Anyone else had a positive test recently and due in January 2019? Natural cycles says I'm due 3rd Jan 😊 would be lovely to hear others in the same boat!

Currently 4+2 so really early days still.

My 3rd was 9lb10!

Iswallowtoothpaste · 29/04/2018 19:52

Yay! Eeekkk congratulations everybody!

I got my BFP on Thursday. Not entirely sure how far on I am as last period started on the 23rd of March which would mean I’m 5 ish weeks however I ovulated late and by extending my cycle by a week on the due date calculator I got 5th of jan.

Anyone else having those unnerving cramps? Had them with DD but I’m extra paranoid as my last pregnancy ended in an early MC but just gotta think new sperm + new egg and very unlikely to happen again.

Good luck to everybody x

EverythingNow · 29/04/2018 20:05

@iswallowtoothpaste yes I have, I’m reassuring myself that in each of my successful pregnancies I’ve had few symptoms over and above normal period symptoms. I had supreme nausea with my chemical 2 years ago.

I also must have extra CM because I feel like I’ve come on, go and check and there’s nothing there, again I’ve had that before.

Hi all

Congratulations!

I took a pregnancy test last Wednesday which confirmed I'm pregnant. According to my calculations I'm due 2nd Jan. This is my 2nd pregnancy as i miscarried in Nov 2017 @ 11 weeks so very nervous about this pregnancy.

I've so far told my parents and my husbands mum who are all over the moon for us.

Looking forward to sharing the journey with you all xx

Jarline · 29/04/2018 21:46

Hi ladies -

Long time lurker, hope you don't mind me joining in. I'm 4+5.
Potentially due 2nd Jan, this will be my 2nd baby after 18 months of fertility support treatment and 3 years total trying.

Some light bleeding over the weekend which I didn't have with my first - so playing a waiting game and trying to keep it together!

Congratulations to you all! xx

SecretStash · 30/04/2018 07:45

I’m 5 weeks today.
How is everyone feeling?

I get mild waves of nausea, but they don’t seem to want to hang around.

With my last pregnancy, by 6 weeks I was absolutely crippled with nausea and exhaustion. I could barely move from my bed. Annoyingly I was never actually sick. I hope I am this time, nausea is so much more torturous than sickness. At least with being sick you can get some relief afterwards.

loopdeelou · 30/04/2018 09:32

Congrats to all those that have joined 😀.

I'm only 4+1 lol but feel like an emotional wreck. I'm travelling for work today and nearly cried on a squashed train because there was nowhere to sit. Am not feeling sick yet but definitely feel like I have an extreme case of pms. My dh says it's going to be a long 9 months!....

KnucklestheEchidna · 30/04/2018 11:12

Got a positive yesterday (let's be honest, 4 positives...) and I'm terrified - first pregnancy, no idea what to expect! Expected due date 07/01/2019.
Been feeling very crampy so I thought it was my period due, but Natural Cycles recommended I test after my temperature stayed raised and those lines are very clear! Husband is very happy though.

Lauraliverpool · 30/04/2018 15:48

Got my bfp yesterday on a first response. Anxious and excited at the same time. Have a little boy who will be two in June. Worked out I'll be due roughly 12th January, not sure how many weeks I am last period was 7th April. X

Lauraliverpool · 30/04/2018 15:50

Have too had mild backache in lower back and dull aching in lower stomach. X

laurs2309 · 30/04/2018 17:21

Crampy and backache here too. Not as tired today though which is nice. Maybe because I spent all weekend in my jim jams. This growing a human lark is hard work 😂

Lauraliverpool · 30/04/2018 18:01

@laurs2309 I've started worrying already and only got my positive test yesterday. Trying to remember from last time! X

EverythingNow · 30/04/2018 21:56

I’m so tired! How is everyone else?

Boobs feel massive and I’ve been nauseous today. I booked my booking in appointment online today for when I’m 8 weeks (my surgery seems to only have non emergency appointments 3-4weeks in advance). I can always cancel if needs be.

I’m also wondering about paying for an early scan, just because when I had my youngest it wasn’t really a thing locally (you’d have to travel to a big city and it was expensive) but now it’s about £70 to have the 8week one in my local town. It’s tempting..

laurs2309 · 01/05/2018 05:32

Apart from being tired I'm not feeling too bad yet. I'm not feeling nauseous but am off food a bit and finding I'm just eating because I have to. Dh has turned into even more of a feeder than usual now to make sure I'm getting all the healthy stuff.

