Hi everyone,
38+3 today and feel like keek!
Reflux (now non-acidic due to omeprazole, but still woeful nonetheless! )up the past 2 nights vomiting its been that bad. Throat is raw, back has started to hurt (no back pain at all really the whole way through), ALOT of soft bms since yesterday, feel a bit like im getting a cold, braxton hicks have increased and are bordering on slightly painful this morning, and i also feel queasy. All in all i feel like a dogs dinner lol.
Anyone else almost at the end and feeling similar?
Ive convinced myself im going to go early. Though thats maybe me being hopeful and fed up of waiting lol
This is my third baby and she was breech up til this week and obstetrician told me on tuesday her heads engaged.
How absolutely soul destroying is the end of pregnancy, every day feels like a week lol

@LadyPug congratulations!!! Made up for you Smile I would highly recommend eating soft foods like soup. broccoli, fish, yogurts... Soft foods basically! That massively helped me avoid the nasty first bowel movement people warned me about.. It was pain free! Sorry if that's tmi but thought I'd share the best advice I received post c-section.

Does your little lady have name yet?

readysetcake · 25/05/2018 13:39

Congratulations @ladypug. Enjoy all those cuddles and I hope you have a swift recovery from the section!

PhoenixDown · 25/05/2018 15:19

Well I've just had the mother of all sweeps so here's hoping! Head is really low, cervix almost fully effaced and waters bulging - feel mild crampy pains so let's hope they get going properly Smile

LadyPug · 25/05/2018 15:46

Thanks everyone! Thanks cosmoa it’s actually my second section and it was a lower category this time so already recovery is easier but I prob need to relax a bit more as discharged myself a bit early and running around after toddler! No name yet! Oooh good luck Phoenix! Keep us posted!

PhoenixDown · 26/05/2018 09:52

started having mild yet regular pains not long after the sweep, nothing I couldn't cope with so decided to try and sleep as I was exhausted and actually slept most of night! Now pains a bit stronger, still manageable ish but having to breathe through. Every 5 - 7 mins. Trying to leave it as long as possible before going in to get checked as I can't bear it if I get there and I'm 1-2cm!

Cat12321 · 26/05/2018 11:20

@PhoenixDown ooooh!! It's all happening for you! SmileSmile

Misssmoo · 26/05/2018 16:34

38+6 today and even though I haven't been that bothered about alcohol the whole way through I am REALLY craving wine today?!? Very strange!!!

Beansprout30 · 27/05/2018 14:42

brogueish · 28/05/2018 20:42

Good luck Phoenix!

Hope everyone else is doing well.
I know I only joined this thread recently but I have an update! My little man arrived at 2.12 this morning Grin Waters broke at 8.30, went straight up to hospital, sent home at 11ish with induction planned to start this afternoon - back at home with Tens machine and hypnobirthing, baby crowned at around 1.45 and DH delivered him with the help of a 999 operator! First time mum at 38+3 so not what we'd planned at all, but it was amazing experience. Smile

Cosmoa · 28/05/2018 22:13

@brogueish oh wow!! That sounds incredible Grin what a special thing for your partner to deliver your baby!! Does he have a name?

Massive congratulations Flowers

Bojangles33 · 28/05/2018 22:32

Oh wow! Congratulations @brogueish

PhoenixDown · 29/05/2018 04:00

Sorry for delay - baby was born under 5 hours from my last post on 26th!! Fast towards the end especially, he was almost 9lb Shock my first was 6lb 12oz, and believe me I felt the difference! Jesus wept! He's utterly gorgeous, won't stop feeding though he's going to take some filling up!

@brogueish that's amazing! Congrats xx

Cosmoa · 29/05/2018 04:57

@PhoenixDown congratulations!! I was 8lbs 8oz which was big compared to my older sister and my Mum says she felt the difference for sure haha! 😂

Does he have a name yet?

Cat12321 · 29/05/2018 07:39

Morning!

My little Bonnie was finally born yesterday morning weighing 8lb 7! Really surprising, considering I was so tiny before.

I went into labour at 8pm Sunday night, ended up having a ventouse delivery at 2am on Monday morning. Madness! Epidural failed, too. It was definitely an experience!

Cat12321 · 29/05/2018 07:42

Sorry, baby brain still going at full force: I went into labour 8pm on Saturday night! All seems like a fuzzy memory now Smile

ferntwist · 29/05/2018 07:45

Congratulations! So happy for you all

Beansprout30 · 29/05/2018 08:49

Congratulations everyone! So nice to hear you've all come out the other side Grin who's still waiting?!!

Cosmoa · 29/05/2018 09:19

@Cat12321 congratulations on the birth of Bonnie Smile

Bojangles33 · 04/06/2018 20:13

What a week! Waters went on Tuesday night and were full of meconium, baby went into distress so had an EMCS. DS born Wednesday morning and all home safe now! Night feeds are killing me 😭

Beansprout30 · 04/06/2018 20:59

Congratulations bojangles pleased to hear you are all home safe and sound, hope you are able to get some rest between feeds.

Still waiting here, 9 days overdue

Beansprout30 · 05/06/2018 22:38

Well last night I went to bed wondering when baby would arrive... tonight she's asleep next to me Smile

Cosmoa · 05/06/2018 22:44
