Anyone else had a positive test recently and due in January 2019? Natural cycles says I'm due 3rd Jan 😊 would be lovely to hear others in the same boat!

Currently 4+2 so really early days still.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I’m actually quite looking forward to it. The last few weeks have absolutely dragged by just trying to cope with symptoms, so having something to actually look forward to has really perked me up. Bit stressed about getting there though. I had to call my GP to ask ‘when am I having the appointment’ because they said they’d call and didn’t. Told me it was already booked in, no info about where or with who. Get a voicemail today saying the location has changed (?!) and that it’s now somewhere that I’ve never heard of! Thankfully DH is coming so he can figure out where we need to go. Just hope communication is a bit clearer going forward.

Is anybody else not having any symptoms? I'm 9 weeks tomorrow and started off (around 5-7/8 weeks) really tired, nauseous, food aversions and sore nipples but now nothing. I don't feel 100% but certainly a lot better than I did so now I'm panicking that something is wrong!

Iswallowtoothpaste · 04/06/2018 18:03

@Noodles I’m 9 weeks on either Wednesday or Thursday (not sure which) and have felt so, so all the way through to varying degrees.

Over the past couple of days, the sickness has really teetered off. Still tired and boobs intermittently sore, as you say, definitely not 100%.

I think symptoms are still likely to come and go though, we’re not that far off the second trimester either when symptoms usually disappear.

Pecan05 · 05/06/2018 08:00

I'm 42 and about 8 weeks with number 5 and still haven't had any sickness or nausea, I was really bad with my other 4, so this is a tad disconcerting. This one's a different dad to the older 4 so just hoping it's something to do with that...

LJFM2B · 05/06/2018 08:13

@Noodles14 Im between 9 & 10 weeks (PCOS so unsure on my cycle duration so will find out on scan) ... and iv started to feel less symptoms - im hoping its just because baby starts to rely on the placenta? its just my theory to reassure myself anyway.

But generally from 5-8 weeks my symptoms were quite constant and now they are on and off - even my boobs going from being hard to soft to painful to not sore at all!

SCAN TOMORROW!!!

ladydanger · 05/06/2018 10:49

Hi everyone! I've finally got my first scan booked in but it's at 12 weeks - I thought they usually gave you one at 10 weeks? 12 weeks just seems so far away (and I guess I am doubly cautious as I had an early miscarrage in my last pregnancy so would like a scan sooner rather than later!) Any thoughts?

Iswallowtoothpaste · 05/06/2018 11:07

@ladydanger 12 weeks is usually the time they’ll try to scan you.

I had an early one at 7 weeks due to bleeding and left sided pain.

It’s an insanely long time to have to wait, especially whilst suffering anxiety after a previous M/C. It’s absolute torture.

sexnotgender · 05/06/2018 11:10

Rough couple of days, morning sickness was all day sickness and I've got a streaming cold now to make it all so much better.

ladydanger · 05/06/2018 11:12

Iswallowtoothpaste thanks for the confirmation - that seems so far away :O.

Hello

First time posting on any thread on here. Recently got a positive test after 5 years of ttc - this is my first. I'd pretty much given up hope then this. Hubby trying to stay realistic until 12 week scan and TBH I'm really anxious about losing baby early on. According to the NHS calculator I'm 6 weeks on Friday last week with a due date of 25 January. Got booking appt 2 weeks today and first scan exactly 12 weeks from first day of last period.

I'm so worried. At around 4 weeks I was getting really overheated and light headed/ dizzy. Feeling sick on the tube. Past week I've been so tired and sore boobs but today symptoms don't seem too bad.

So glad I found this site and thread.

Not even told my parents and sister yet.

sexnotgender · 05/06/2018 12:00

Hello indreamland congratulations!! My symptoms come and go too. I spent most of yesterday with my head in the toilet, feeling much better today except for a stinking cold.

sexnotgender · 05/06/2018 12:01

Oh and I’m due 22nd January.

InDreamland · 05/06/2018 12:07

Hi sexnotgender. Thank you. I'm still getting head around it. Not got a clue what I'm doing or what to expect. I am so frightened though of miscarriage. After 5 years of TTC this really does seem surreal and TBH was unexpected.

InDreamland · 05/06/2018 12:08

Congratulations to you! If the NHS calculator is accurate then we're pretty close date wise.

sexnotgender · 05/06/2018 12:09

I’m scared of miscarriage too, I had an early miscarriage in April and then conceived again straight away.
5 years is a long time, I can only imagine how you’re feeling. It’s a stressful time!

sexnotgender · 05/06/2018 12:10

Yip, my LMP was actually the day I miscarried so 17th April.

InDreamland · 05/06/2018 12:14

How is everyone with full time jobs in London coping with tube travel so early on and trying to pretend nothing is up at work?

Travelling on the tube is awful when feeling sick and lightheaded/dizzy but don't want to wear a baby on board badge because 1. I've not told anyone yet and know so many people who live and travel along the same line as me (including my sister) 2. Being only 6 weeks do not look pregnant and can't be dealing with funny looks from fellow commuters.

InDreamland · 05/06/2018 12:15

Oh no, so sorry to hear of your loss of last pregnancy. Fingers crossed you don't have to experience that again x

sexnotgender · 05/06/2018 12:29

Thank you Flowers just taking one day at a time x

InDreamland · 05/06/2018 12:34

That is all any of us can do. Do you find yourself actually saying to yourself "I just need to get through this next hour/journey/day/week"?

Waiting for booking appt and first scan even though booked in feels like forever.

InDreamland · 05/06/2018 12:35

Is this your first?

sexnotgender · 05/06/2018 13:01

It’s my second but my first will be 15 by the time this one comes alongConfused
I’ve got sooo much on in the next few weeks that I’m hoping time flies!
Not booked in yet, amongst a million other things I’m moving house soon so need to register at new doctor before I can book in.

InDreamland · 05/06/2018 13:05

Oh wow. So you're a pro when it comes to bringing up kids Wink

Hope the house move goes smoothly. We moved house a month before we got married .........stupid idea. Must be hard when you're pregnant too.

Any idea what risks are as an older first time mum 2 b? I'm just 38, will still be 38 when baby comes along if all goes well.

sexnotgender · 05/06/2018 13:14

House move should be very smooth as we’re doing very little ourselves! Decorators are in and making good progress, though reckons another 2/3 weeks to finish the house. Got a moving company booked to take our stuff from storage. We just need to unpack at the other end, but we’ve got about 4 weeks so will do it gradually.

I’m definitely not a pro, not held a baby in about 10 years! Feeling like a first time mum again.

InDreamland · 05/06/2018 13:36

Awww. I'm sure it'll all come flooding back and feel so natural when baby no 2 comes along.

Nice to not have too much to do so it's not so stressful with the house. Shamefully we still have a few boxes from our move I've not unpacked Blush. Hubby told me I'll have to get them cleared before baby comes along. I blame being stupidly busy since the wedding (half a decade ago).
