Kyle
Ellie
Jaden/Jayden
Chanelle
etc etc... and apologies if you have called your child any of the above
I put Ellie because a squillion little girls are called that.
Freya is a nice name but there are so many now - it really turns me against such names,no matter whether they are nice

my db and his gf are going to call their baby Madison or Mackenzie.probably shorten it to kenzie.i think that's cute.

Blandmum · 06/06/2007 17:46

I worked with a Chris Peacock (you need to say it out loud)

Desiderata · 06/06/2007 17:46

All names are cool by me, but you have to admit that some names just don't suit babies.

Like Ray for instance ...

lailasmum · 06/06/2007 17:47

That was the thing I had with colin earlier.

Desiderata · 06/06/2007 17:47

I did have to say that aloud, MB. Twice

Poor lad!

Desiderata · 06/06/2007 17:48

Yes, my Dad's called Colin and he's always hated his name.

But that said, I'm glad that people occasionally chose it. I don't like the idea of names disappearing forever.

southeastastra · 06/06/2007 17:49

ooh but i love colin firth.

YumMumFatBum · 06/06/2007 17:49

My xp wanted to call ours CJ (as in Chandler Joey from Friends) if we had a boy, thank god we had a girl then...

GibbonInARibbon · 06/06/2007 17:49

Colin will make a comeback

lailasmum · 06/06/2007 17:51

Some people have said my daughter's name works because the first letter of her forename and the last letter of the surname are the same so it sounds very together. Sometimes its surname first name combos that can make or break a name.

Yes, Gibbon. I wish Colin (Firth) would make a 'comeback' to my place.

I replay that scene in Pride and Prejudice endlessly ... with a spittle of drool hanging from my chin.

What a fine specimen of the male species

nightowl · 06/06/2007 17:54

thanks betty but dont worry, im used to it

southeastastra · 06/06/2007 17:55

fio!!

allgonebellyup · 06/06/2007 17:56

Brogan reminds me of bogies, for some reason.

isnt Daniella Westbrook's son called Kai/Kye? Exactly..say no more.

Dont like Amber either, my sis in law is called this.

Like Rory.

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 06/06/2007 17:58

There was a Fenton in SCBU with DS2, so, to me, it's the name of a very small premature baby!

I like it actually.

Peachy · 06/06/2007 17:58

I wouldn't mind an Amber actually (but our surname is powerful enough to change a name anyway)

lailasmum · 06/06/2007 18:00

I sort of like otilie from a John Wynham story but actually when you say it out load its not as nice.

Desiderata · 06/06/2007 18:01

Rory would be a good name for one of Welsh Boris's children.

RRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRY

allgonebellyup, what's your comment about daniella westbrook about? do you know her?

nightowl · 06/06/2007 18:06

allgonebellyup, if you dont like a name fine, we all have names we really dislike.

but you cant judge a child on his/her name. thats really unfair.

Cascara · 06/06/2007 18:08

southeastastra · 06/06/2007 18:11
