I've lost count of what number we were on, sorry.

Also there seems to be another BFP after MC thread running, but it has all different people on it so I didn't know if we should crash theirs or just have two running at once...

@Iswallowtoothpaste @AnneLovesGilbert okay lovelies thank you. I'm going back on Friday to have them done but I might go ASAP! X

Hopefulforourrainbow · 13/11/2018 11:00

Thanks @Anne. Hoping for good news on Thursday. I had a very vivid dream last night that I had a baby girl! Felt so real! I'm struggling with the cyclogest to be honest. Feeling very bloated and it's not helping my IBS. Have been very gassy and have been having diarrhoea with it too. Thankfully still off work. I don't think I could cope with being at work and the mad dashes to the loo! The joys! Are you still on the cyclogest or did you stop at 12 weeks?

Paranormalbouquet · 13/11/2018 11:41

Welcome hopeful! Delighted you’ve made it here. You may remember that I had pretty much constant spotting through the first trimester and it was ok. Fingers crossed it’s the same for you.

AnneLovesGilbert · 13/11/2018 12:13

Sorry you're feeling ropey hopeful Sad How long will you be off? With your work you really can't be there if you're struggling so take it easy.

Lovely dream! Was she a newborn or older? I'm dreaming very vividly...mostly about work! Yawn. Also waking several times a night for no reason.

Still on it. 4 x 400 ones a day, front at night, back in the morning. I was on 5 post bleed but 4 for the last few weeks, and weaning down one a week from 24 weeks, so in a week. I've missed spontaneous shagging, especially when I haven't been able to sleep, as once they're in and I'm flat that's it for the night.

Really hope you feel better soon.

Hopefulforourrainbow · 13/11/2018 12:28

Yes I do remember that now you've mentioned it @paranormal.
Yuck that's a lot @Anne. I'm on 400mg twice daily. I did ask about increasing the dose after my first scan but they said no. If scan is ok on Thursday I had thought about asking if I could use front and back. We haven't had sex at all since bfp as I'm so paranoid about bleeding. To be honest I'm not that bothered but hubby is struggling! I'm signed off til 18th but not due back on shift til 21st. It was a newborn in the dream. We were announcing the birth, name etc.

Miami81 · 13/11/2018 13:59

Hi and thanks for today's good wishes. All seems like good news from the scan. Uterine artery Doppler had a mean of PI 0.59 (I don't know what this means but they seem pleased). Liquor volumes are good and growth is ok. Growth wasn't wonderful in that it seems slightly lower percentile then at 20 week scan. And then they piped up with the growth can easily be out at this stage as the margins are still quite small.
But we are seeing the Manchester specialist clinic on Thursday and I am assuming they will go into this in a lot more detail.
So all in all, it's positive, I just don't exactly feel like jumping for joy because of the growth thing.

Paranormalbouquet · 13/11/2018 14:38

Miami I think that’s a very good Doppler. My mean PI at 20 weeks was over 2 which is a 20-30% risk of problems but so far it’s ok (apart from making me even more anxious about movements). Baby is measuring between 25th and 75th centiles depending on the day and I’ve been told there’s big variability often at this stage abc they worry about a sustained drop rather than a single reading.

Hope all goes well in Manchester and they can reassure you.

There’s been no sex here! Risk of infection with stitch so advised to abstain. I’m now 34+4 so it’s been a very long time!

Miami81 · 13/11/2018 15:07

Thanks @Paranormalbouquet that's great. It's really helpful to be able to say some of this out loud on here.
No sex either here since conception!!! Ha ha Dh was away straight after and then I tested really early. We are both a bit freaked out about it to be honest.

Delilah7 · 13/11/2018 15:12

How do you feel about sex in early pregnancy or in pregnancy at all? We haven't had sex for nearly a month!! As I was due on we don't normally have sex lots before them and since finding out I'm pregnant I've been scared if I do I'll bleed 😂

AnneLovesGilbert · 13/11/2018 15:14

Hope Thursday goes well with clinic Miami and scan hopeful

Really didn't mean to be insensitive, sorry Blush

Labmum · 13/11/2018 18:14

I don't think you were being insensitive @Anne, everyone is different. First trimester sex was pretty much a write off for us, an episode of spotting and the constant sickness/nausea meant it was completely off the cards. As the pregnancy has progressed we've relaxed a little bit although it doesn't happen often, funny last week as when I O'd baby properly freaked out and I had a massive hard lump (I suspect babys bottom) sticking right out of my bump for ages! She was obviously thinking "what the heck was that?!!"!

Hopefulforourrainbow · 13/11/2018 18:36

No I don't think you were being insensitive either. I was curious to what everyone else's thoughts were. I've been too scared of bleeding though may relax a bit if Thursdays scan is ok.

Paranormalbouquet · 14/11/2018 12:54

I don’t think you were insensitive Anne. I’m jealous that others can enjoy having sex! Although at almost 35 weeks I have definitely lost interest anyway! I’m very unattractive right now- enormous bump, unshaven legs, big swollen feet and ankles, and slowly hobbling about!

