Hey, I’ve just found out I’m pregnant and that I’ll be due in May. I’ve had 4 miscarriages and have no children so I’m really nervous! It’s still really early but would love to talk to other people due in May. Even though I know it’s still really early and lots of people may not know their due date yet!

Hi All,

Hoping I can join in... found out I was pregnant 13th Sept will be 6 weeks on Friday! Called my doc who put me onto the midwife so I have an app next week. My friend didn't get hers until 9 weeks... is it too early for me?! I am also debating whether or not to take a half day as its at 1230 and my boss has been on my case about getting pregnant (she doesn't want me too) since I got married 3 years ago!

Not much symptoms going on, keep taking tests as I think they are wrong because of my lack of symptoms! Only thing I have is a very gurgly tummy!

sprinkleofsunshine · 19/09/2018 11:54

I had my final blood results back and they have jumped from 420 to 3810 so pleased with that! 😬

Welcome and congrats to all the newbies with bfp's x

Kimberlily · 19/09/2018 12:30

Hi @kmcneil91, congratulations on being 6 weeks pregnant. I think it's fab that you have a midwife appointment so soon. I don't have mine until the 1st Oct which will make me 10 weeks. I feel there is a lot I can do wrong in that time without any medical professionals advice. Eg. I have been taking woman's health vitamins because they have folic acid and iron and just found out the other day that I shouldn't take them as they contain vitamin a and e which can apparently cause birth defects! I'm scared as I have been taking them for 7 weeks! So I say it's great you are getting to speak to someone so soon to make sure your on the right track xx

Hi! Think I commented on this one or the other May 19 post the other week, well I have a very confusing update!
I miscarried on 14th August HCG Levels over 6 days were 40,32 and then 9. Had to take a pregnancy test on 10th Sept for EPU to discharge me and was BFP. Went for HCG levels done again which were 270. Told to come back 17th Sept and if they were over 100 they would do a scan. They came back at 5,432!! Even the nurses were shocked it was this high. They are doing me a scan tomorrow as from the dates I must have conceived (21/22nd Aug) I can only be 4 weeks! anyone else had very high levels at this early stage? They have even spoke about confirming it isn't still the original pregnancy! Other talk (not professional albeit) is possible multiple babies?! I am obviously very intrigued but also worried they still won't be able to see anything and I'll be in limbo for even longer.

SpannerH · 19/09/2018 14:35

Sorry if they were over 1000 not 100 hahaha

sprinkleofsunshine · 19/09/2018 14:57

How far are you @SpannerH mine were 3810 on Monday at 4+4

lifechanginglemoncake · 19/09/2018 14:57

Hi @buntingandstarcharts - exciting to have a due date buddy!

I haven't even called the GP yet as we just moved and hadn't registered yet. Plan to do that on Friday.

I'm starting to have mild nausea when I haven't eaten for a while but otherwise ok at the moment. How are you doing?

Just been out for work drinks at lunchtime and had an orange juice (used the excuse I would fall asleep in the afternoon if I had a wine). Made me realise the drinks options aren't great. What tips does anyone have for non alcoholic drinks which aren't high on sugar, caffeine or sweeteners?

lifechanginglemoncake · 19/09/2018 14:58

@Pancakes7 fingers crossed all stays safe in there. Keep going with the positivity.

SpannerH · 19/09/2018 15:03

@sprinkleofsunshine well this is the thing, they are struggling to date me as I caught on so soon after the last I didn't even have a period. We did the deed 21st/22nd August that's it so to me it has to be one of those dates which would make me 4 weeks, maybe 4+1 at a push! Those levels have startled me! I am hoping it is just a very strong baby!

sprinkleofsunshine · 19/09/2018 15:05

Yes hopefully you just have a super sticky one @SpannerH Smile

Pinky333777 · 19/09/2018 16:17

@lifechanginglemoncake
Go cheap! Go soda water and lime!
😆
I'm not sure there are many drinks without the sugar or caffeine.
Once I'm over 12 weeks I'm going to have a weekly treat of a shandy or two or a small wine 🍷

BeautifulSlang · 19/09/2018 17:11

How are you all getting your hcg readings?

smcgregor1995 · 19/09/2018 17:26

Does anyone else have morning sickness yet? I've had morning sickness all day and all night for the past 4 days haven't been able to stand up or get off the couch without feeling dizzy like I'm going to faint feel sick when trying to eat and usually vomit back up what I eat within minutes of eating it and I haven't slept either! I am exhausted and I'm only 7 weeks 😂 God help me once I start to get big!