Has anyone else got a history of depression/anxiety? I've got a drs appt today to see whether it's OK to keep taking the anti depressants I've been on for the last few years. I got myself down to a low dose before we started ttc so hopefully it's OK.

SecretStash · 01/05/2018 06:23

Yes I take Sertraline and it’s safe in pregnancy.

LeeCee · 01/05/2018 06:58

Hey everyone mind if I join? Smile I'm on day 3 of testing everyday 🙈 3 BFPs in a row and today's tells me I'm 2-3 weeks pregnant.
First pregnancy. Very very excited but so so early days trying not to get my hopes up too much. Can anyone tell me if the strength of the lines is an indicator of anything? Mine came up fast (in 5 seconds) and clear.

loopdeelou · 01/05/2018 07:07

Hi @LeeCee 👋. I have no idea about the line but must admit I did frer tests 4 days in a row and they got progressively darker each day so I was happy with that. Don't think it really means anything though unless the line starts fading away again. If yours is dark and there then that's surely a great sign!

I'm also exhausted. Had the most stressful day at work yesterday and was working until late but am feeling even more tired than I usually would. Also started getting lower back ache and was sure af was on her way. I keep expecting it every time I go to the toilet. I do hope that feeling will pass and this pregnancy sticks!

LeeCee · 01/05/2018 07:32

@loopdeelou I feel exactly the same every time I have to pee it's a panic knicker check! Everything crossed for us all that they stick! Have you told friends/family yet? I want to wait until a month or two in but I'm spending this weekend with my parents so it could be hard!

DareToDream89 · 01/05/2018 11:01

@laurs2309 in my previous pregnancy I was on citalopram and I'm still on it now. My midwife said it was safe. I also got referred to a perinatal service that helps with depression and anxiety etc.

I've got my referral appointment at the doctors tomorrow and will then be able to book my booking appointment with the Midwife.

I also want an early scan as lost my previous pregnancy at 11 weeks (baby had died at 9 weeks). My dh is not keen on the idea but I feel like I need the reassurance. X

ohhellojo · 01/05/2018 11:15

Hello!
Got the BFP yesterday and although if I work out the dates the ‘conventional’ first-day-last-period way I’m due 2nd Jan, I used an ovulation test from the 12th day of my cycle last month and I apparently didn’t ovulate at all. So I’m guessing I ovulated really early in my cycle and could be due a little earlier than that.

I had a miscarriage in Dec 17 early on at 5 weeks so I’m hoping the next week or so goes smoothly! Though I’m the same @loopdeelou I daren’t go to the loo just in case it’s bad news (which is hard, cos I need a wee CONSTANTLY!)

PermanentlyExhaustedPigeon18 · 01/05/2018 12:14

Hi everyone is it ok if I join? I got my BFP about a week ago but haven't told anyone but DH. We had a MMC in October last year and I would have been due soon so this is nice news to take my mind off that fact. I am
So nervous for the 12w scan as that was when we found out last time. I don't want to tell anyone at work for as long as I can - maybe even when I've had 20w scan if poss although I think that will be difficult as I'm already piling on the weight I am sure!
It's so exciting but am trying to balance between not getting hopes up but thinking positive thoughts will help.
I was also using natural cycles 😊. About 6 weeks which puts me borderline dec/ jan
Symptoms so far are sore boobs and infrequent belly cramps. Although now I've got a terrible cold 😕
How's everyone else doing?

PermanentlyExhaustedPigeon18 · 01/05/2018 12:17

@DareToDream89 I've also been looking into early scans - make sure you look around tho. I am based in midlands. Locally it's £90 but I found one in Birmingham for £45!! Outrageous they can charge you so much but also that it varies so much. My DH isn't as keen on the idea as I am tho 😔

DareToDream89 · 01/05/2018 12:33

@PermanentlyExhaustedPigeon18 oh I may have a look I'm not far from A14 just outside Cambridge so wouldn't take me too long to get there. I'm so nervous, I just want to see my midwife and see if she can do anything to help settle my nerves c

Iswallowtoothpaste · 01/05/2018 13:22

My SIL went for an early scan with my niece and paid about £200 for it!! But it was worth it for her peace of mind as a couple of months previously she’d had M/C. It was bizarre actually as we both M/C within a day of each other.

Hopefully we all have a smooth couple of weeks.

After being beside myself with worry yesterday I’m definitely feeling more pregnant today. Boobs are aching slightly (although that comes and goes, funny, stretchy cramps, heartburn and every so often a wave of slight nausea or the desire to gag. This bloody scan can’t come soon enough!
