubt you’re checking your phone right now but if you are how’s it going? Exciting times!!

I was due on the 20th and will be a FTM.

I have had so many signs that labour could well and truly be on the way but it’s been happening for days now and still nothing!

Next midwife appointment on Wednesday so hopefully I can get a sweep or atleast some information as to what is happening in there lol.

I was given a pessary at 10.30am. Started getting a few period pains about 1pm. Started ramping up into contractions about 6.30pm. Was examined again at 7.30pm and was still only 4cm but contractions were coming thick and fast. Walked down to labour ward and barely got my knickers off before DD was born at 8.02pm! Hale and hearty! We’re home with her now already

@Babyboymama how are you getting on? I have my sweep today I'll let you know how it goes hoping it'll work for me touch wood and have my boy in arms by Wednesday latest!

@Markygirl1995 all still the same with me! Was having very mild pains last night and got excited thinking that might have been the start of something but they’ve gone this morning! I’m convinced I’m going to be induced because this baby seems way too comfy.
I hope it all goes well for you - keep me updated! I’ll keep my fingers crossed!

@Babyboymama had my sweep, achy food glad I went because I've got to go to hospital for checks to see if I have pre eclampsia as they have found high protein in wee, mild oedema, high blood pressure also baby heartbeat was a bit slow so could have baby tomorrow

@Babyboymama no induction everything turned out to be better ok in the end thank goodness! Brought my induction date early though to Friday getting so impatient!

@Markygirl1995 that’s great to hear! I’ve been to see midwife this morning and she did a sweep, very uncomfortable so glad I won’t be having another!
My induction date has also been brought forward to Friday too!!

@Babyboymama no way!! Let's get these babies out!! My sweep was very intense stretching and sweeping I could have punched her but the worse it was the beneficial it was for me. I have to admit I've been losing my plug now for the last 2 days but I need this baby out ASAP so Friday latest if he doesn't appear before then he's coming out the hard way 😂😂

I had my first sweep today - feedback from midwife was very good; baby is super low and cervix already opening.

Having a lie down now as I have back ache and abdominal tightenings. Fingers crossed this works!
