Kyle
Ellie
Jaden/Jayden
Chanelle
etc etc... and apologies if you have called your child any of the above
I put Ellie because a squillion little girls are called that.
Freya is a nice name but there are so many now - it really turns me against such names,no matter whether they are nice

i like martha.

UnquietDad · 06/06/2007 17:14

I don't get the "initial type name" thing.

Peejay and Teejay and Deejay and Teecee.

OrmIrian · 06/06/2007 17:14

How about Taddy? When I first heard it I assumed it was short for Tadpole...but apparently not. Tadcaster

CountessDracula · 06/06/2007 17:14

watch out Teecee will be after you for that

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 06/06/2007 17:14

You mean a dog Fio??! I knew you were a dog lover.. but crikey!!

lailasmum · 06/06/2007 17:14

its hard when people have really complicatedly spelt names and they expect you to know how to spell them correctly or they get offended, particularly if you have just met them and never heard the name before. Used to come across this regularly in my old job. You can't win then. people do have a lot of trouble with laila though and thats quite simple.

UnquietDad · 06/06/2007 17:14

Yes, fio, but you'd have to put up with me.

UnquietDad · 06/06/2007 17:16

lailasmum
The name Leela (on Doctor Who) was partly inspired by Leila Khaled, that terrorist woman!

cylonbabe · 06/06/2007 17:16

well, at the moment my hayfever is awful, and claweing my eyes out sounds like good pain relief.

allgonebellyup · 06/06/2007 17:16

initials as names ?? like CJ.. whats that all about?

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 06/06/2007 17:17

Is this where UQD and Fio get it on?

We've not had one of those threads for some time!

Have you noticed, I'm over the dreadful slagging off of my firstborn's name!

And now I'm off to pick up the little sh*t who says he's "lost" his busfare.. again...

lailasmum · 06/06/2007 17:17

oh well, there was another terrorist i came across called layla too. Am suprised hubby didn't know that as i keep tripping over his endless boxes of dr who memorabelia, shame he doesn't read any of it.

cylonbabe · 06/06/2007 17:18

freya just reminds me of the bras.

Rielly
Rylee,
Riley
Areille
Orion (yes really)
Lincoln
Talitha
Avery (this is very popular)
Jada
Jadelynn

UnquietDad · 06/06/2007 17:19

No, cos I'm having the snip.

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 06/06/2007 17:20

Erm... well... using my highly developed sense of detective like intelligence, I'd say names like "CJ" are about.. erm.. initials, do you think maybe? Like Christopher James... maybe?

(And maybe I'm NOT over it quite yet.. )

And He of the Grim Name will have walked five of the ten miles home by now...

UnquietDad · 06/06/2007 17:20

Same teacher friend from earlier has a La'Kye and a Lorrainer in her class. (Where the hell did that spare R come from?)
