Hi everyone,
38+3 today and feel like keek!
Reflux (now non-acidic due to omeprazole, but still woeful nonetheless! )up the past 2 nights vomiting its been that bad. Throat is raw, back has started to hurt (no back pain at all really the whole way through), ALOT of soft bms since yesterday, feel a bit like im getting a cold, braxton hicks have increased and are bordering on slightly painful this morning, and i also feel queasy. All in all i feel like a dogs dinner lol.
Anyone else almost at the end and feeling similar?
Ive convinced myself im going to go early. Though thats maybe me being hopeful and fed up of waiting lol
This is my third baby and she was breech up til this week and obstetrician told me on tuesday her heads engaged.
How absolutely soul destroying is the end of pregnancy, every day feels like a week lol

@Cosmoa Ahh congratulations to you!! It's nice to hear a positive birth story and I'm glad you weren't traumatised after as some women are.. she is beautiful! Xx

Cosmoa · 17/05/2018 13:38

Thank you! She's such a good baby! Hope you're all feeling well and hope you get to meet your babies soon Grin

readysetcake · 17/05/2018 21:59

Congratulations @cosmoa! She’s beautiful. I’m so glad you had a positive birth experience. Enjoy all the wonderful newborn cuddles, they’re the best! Flowers

Hi all, I'm 39 weeks today and utterly miserable, can I join?

List of things pissing me off at present:
Constant heartburn that makes me want to vomit
Perpetual state of needing to wee
Stabbing pelvic pain
Constant back ache
Hungry but can't fit any bloody food in
Always tired but then can't sleep

I can't take anymore. I was 39+1 when I had my first, so praying it's not much longer than that. SadAngry

@Cosmoa My word she is beautiful! Congrats Flowers

Cat12321 · 18/05/2018 10:19

Hi @PhoenixDown!

Of course, misery loves company haha Smile

I'm entirely with you with all of that, apart from the not being able to eat thing!

I've so so had enough now! I'm 39+3 and I'm starting to think that this baby will never come out!

Wishing that everything happens quickly for you Thanks

readysetcake · 18/05/2018 12:51

39+ 4 and experiencing all the same things @PhoenixDown, as well as crippling pelvic pain. I know exactly how you feel.

@cat12321 I feel like I’m in Groundhog Day and this pregnancy will never ever end. Quite emotional with the never ending ness of it all today. Doesn’t help my Toddler was a nightmare at a play date earlier. Generally throwing things, pushing, hitting, not sharing. I felt like such a shit parent and had to leave. Not sure how I managed to hold my tears in.

LadyPug · 18/05/2018 19:12

Joining!

Also 39 + 4 and struggling with life! Very tight in there and uncomfortable movements, heartburn is literally killing me, lower back pain and no energy! Bleugh! Toddler life is killing me! On the plus side, I’m 4/5 engaged not that that means anything on the second baby!

Beansprout30 · 18/05/2018 22:28

Hi ladies, ill be 39 weeks tomorrow, physically not feeling too bad but the longer I'm waiting, the more anxious I'm getting about giving birth!

My dh works away and I'm worrying a little that he might not make it back in time to get me to hospital, mum is on standby to come and take over toddler duty.

Argh I'm just remembering the pain of previous labour and getting scared

LadyPug · 18/05/2018 22:44

Hey beansprout I just had a
Mini meltdown as I thought I can’t do this!!!! :-( awful experience last time ended in emergency c section and this time I’m now doubting if I can do it because I’ve never done it! Just thought oh shit! I have to get this baby out!!!

Beansprout30 · 18/05/2018 22:52

Sorry you had a tough time first go Lady, I've been feeling so confident all pregnancy but as it's getting so close I'm bricking it! I hope we all have quick, straight forward births

LadyPug · 18/05/2018 23:00

Me too beansprout I’ve been feeling so good about it but today realising no matter what baby will be here in 2 weeks just makes me realise how scary and real it suddenly is!

Beansprout30 · 18/05/2018 23:02

Isn't it just! Will be so worth it in the end, do you know what you are having?

LadyPug · 18/05/2018 23:03

That’s true! No, it’s a surprise! Do you? When is your due date?

Beansprout30 · 18/05/2018 23:12

Ah that will be lovely, I couldn't hold out and wanted to know! We're having another girl, due 26th. How about you?

LadyPug · 18/05/2018 23:18

Ah we’re due 21st, Monday!!! Think it’s a boy!!!

Bojangles33 · 18/05/2018 23:32

37+4 and already feeling fed up! I can't get comfy at all and am just so tired and bored. Spent the last couple of weeks getting the house ready but bending over is impossible now so am just sitting around the house all day with nothing to do. First baby though so I'm also a bit terrified of things actually starting!

PhoenixDown · 19/05/2018 03:41

Woken up with some pretty strong back pain, hoping it's a sign of something, but now the memories are all coming back to me and I'm getting a bit terrified Confused

Cosmoa · 19/05/2018 04:10

You can do it ladies!!!

Just remember to keep calm to help stimulate your natural oxytocin and avoid the adrenaline... and no matter what happens you'll be okay ❤❤❤

Sending all my love to you all Smile

Cosmoa · 19/05/2018 04:13

@PhoenixDown got all my fingers crossed for you! Flowers

Let us know how you get on.. Xx

Beansprout30 · 19/05/2018 04:26

Hope you don't have long to wait lady

Sorry I hope I've not put a downer on the thread with my worrying. We will all get through it for sure! Good luck phoenix hope baby is coming

I'm awake nice and early as usual as can't get comfortable, feel like I need a crane to help me turn over in bed!

Cosmoa · 19/05/2018 05:24

@Beansprout30 you definitely didn't put a downer on the thread, don't worry about that!

I've been up with the baby cluster feeding.. She's been settled for a while now so I could have been sleeping too but I'm too nervous to sleep whilst my partner is sleeping too Confused silly I know but it's our first night home and we're first time parents! Managed 3 hours earlier around 12-3 am so I'll just have to have another nap after her next proper feed!

Beansprout30 · 19/05/2018 07:10

I remember not wanting to sleep when we first brought DD home, until sleep deprivation got the better of me Grin

PhoenixDown · 19/05/2018 07:27

Had a couple more strong pains - the last one really took my breath away, then.... Nothing! Eventually fell asleep.

With DD I had no signs then started contracting every 5 mins out of nowhere, she was born 5 hours from first pain, so this stopping and starting is all new to me. And now I'm utterly exhausted as I didn't get back to sleep for hours thinking things were starting!!

readysetcake · 19/05/2018 07:28

Ooo hope this is the start of something @pheonixdown ! I’m pretty anxious about impending labour too, even though birth was fine last time. But I developed anxiety after she was born. I got over it but feel it creeping back. Definitely don’t feel as mentally strong as first time. And then panic that I’ll talk myself into complications Sad seems it’s common to be anxious second time around though. Just had two friends give birth for second time and they were both fine! We can do it.

@cosmoa I remember not being able to at same time as partner for first few weeks. I was to nervous. Then sleep deprevation kicked in Grin but don’t worry about it. Just enjoy those peaceful moments watching your beautiful baby sleep. They don’t last long at all!
