I've lost count of what number we were on, sorry.

Also there seems to be another BFP after MC thread running, but it has all different people on it so I didn't know if we should crash theirs or just have two running at once...

@iswallowtoothpaste that's great news. It's so good when you see that heart beating away 😍.. x

Hopefulforourrainbow · 20/11/2018 13:07

That's great news @iswallowtoothpaste! So happy for you.
@vuduvu I can start weaning it down at 12 weeks. I'm 10+5 now.

NoParticularPattern · 20/11/2018 14:59

Woohoo great news toothpaste and bean!!! Congrats on the fab scans :)

I’m being a neurotic and have just tested again. Line has got lovely and dark since the first test last Friday so that’s pacified me for now. Hopefully only a couple more weeks and I’ll feel crap then I can moan about that too haha!! I’m hoping to try and make it to the 12 week scan without an early one as a) we can’t afford a private one and b) it doesn’t give me long lasting reassurance anyway from previous experience!! Only several more weeks to go Confused

Hope

Great news toothpaste! Congratulations! I hope you can relax a little now. My BP and protein remain slightly above normal, slightly below treatment levels. Back on Friday. And having what is hopefully my last scan!

HidCat · 20/11/2018 20:31

@beanhunter congratulations I'm glad things are looking good.

@Iswallowtoothpaste thank God! So happy for you!

Hi I'm looking for some advice from those of you who have been on cyclogest. When prescribed I was given very little instruction. 400mg am, 400mg pm and can be administered front or back. To take until 12 weeks. When I was seen at 7 weeks for scan after bleed I asked if I should increase dose. Was told no but was also told when it comes to stopping it that I should wean the dose down. After 10 week scan I thought should I wean down before 12 weeks and stop at 12 or start to wean down at 12. I called for advice and was told since I had a good scan I could stop at 10 weeks or I could wean down either way like i had asked. It was my decision. It's obviously something I know very little about so wasn't happy with the vague advice I have been given. When looking online for info I can only find forums. I'm 11 weeks tomorrow and not sure what to do!

Hopefulforourrainbow · 21/11/2018 08:34

Sorry it's such a long post!

Miami81 · 21/11/2018 09:22

@Hopefulforourrainbow I would wait til 12 weeks and then wean down gradually from there. It's not harming you or the baby so I would be looking to keep it as long as I could.
Do you have enough to do that?

Hopefulforourrainbow · 21/11/2018 10:04

If i continue taking 2 a day until 12 weeks I'll only have a few left. I can always ask for another prescription though. Thankfully they're free in Scotland!

AnneLovesGilbert · 21/11/2018 10:21

I'm so so pleased and relieved for you @iswallowtoothpaste, really had you in my thoughts. Are you completely comfy again? Did they say what might have caused it?

Glad you had a good scan as well bean!

I agree with Miami, hopeful. I've ended up on for far longer than I'd expected (or was told). 24 weeks today and started weaning off it. Been on 2 x 400 ones morning and night and today started on 1 in the morning and two at night. Next week one twice a day, week after just one at night, then off it. As much as constantly waxy thighs aren't me favourite thing in the world, feel a bit nervy about being on less tbh as it's been a mega dose from bfp but trusting my doc.

Last scan plus monitoring Friday para? Sorry your levels are still up, are you concerned or just keeping an eye? I know you want your baby staying in you as long as possible but these last weeks must feel a real struggle. Does elevating your feet help swelling or not really? Juggling work and a toddler can't be easy!

How are you Miami? 24 weeks this week?!

I had a question about movements from people who are getting them. I'm now having some every day but when is completely random. I've been making a note on my app and it's 6am, lunchtime, 6pm, after supper, most often when I'm vegging on the sofa around 9/10pm. No pattern at all! Always on the left side, so assuming that's its feet and the head is on my right side. When should I start getting any kind of routine?

Miami81 · 21/11/2018 10:45

@AnneLovesGilbert in terms of movements I think kicks count advise that between 24-28 weeks there should be an increase in frequency and then after 28 weeks you may start to notice a pattern developing. By 32 weeks there should be a routine and this should continue until delivery.
I find movements really hard, they are just so triggering for me and I am the only one who feels them consistently, the pressure of that is really hurting my head at the mo.
However this baby is really playing ball with mommies insides so that is really reassuring.
Mine is an evening baby too. Just settled down on the sofa last night and had my hand resting on tummy above belly button, hadn't realised that baby was that far up, suddenly got a massive thump that moved my hand.
You may be feeling movements only on one side just because of your placenta location. The wee feet may be out past the placenta now (if that makes sense at all).
I have the kicks count wristband, which I am finding really good. It helps me at work and stuff as I can just slide it along without having to pick up my phone, so it's good in meetings etc.
Kicks count website is great. It has loads of advice.

24 weeks on Friday. Which is amazing. It's making me very emotional though, so just focusing on getting through the days at the moment.

Iswallowtoothpaste · 21/11/2018 10:47

Thank you all! I’ve been trying to update every thread I commented on when I was having a neurotic panic attack on Sunday Grin she said she couldn’t see any cause for the bleeding. There way a small amount of jelly like ‘stuff’ that came out before I had the blood so I’m wondering if a bit of my plug came away? My back is still giving me some bother on and off but I’ve heard that a retroverted uterus can cause back pain at this stage until it straightens itself out at a later date. Feels more like a muscular pain now though than pms cramps.

Labmum · 21/11/2018 11:34

Good scans all round, congratulations @iswallowtoothpaste, @whiteonesugar and @bean!

@Miami, 24 weeks on Friday is amazing! Can't imagine the mixture of feeling you must have.

@hopeful with the cyclogest I'd wean down after 12 weeks too, I was only on 2 a day one morning one night so I just went to just one per day for a week then had a few left so took those 36-48 hours apart until I ran out. The 5mg folic acid stops at 12 weeks too I was told and just take the normal pregnancy vits after that.

@Anne as Miami said I wouldn't worry too much about a pattern yet, it'll gradually become clear. My little lady is generally quite active but still doesn't have a very obvious pattern, yesterday she was pretty quiet but a lot of thumps were low down and more internal so harder to feel, plus I was busy running round after the toddler so when I eventually sat quiet for a while she had a dance around. I was feeling a bit panicky by late afternoon though.

@paranormal hope the monitoring and scan go well on Friday, then final countdown. Eek! Its going to be such a lovely christmas for you all!

Noticed we're getting close to the end of the thread so I'll set up a new one and post a link!