MrsHN · 19/09/2018 18:23

Hello Everyone! I am due May 6th by my working out, so currently 7 + 3
This is my 3rd - and it is so different. With my first I didn’t have many symptoms, with my second I had joint aches and headaches - I never felt worried with either pregnancies

I was having vivid dreams before I knew I was pregnant, craving mint sauce (this has stopped so much now) before I had even missed AF. My boobs are a cup size bigger already, my face and hair is covered in spots and I am nauseous All The Time! And exhausted so so exhausted

But the bits that are making me worry are the ‘sensations’ I have had consistent cramping since I was due AF. Dull ache around my hips and I can move and get a sharp sudden pull felling that is gone in an instant (sounds like round ligament pain according to google) but I’m so worried

I have had no bleeding or spotting at all, but it all just feels so extremely different

Sorry for the long post, I have my first midwife meeting on 3rd Oct, just hoping someone can relate 😊

Redken24 · 19/09/2018 18:40

@MrsHN this is my second pregnancy and I forgot how terrible it can feel! I'm due 2nd of May. Already wishing away week's til I feel normal! Have been feeling like there is hot pins stuck in my ears and I'm so tired! I sometimes get these phantom period pains I always just assume constipation 😂

buntingandstarcharts · 19/09/2018 18:40

@Russell19 I am impatient too! Can you hear the heart at 6 weeks?

MrsHN · 19/09/2018 18:40

Oh and not to mention constipation and highly emotional 🤦🏼‍♀️ Xx

MrsHN · 19/09/2018 18:42

@Redken24 I feel a bit like because I didn’t get them first times round I’m getting a triple does this time 😂

em254 · 19/09/2018 19:23

Welcome to all the new ladies and congratulations! 😃🎉

I’m 6+1 today, starting to feel a bit sick if I don’t eat regularly and find myself craving carbs!

My first midwife appointment isn’t until I’m 9 weeks but I have a reassurance scan booked when I’m 8 weeks. Trying to keep busy and have things to look forward to until the 12 week mark! x

sprinkleofsunshine · 19/09/2018 19:45

@BeautifulSlang dr ordered my bloods due to me finding out quite early, 3 weeks on the dot and having two previous early losses.

expatlife · 20/09/2018 03:44

@MrsHN I definitely relate - I also have the pulling and cramps and gone up a bra size already. I had the same with my first pregnancy so trying to remember that and not worry! It's hard tho, cannot wait to my scan in 10 days for some reassurance!

kmcneil91 · 20/09/2018 08:36

@Kimberlily yeah I am not sure why I honestly was expecting her to say call back in a few weeks! We will see what she says hubby is offshore so hopefully it's nothing major that he needs to be there for.

Sore head today and super tired! I am very away mmc is still high risk it just feels so surreal and an incredible amount of pressure to keep this little human to be safe!

Kimberlily · 21/09/2018 11:06

@kmcneil91 I knoooow! I am normally not too fussy about what I eat and normally the 3 second rule applys if I drop anything but not now! I'm so aware of everything I do and eat incase I harm the baby. My family are trying to tell me to enjoy the pregnancy but it's very difficult when I am feeling so nauseous and tired!

Good luck with your first midwife apt xx

Kimberlily · 21/09/2018 11:08

@buntingandstarcharts Hi, just to let you know I had an internal scan at 6 weeks and you can see the heart beat! It's amazing! Xx

buntingandstarcharts · 21/09/2018 12:33

@Kimberlily wow thanks! I'm going to go for it xx I wonder the earliest time for a heartbeat? X
