Kyle
Ellie
Jaden/Jayden
Chanelle
etc etc... and apologies if you have called your child any of the above
I put Ellie because a squillion little girls are called that.
Freya is a nice name but there are so many now - it really turns me against such names,no matter whether they are nice

Methusela - another goodie from the Bible.

Or Ham or Shem.

lailasmum · 06/06/2007 17:35

My daughter names most of her toys Boris, haven't a clue where she heard it first.

southeastastra · 06/06/2007 17:35

plug

AnneJones · 06/06/2007 17:35

(Actually I quite like Shem, thinking about it)

nightowl · 06/06/2007 17:37

yawn. as usual ds's name is on this thread. once again YAWN.

because his name shapes who he is right?

no matter he's a wonderfully kind, caring, sensitive child who tries hard despite his learning difficulties, that he has manners and blah blah blah etc.

oh and bolleux.

Peachy · 06/06/2007 17:37

I like the name Brogan a lot

I like Ezekiel but Dh forbade it. We both liked Gabriel but Mum threatened to disoen us (we did live on quite a rough estate at the time so probably not the kindest)

Peachy · 06/06/2007 17:39

nightown is your son called methusela?

ignore it, its silly and shallow. convert it to a names I like thread (or pick ridiculous names nobosy actually has had for many millenia

lailasmum · 06/06/2007 17:40

It actually would have already appeared to have turned into a names we like thread somewhere around the potato varities

Blandmum · 06/06/2007 17:40

Kipper Nightowl as a certain ring to it as well! As you say it suits you and him, and that s all tha matters

CountessDracula · 06/06/2007 17:41

hellish · 06/06/2007 17:41

nightowl · 06/06/2007 17:41

Blandmum · 06/06/2007 17:41

TaylorsMummy · 06/06/2007 17:42

i love harvey too but my mate nicked that one already

handlemecarefully · 06/06/2007 17:42

What do you think of the name 'Fenton' (it's ok I don't have any close relatives called this, just wondered what you thought)

lailasmum · 06/06/2007 17:42

Sounds more like a surname than a first name

TaylorsMummy · 06/06/2007 17:42

i quite like it

bettybobo · 06/06/2007 17:42

nightowl dont worry i dont think allgonebelly up (if that is who it was) realises how offensive it is to mock other peoples names. Especially from the smug safety of all those hugos, felixs, archies, charlies, harrys that are around here. And im not saying i dont like these names its just that it doesnt make you or your children better if they have them!!

Peachy · 06/06/2007 17:43

HMC for me it reminds me of someone I dont like so its ahrd to see above that BUT I cant think of anything bar that worng with it at all.

Blandmum · 06/06/2007 17:43

It think that with some surnames Fenton risks sounding like a rather nice village in the cotswolds.

So Fenton Lee, or Fenton Downs.

Nice places, probably have a duck pond and ecentric Village Post mistress

Peachy · 06/06/2007 17:44

I've said this before and I will reiterate A) that she' OK and B) that I like the name, its sweet but I go to college witha Strawberry Fields Forever

beat that LOL

handlemecarefully · 06/06/2007 17:45

lol at martianbishop.

It is a first name - more popular in the US. I briefly considered it for ds but went for a different name in the end.

lailasmum · 06/06/2007 17:45

True. there is a potteries town called Fenton. maybe if you were doing a beckhams thing and naming your kids after where they were conceived then it could work.
