Hi all, so I've only just found out I'm pregnant! 3.5 weeks so still early on but looking for others in the same stages as me. Marginally terrified, apprehensive and anxious but majorly excited for my journey with little bean!

Hi @NewSparkle how many weeks are you? I've read that bleeding during the first 12 weeks is actually very common. If unsure maybe ring 111 for some advice?

NewSparkle · 02/09/2018 16:30

I’m 6 weeks , I’m gonna sit tight the next few hours & see how I go. Scared the heck outta me. Fingers crossed.

Chivari · 02/09/2018 16:35

Don't worry too much @NewSparkle I'm sure it will be fine! Like I said it's meant to be quite normal to have some bleeding, as long as it isn't loads xx

TheMagicTorch · 02/09/2018 16:50

@unicornxo @purplestar9
Thank you! It went really well! The lady scanning saw the sac and heartbeat straight away but was difficult to see on screen as my bowels were in the way 😳🙊 so we did an internal and it was perfect. It's measuring exactly where it should be (I'm 7 weeks exactly) and lovely healthy heartbeat. So happy

purplestar9 · 02/09/2018 16:58

@TheMagicTorch that sounds lovely! I'm glad all is well! 😊

donna474 · 02/09/2018 16:59

@TheMagicTorch that's great news, I've got mine next Saturday at 7w3d so hoping to be able to see the little bean and a nice healthy heartbeat

Afternoon all, hope everyone is feeling okay? @Themagictorch that's so exciting! Bet you're over the moon.

@NewSparkle how are you now? Try not to worry too much as @Chivari says, it's fairly common but understandably scary!

How's the sickness for everyone today? How are you feeling @purplestar?

Chivari · 02/09/2018 17:48

So exciting @TheMagicTorch 😍😍 we have our early scan in 2 weeks when I am 8+6. Can't wait.

@CrystalBlaze sickness is as per today, if not slightly worse as I am exhausted from sleeping really badly last night. I was out earlier and ended up having to run to the loo to gag. Once I had then had a bit of food I felt better 🤦🏽‍♀️ how are you? Any signs of sickness yet?

CrystalBlaze · 02/09/2018 17:53

Sorry you're still feeling rough @Chivari. I don't want to jinx things but still don't feel sick at all. Woke up very headachey this morning but it passed after a while. Just totally exhausted and my boobs are killing me still. My sense of smell is also ridiculous. Obviously definitely don't want to feel sick but also hoping everything is okay!

Kez99xo · 02/09/2018 17:55

Iv booked an early scan for the 17th i'll be around 8 weeks xx

purplestar9 · 02/09/2018 18:05

@CrystalBlaze I'm feeling good, thank you. The aches in my legs seem to have gotten better and my back is a bit better too. I'm getting light cramps every so often but nothing major. And I'm struggling to decide what to eat most of the time but eating fairly well so I'm happy! No sickness (thank god!).
Glad you're not feeling sick either! I have heard of pregnancies with no sickness what so ever... I'm gonna have one of those pregnancies! 😉

Chivari · 02/09/2018 18:18

So jealous of you both @CrystalBlaze and @purplestar9 😫😫 glad that you're both not suffering with nausea and hope it continues!

I described it to my DH the other day as waking up every day feeling hungover (if you are one of those people who feels sick after drinking one too many). Definitely no alcohol over here! Although would love a glass of ice cold white....

CrystalBlaze · 02/09/2018 18:19

That's my plan too @purplestar Wink

Have been getting cramps too, only last about 30 seconds or so. Assume it's everything shifting about.

purplestar9 · 02/09/2018 18:34

@Chivari I'm sorry you're suffering, hope it doesn't last long for you!

@CrystalBlaze yeah I'm assuming that too so not worrying about them really. I'm not feeling overly tired so far, a little bit more than usual but not really noticeable, but I've been off for a week so had more sleep than usual anyway, I think it's gonna hit me hard this week, back in work tomorrow!

TheMagicTorch · 02/09/2018 18:40

Aww lovely we got lovely pictures from the internal- and it was much less uncomfortable than I expected! Not bad at all. Little heart was going like the clappers!

@donna474 forgot to tag you above!

TheMagicTorch · 02/09/2018 18:41

@Chivari yup that's my favourite description too. I am craving a lovely cold glass of wine about now 😍

Unicorn234 · 02/09/2018 18:41

Hey ladies haven't posted for a while so just checking in and love to read how your all getting on 😊 I'm currently 8+2 and still have had no morning sickness. Couple of mornings last week that I was gagging but no sickness 🤞 my boobs have got alot bigger 🙈 and nipples are very sensitive today.
@newsparkle as the other ladies said I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. And I'm sure brown blood is meant to be absolutely fine so try not to stress 😘
How much did your early scans cost ladies?

TheMagicTorch · 02/09/2018 18:43

@Unicorn234 mine was £89 with babybond (ultrasounds direct). Someone on the Facebook group mentioned there might be a Groupon offer too.

CrystalBlaze · 02/09/2018 19:00

Great to hear you've escaped sickness so far @Unicorn! Gives me hope! I feel a bit bad because I'm not eating amazingly at the moment. All I want is salty carbs. Basically knocking back bovril on toast, wheat crackers and digestive biscuits like nothing else.

donna474 · 02/09/2018 20:46

@TheMagicTorch those pictures are amazing, you can see the shape on it and everything!
@Unicorn234 our scan costs £55 and then any further scans they only charge £45.
@CrystalBlaze I'm back at work tomorrow after the summer hols and have packed my bag full of carbs that I know make me feel better, just hoping no one notices the ginger biscuits and figures me out

Hi Ladies, im also expecting my first April 2019. Been on quite the rollacoaster- baby wasnt exactly planned but pleasant surprise all the same, then i went into major anxiety mode that something wasnt right because I let my imagination get carried away with me- thought id had a MMC. Paid for a private scan yesterday and found out I'm actually expecting twins (likely identical) !! A bit overwhelmed. To make it even more daunting- there is a possibility of a 3rd baby in a seperate sack (very rare i believe) - the sack was there but no visible heart beat- having to go back for a scan in a few weeks to find out. To top it off I've not yet told a soul besides my partner so feeling very much in an isolated world right now... bit of reassurance would be welcome.

Unicorn234 · 02/09/2018 21:03

Thanks ladies, I was worried about not having sickness as it is such a common symptom but the other changes to my body keep me reassured 😊
I'm not sure whether to go for an early scan or just wait lol

purplestar9 · 02/09/2018 21:36

Hi @Verity89 that's very exciting news! Must be a lot to take in though! How are you feeling?

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 02/09/2018 22:22

Congrats Verity, I’m here if you need any help, I have identical twins who are nearly 8!
Don’t worry you’ll be well looked after and lots of scans. Twins are fantastic once you get over the shock :)
I’m actually quite worried that I might be having twins again as I feel exactly the same as last time!