AnneLovesGilbert · 14/11/2018 19:23

para I can’t believe that at all! I don’t have a clue what you look like but you’re beautiful on the inside and I’m sure it’s a gorgeous bump and I hope you’re not too uncomfortable x

No sex here tonight, I’ve caught the lurgy off some bastards we were out with at the weekend who didn’t bother to warn me they were harbouring germs. I feel like absolute shite and I’ve done too much so I’m now completely shattered. Dozing in front of the news, what a bloody shit show.

Vuduvu · 15/11/2018 11:34

Oh dear, bad news for me today at my cervix monitoring scan - it’s got shorter, 24mm at best but 18mm at worst. I can’t see the consultant to talk about it until tomorrow which is difficult, I hate being in limbo, and unfortunately my husband is away in the US for work. I’m trying really hard not to freak out but struggling!

They’ve given me a report that says 87% chance of delivering at term with cervix of 18mm which doesn’t sound too bad, but I’m worried in case it is actually worse than that as it’s got so much shorter in the last two weeks... @paranormalbouquet I know you know lots about this stuff, any thoughts?

Hope everyone else is ok. @miami81 good luck for your appointment today.

Paranormalbouquet · 15/11/2018 11:57

How many weeks are you Vuduvu? I think what they offer depends on how far along you are. If over 22 weeks you should be offered a fetal fibronectin measurement also which gives a more complete idea of the risk. They should have looked at other factors like funnelling etc? Is your consultant in a dedicated preterm clinic? The actual length means less than the rate of change and the likelihood of dilatation (so some people have short but strong cervix and others will have long but weak). Options at 18mm would be a stitch now, continuing to watch and wait or progesterone. In the meantime I would rest as much as possible until you see consultant- it’s unusual to give a range of 18-24mm so they may well scan you again tomorrow to have a better idea.

Have you joined the Facebook group “incompetent cervix Uk”? They are very supportive and there are lots of ladies with a lot of experience on there. PM me if you want to chat privately as well.

Paranormalbouquet · 15/11/2018 11:58

Anne sorry to hear you are unwell. DH and DD are both snotty and miserable so expecting to catch it too!

Miami I really hope all goes well for you.

AnneLovesGilbert · 15/11/2018 13:14

Thanks Para, proper snotty today, gross. Hope it passes you by! But I have wriggly baby which is brightening up the day. I usually get it between 7 and 10 in the evening and he/she's been at it off and on all morning.

Thinking of you for your appointment Miami, hell of a journey for you guys too, and for your worries Vuduvu. Love to all x

Labmum · 15/11/2018 13:39

Thinking of you @miami and @hopeful for your appointments today.

@vuduvu I know its difficult but try to stay calm, just take it easy for the rest of the day until you see the consultant tomorrow and can get a more informed picture of the situation and options going forward. 87% is a good chance of all being fine. If not you are being closely monitored so any changes will be picked up early and acted upon. Feet up, no shagging and just try take your mind off things until tomorrow with some crappy TV boxsets.

@Anne hope you're feeling better soon. Its rubbish being ill, especially when you're pregnant and cant take any of the good drugs! Lovely that bump is being nice and wriggly for you. Dolly Dot was trying her best to kick hubby off the sofa the other night (why he thought he'd ever fit being the little spoon on the sofa with me at my current size I don't know but it was a nice moment).

Whens your follow up @paranormal?

AnneLovesGilbert · 15/11/2018 13:59

Yes, good wishes to hopeful too, sorry! Much love.

That's so sweet lab, I have a lovely picture in my head Smile DH is just happy I'm feeling it but I'm desperate for him and the kids to be able to as well.

Hopefulforourrainbow · 15/11/2018 14:16

Hi good news for me! Very wriggly baby in there measuring exactly 10 weeks! Thanks for all the well wishes xx

Labmum · 15/11/2018 14:28

Amazing news @hopeful! So happy for you!

Iswallowtoothpaste · 15/11/2018 15:00

@Hopeful that’s amazing I’m so pleased for you!

I’m having some pretty strong and uncomfortable pain in my left shoulder. I’ve had it before whilst not pregnant and it seems to be worse when I’m breathing in.

I can’t think I’ve done anything to pull it, it’s just come on around half an hour ago. There’s always something to worry about! I’m 11+5 today so I think it’s a little late for an ectopic. Hopefully it’s not pregnancy related!

Miami81 · 15/11/2018 15:25

@Hopefulforourrainbow this is fantastic. So thrilled for you.
We had such a good appointment at the rainbow clinic in Manchester.
Measurements of everything were very reassuring. We have their phone number so if there is anything we are worried about we can give them a call. Just the fabbest people.
We are officially on a scan high.
If I wasn't so tired I would be heading straight out to buy something for baby.

AnneLovesGilbert · 15/11/2018 15:34
