Following on from the Itchy & bitchy 2nd trimester thread!

I'm now 25 + 6 weeks, so very nearly 6 months gone! 3 months remaining...

Morning sickness is still very present and I've been reminded of this 4-8 times a day all week.

On the plus side- movements are now very regular and I love them! Much lower down than I remember DC1 being- lots of bladder kicks which are /not/ fun.

Hows everyone else doing with the 3rd trimester?

@LMX0
@CremeDeSudo

How are you two getting along?? Grin

Hi everyone! I'm a newbie to this thread but hoping I can join in :) Due the 26th May and secretly hoping that baby arrives before then. I have an 11 month old which effectively means for the first year of her life I've been pregnant. I DO NOT WANT TO BE PREGNANT ANYMORE - PLLLEEEASSE GET THIS BABY OUT OF ME. It has been a relatively quick and much easier pregnancy this time round than my first which I am grateful for but I'm exhausted, achey, I've aged about 50 years in the face... that's enough pregnancy for me, I'm joining a religious order come the end of May.

40+5 now, seen the midwife yesterday for what should have been a sweep but baby now low and fully engaged so she asked me to hold off until Thursday to see if anything happens!
Trying to keep myself distracted but I'm so over being pregnant, every day that passes I look a little more dead! I'm slowly falling apart and would really like this baby out now please!!!!!!

Thanks for the welcome, yes spotting was a rather WTF moment but it's stopped so trying to be positive and not worry that I'm suddenly going to get carted off in an ambulance. Plus I slept solid for 9 hrs last night and I feel like a new woman.

@CaMePlaitPas - 8-9 months pregnant with an 11th month old, much respect, nor surprised you're ready for it to end!

@Paie due July 28th! - worst niggle is currently vomiting out my nose- do not appreciate!
@LMX0 - due 26th July- peroid type niggles atm
@CremeDeSudo - due date is 8th July but section booked for the 2nd and high risk so unlikely to make it that far. As long as she stays put 'til June I'm happy. Biggest niggle is probably being unable to go back to sleep once I've woken up - knackered!
@Bluebirdsky
@Girlwiththearabstrap - Due 10th June
@FranticallyPeaceful
@Honey456
@Katyx3
@lucythecastle - have you had your lil one yet?!

Eurgh @lmx0 hate the pregnancy small talk it’s so wearing. Also hate the phrase “baby will come when it’s ready”. Makes me want to stab myself in the ears.
Just had an anti coagulation injection and being transferred (via husband) to main hospital an hour away Sigh.

@readysetcake Thinking positively, maybe they'll induce you early? Fingers crossed eh!

I've said this many times now, but my most hated phrase is 'How are you feeling?' I don't think I've ever been asked this except for when I'm pregnant or ill. I feel shit. Being pregnant is shit. Please fuck off.

This week I'm mostly getting annoyed by people asking how long I have left then looking shocked that it's 'so long' given my size. Even from women who have had children and should therefore know better! I think I'm going to start lying and tell people I'm due a month earlier!

Report
lmx0 · 02/05/2018 12:52

@CremeDeSudo people can be really rude!!! And yes you would think those mothers would know better!!! Or act all shocked im not pregnant!! The look on their faces im sure would cheer you up 😂😂

No blood clot! Yay! Do have vein damage that puts me at a bit of a higher risk of developing one so have to keep an eye out for the signs.

@cremeDeSudo I’ve had people saying that since I was 18 weeks. One work colleague said “oh wow you really are massive” when hearing I was only 6 months. We thanks! Then today I get told I’m very small and neat for 37 weeks Hmm

I'm due one week tomorrow! I've literally felt nothing though - no twinges, no backache, no period type pains, no show, baby is not engaged at all. I need to resign myself to going overdue right?
Still feeling pretty good, slightly achy after strapping my chicken pox riddled child into the pram and walking for 10k in the rain today! The most annoying thing I've had is needing to pee ALL the time. And sometimes it's just a trickle! So annoying.

Report
GottaBeStrong · 02/05/2018 19:57

I'm due 19th June but likely C section on 12th June due to a large fibroid blocking the baby's exit and she's currently transverse.

My last growth scan - due to being on Bisoprolol - came up with smaller percentile abdominal circumference compared to the previous ones so now having another one at 34 weeks instead of waiting until 36 weeks to see if this has changed or not.

I just realised I forgot to moan and whinge.

So today has been awful because last night was awful. I just couldn't get to sleep last night. I was eating like a horse all day, then when it came to time to sleep, I felt quite hungry and so I had some cereal and milk. DP wanted some too (haha) so I gave him a bowl. He ate his and just as I was falling asleep, he accidentally knocked the bowl and spoon over with a massive clatter, which woke me up with a right start and after that I just could not go back to sleep.

It wasn't his fault or anything because before that I had been tossing and turning, stretching my legs and trying to find a side to sleep on that didn't hurt etc. After the bowl incident, I continued to do this.

Whichever way I lay it was uncomfortable, no matter if I was using cushioning stuff. My left shoulder tends to want to sublux during sleep normally, so now I am pregnant and there's all that relaxin going round, it is really painful to the point of making me feel nauseous and it feels very loose if I lie on my left side with pressure on it. So that makes my right side the side to sleep on, but it's too much sleeping on one side so then everything else is hurting.

Every time I moved my legs an inch, one of my calves wanted to go into cramp. I felt so bad for my OH because he had a long day and a long day ahead today and I was interfering with his sleep.

In the end I came downstairs and ate some toast while sitting on the sofa, went back to bed and I finally fell asleep some time after 5.20 a.m. Today has been horrible. I should have been working, but I have only done half my work (I'm self employed) so was worrying about money then and getting stressed out so even when I was not working, I was not exactly relaxing.

@GottaBeStrong that sounds bloody awful, bless you ☹️ try not to stress about the money, at least you got some work done, better than having a sick day and not getting any done! Hopefully you will sleep a lot better tonight out of sheer exhaustion! I've been quite lucky with leg cramps, only slight one last night for the first time so I can't even imagine how frustrating that is for you!

Hi, can I join for a moan? I'm getting support for mental health during my first pregnancy, second trimester anxiety and insomnia hit me and the realisation that I'm allready in the third trimester is a bit of a shock... Even though its not a surprise, April flew by for me. 30 weeks tommorow eek and I'm tired and got indigestion but on the plus side I'm getting lots of social and medical and work related support and I'm signed off work for maternity early so don't need to think about it until 2019. Woop. Took a while to adjust to suddenly stopping work but I've had time to focus on myself and baby, just struggling to do any housework as I'm so tired and I didn't do much as I should before I was pregnant. Also I'm on medication for anxiety, depression and sleep which I was reluctant to take but I was getting lots of headakes, migraines and generally very restless but unproductive. Today I've been really tiered. Yesterday we exchanged contracts for buying our first home but I also lost my new glasses... After losing my debit card at the weekend causing so much stress... Don't feel like I can really moan in real life when I'm fit, healthy and financially secure but had a death in the family... Surprised me how much it affected me as I didn't know her well and she'd been on palliative care for a while... Only thing I've been struggling with physically is mild hip pain, low iron and indigestion...

And work got difficult in the second trimester when everyone started commenting on my 'glow' and I felt like crap and had a headake, so didn't know how to respond... I normally get headakes with colds and you never get the same understanding as a cough...
