Kyle
Ellie
Jaden/Jayden
Chanelle
etc etc... and apologies if you have called your child any of the above
I put Ellie because a squillion little girls are called that.
Freya is a nice name but there are so many now - it really turns me against such names,no matter whether they are nice

BooBoo, yes that is what it means. The name Jordan is hebrew for "flowing down" or "descending like the river...".

AnneJones · 06/06/2007 17:03

Oh yes - I used to hate it too - apols for being London-centric. Please feel free to insert name of leafy middle-class area of whichever conurbation you prefer.

milkchocolate · 06/06/2007 17:04

Taylorsmummy and Lailasmummy, guessing your kids are Taylor and Laila. I love both names. Not that it means anything, just thougth I should say so.

Desiderata · 06/06/2007 17:04

Taylorsmummy! Calm down. I fear for your blood pressure

allgonebellyup · 06/06/2007 17:05

not the Wandsworth rules!!

UnquietDad · 06/06/2007 17:05

Califrau - "Butterkist Butterkist ra ra ra"

allgonebellyup · 06/06/2007 17:05

i like Laila, not that my opinion matters..

hellish · 06/06/2007 17:05

thank you unquietdad for your amazingly perceptive, intelligent post, i will take that as a compliment.

TaylorsMummy · 06/06/2007 17:06

thanks milkchocolate i love taylor too!

why should i calm down tho? would you calm down if you and yours were so blatently insulted?

UnquietDad · 06/06/2007 17:06

Laila makes me want to go [air guitar] "daddle-daddle-addle OWww, nyow, nyow, nyow." Which is good.

lailasmum · 06/06/2007 17:06

Thanks. She is only called laila because my husband wanted to call her leela after a dr who assistant which i refused to go along with and I love lilah so we met in the middle. Have since learnt its arabic.

southeastastra · 06/06/2007 17:07

i know a taylor too, he is the cutest thing ever

persephonesnape · 06/06/2007 17:07

please feel free to insult/praise my childrens names.

Tabitha (11)Murdo (9) & Hamish (7)

i will agree wholeheartedly with the praise and ignore the insults, because other peoples opinions of what i choose to name my children are really neither here nor there, unless they agree with me!

NoodleStroodle · 06/06/2007 17:07

Are they not from Katie Morag books?

allgonebellyup · 06/06/2007 17:09

Gorgeous names, i love 'em!

milkchocolate · 06/06/2007 17:10

I wanted to call my daugther Linnea. After the Swedish botanic Carl Von Linnee. Husband not keen, but "she" turned out to be a "he".

persephonesnape · 06/06/2007 17:10

noodle, i think one of the big boy cousins was called Murdo! well spotted!

we were going to move back to england when the boys were very small and I wanted them to have some of their scottish heritage. I'm still in poxy Glasgow though! ;)

Tabithas middle name is mhairi for the same reason.

Desiderata · 06/06/2007 17:11

I have a step-daughter whose name is on the list, which isn't quite the same thing, I appreciate, but I'm not offended in the slightest.

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 06/06/2007 17:11

Do you know it's a girl Fio???! [jumps up and down excitedly] DD will aprove.. she and I love Dr Who

I would quite like to make DH have a vasectomy reversal and have a boy and a girl called Fox (as in Mulder, naturally..) and Sky.. as in, er.. the sky. And I mean it too.. (but not about the vasectomy reversal.. ho no!!)
