Sharp pains at 39+5 😬

For the past 4 weeks I’ve been having regular Braxton Hicks some 6 minutes apart...this is baby no3 but my eldest are 10 and 8 so it’s been a while since my last baby.

Last night I was having windy type pains in my tummy and tightenings. I’ve lost my mucus plug and at my last check up 2cm dilated but able to stretch to 4cm...I’m having contractions regularly today but not very painful! I know baby will be here any minute but it’s so frustrating not knowing how long I’m going to feel like this 😩 so excited to meet my baby girl!
I’m currently eating a whole pineapple bouncing on my ball 😂😂😂 anyone else bored with the wait?? Xxxx

s2204 hand expressing is tricky and some people do not really get any colostrum out until baby is here.

But there will be some videos on how to hand express/harvest colostrum on you tube if you wanted to take a look.

Any news from anybody? Another night for me of regular pains that stopped by morning That’s about two weeks of it now!

No news here - my cramps are back (they'd gone) but I think it's because baby is back to back, rather than labour. In other news I have a sweep booked for Saturday.

I hope Debbie is ok, it's been a while since we've heard from her.

Ugh Rowena I thought mid morning that things were ramping up a bit. Much more frequent tightenings and was feeling a bit odd, shakey and full of adrenaline, but eased off by mid afternoon.
It must have been the exposure to lots of newborns at the feeding group.

Finally getting a tiny bit of pressure here. Feel sick all day but that is nothing new at all.
Im going to have news one way or the other this week.

How is everyone today?

39+3 here. I feel HIDEOUS. I feel like I'm about vomit and can hardly keep my eyes open. Back cramps are persisting but not contractions yet. My thighs are throbbing which is new for me. Have set my toddler up with a whole living room full of happyland so I can lie on the sofa and not move....

Hi Can i join! Im 38+4 with my first and the struggle has hit! We brought our first home and moved in over the weekend, we both have horrendous colds and are trying to decorate. I cannot sleep as i am aching down below so wake up everytime i turn. Need a wee every 10 mins so wake up for that, then my blocked nose stops me from falling back to sleep! I am waddling around like a penguin and still have no microwave, tumbler, hoover, kitchen utensils etc etc the list goes on... also blocked my bank card because i forgot my pin, which has now miraculously re-entered my brain so need to find a specific halifax cash machine to reset it ! Oh and havent brushed my hair for days just want to hide in a dark room

40+2 today. I am irrationally annoyed at feeling totally fine. No pain, no cramps, feel really really well. And it's making me angry as surely I'd feel a lot worse if labour was imminent?!
The worst thing is the constant stream of texts and phone calls! In hindsight I should definitely have lied to people about my due date! 🙈

No progress from me! Feel like all my symptoms have completely disappeared and apart from having a beach ball for a belly and needing to pee every 10minutes I don’t feel pregnant! I’m hoping someone’s going to say “ooo yeah you always feel fresh and energized leading up to impending labour” 😂 but I’ve not heard that one yet! Still walking... I mean waddling around the park every day! Been drinking tonic water all yesterday cause aparently the quinine makes your uterus contract! Midwife appointment on Thursday, be interesting to see if I’ve progressed from 2cm 🙄 x

@surreygirl1987 I actually lost my cool with my mum the other day regarding the twice daily texts. she still texts me on a daily basis but rather than ask “is anything happening” she now makes small talk... yesterday’s text was “what make is your iron? I need a new one n yours is a good one” 😂😂😂😂😂 bless her x

Still no meaningful progress here.

A couple if hours if more painful tightenings again last night, 5 mins apart for a couple of hours, then no further progress.
Sooo fucking annoying!
I'm finding itcreslly stressful as it gets later in to the evening as I worry about my 4yr old and who I am going to ring etc and how will he be.
Which really won't be helping.

@surveygirl1987 I've started sending stupid messages so they don't get in there first with the anything happening disguised as an iron ha ha.

I lied about my due date just shoved it out a few days to buy myself some time. But this is my third. I should have added another week onto it.

I wish I had added a week onto my due date as well.
All the messages are annoying me!

I was so annoyed yesterday that I fear I was a bit rude to a lovely person. I was talking to another pregnant friend and a non pregnant lady that we know came over and said "are we are ready for the babies ladies?" and I replied "well I am, how about you?" Just sort of slipped out.

It's weird because although on paper it looks like things are happening and I do sort of feel different today...I'm sure I'm just reading too much into the symptoms....

Hi ladies just an update:
My 8lb 4 (we thought she'd be small as high risk for PAPP A) daughter was born 30th sept, 8 days after her due date!
Also felt like I wasn't even pregnant anymore all the way until contractions started on Saturday afternoon/evening. I think the only thing that got things kickstarted was sex as the mucus plug came away not long after that. I also recommend raspberry leaf tea to soften the cervix as when I got to the hospital I was already 5cm dilated and labour was very quick.
