Following on from the Itchy & bitchy 2nd trimester thread!

I'm now 25 + 6 weeks, so very nearly 6 months gone! 3 months remaining...

Morning sickness is still very present and I've been reminded of this 4-8 times a day all week.

On the plus side- movements are now very regular and I love them! Much lower down than I remember DC1 being- lots of bladder kicks which are /not/ fun.

Hows everyone else doing with the 3rd trimester?

@LMX0
@CremeDeSudo

How are you two getting along?? Grin

I got frustrated with work trousers too - I wear a long top at work and got away with my usual pair with a hair bobble around the button to give me a bit more room.

Thanks all, they had a bed so sitting here being monitored before they pop the pessary in and thankfully I qualify for outpatient so can go home for up to 24 hours after some more monitoring!
Long day ahead but at least it's the start Grin

@LincsK glad im not the only one!! I did try that for a while but because it was a clasp close instead of a button it didnt work so well
@WreckItRach i totally agree its a pile of 💩 it just means us pregy ladies spend alot of our time re-ordering and returning!! Fingers crossed you get something in h&m they are normally pretty good at having a range in-store
@readysetcake good for today hopefully they have a bed & dosent take too long to get things moving!!

Ooo exciting @smurfybubbles! Hope things don’t take too long to get going. Get yourself home for a snooze in the garden ASAP. You’ll need all your energy. Good luck!!

Good luck with the induction!
I'm now 4 days away from my due date and still not feeling anything so I suspect I might end up going overdue. I've booked gym classes for this week and also a nail appointment so I'm hoping that sods law will dictate that baby puts in an appearance! DD was born at 34 and a half weeks so I really wasn't expecting to still be pregnant! Feeling pretty well though. Quite energetic and no aches and pains.

Ooh exciting @smurfybubbles! Good luck!

I've put weight on my arms and thighs and really don't want either out the but it's too warm to be covered! I can't bloody wait to diet.

Yesterday we did a full spring clean of the house. I hate doing it at the best of times but at 31wks it was hard bloody work! I definitely over did it and still paying for it today Sad

Good luck @Smurfybubbles !! How exciting that things are finally moving! Hope to hear of a little appearance soon!

@CremeDeSudo make sure you rest today, especially with this heat!

I managed to get a nice thin sun dress that can work for BF after baby is out too so I'm pleased. Currently sat in the garden with my puffy feet in a bowl of cold water!

Thanks @WreckItRach. Have done minimal moving today!

If anyone has any suggestions/recommendations of dresses/jumpsuits that might be suitable for now and after baby is born please send them my way! Ideally something that makes me look less whale-like if possible! I've just read that we're due a heat wave this summer and I already have nothing to wear face palm

@CremeDeSudo your just right to do nothing today i scrubbed the kitchen and cleared a cup-board for baby feeding things (ill not fill it yet) and im wreaked!! Currently sat in garden enjoying ☀️
@WreckItRach even better!!
@CremeDeSudo have you looked on ebay? They have some nice loose floaty long tops im sure they would have other bits too

Report
lmx0 · 06/05/2018 18:46

@CremeDeSudo if this is true im going to have to buy myself some summer bits then!!

Report
CremeDeSudo · 06/05/2018 19:18

No I haven't looked on eBay.. I don't have a lot of luck ordering clothes online so it needs to be somewhere I can order and return easily!

I think I might need to invest in a maxi dress or two and just accept my fat arms. Sigh. I find that floaty things make me look bigger, yet fitted things cling to the wrong places! Can't win!

@CremeDeSudo i know what you mean online always is risky and its very hard to get anything to fit right what about a very light cardi to cover your arms? Primark have some i got a few last week good few colours to chose from and the holy design so wont make u too warm

CremeDeSudo · 06/05/2018 21:04

I've got a few cardies, could do with a short sleeve one perhaps that's a good call!

I've just ordered this from Amazon. No idea if it'll be any good for now but hopefully for after!

Creme, I love my maternity and nursing dress from jojo mama babe. It's not a summer dress though - long sleeves and out of stock now but their clothes are so soft and well designed... Only discomfort is the elasticated middle for style but that is the only seem, worked when it was colder. better with a vest top underneath. Looks like they have a good range of summer maternity clothes now.

lmx0 · 06/05/2018 21:52

@CremeDeSudo oh thats lovely!! Did you measure yourself using the size chart on amazon?

Report
CremeDeSudo · 06/05/2018 21:58

Nah I've just gone for a big size and keeping my fingers crossed! It's quite nice isn't it. I hope it's ok!

I like some of the Jojo stuff but can't bring myself to pay the prices, especially as I've only got a max 8wks to go in mat wear and hopefully won't be fat for too long!

Report
lmx0 · 06/05/2018 23:05

@CremeDeSudo im sure it will be fine but yes its really nice do they have any other colours? I thought the same about jojo no point in paying dear for stuff you wont get much wear out if

Embracethechaos · 07/05/2018 08:41

I went through simular thoughts... I got some second hand hardly worn jojo clothes off Facebook then decided on 2 extra items from new. I am finding I'm wearing the same clothes all the time. Also, they will be useful after birth too, they are so comfy and practical. I did order a couple of things from matalan too. Now I've bought some loose big, non maternity clothes.

Report
CremeDeSudo · 07/05/2018 09:47

@embrace can you share what you've got from Jojo?

Lots of colours in that dress. If it's ok I'll buy more!

34 weeks, I have so much to complain about I'm just going to list it...

  • I feel like I've been punched in the vag by a 40 stone wrestler
  • no amount of food fills me
  • heartburn? Errhhhhh ALL THE TIME
  • no summer clothes that fit me, practically wear my pants around the house all day
  • can't walk 20 mins down the road without needing to be air lifted home.

-McDonald's ice cream machine is broke
  • my stomach is so tight I feel like this baby is going to rip the skin open and crawl out.

There's so much more ... sooo sooo much more lol. Ladies.... we are past the glowing stage... eat all you cannnnnn
Report
WreckItRach · 07/05/2018 18:18

Omg @twistedpink you really are going through the ringer! It did make me laugh that the Mac Donald's ice cream machine featured on the list! We went for a walk round the park earlier and then ended up the wrong end from the ice cream van and it was devastating!!
I hope you have rested and kept as cool as possible today to try and help. At least the baby must be pretty much engaged if there's a heavy weight down below!

Report
twistedpink · 07/05/2018 18:38

I hope so!! It does feel like I'm carrying a small football in there haha. This last few weeks are killers, the rest was a breeze! I've been lucky as I'm low risk and had no complications but Christ!!! I really feel for those women who are high risk!

I went for a walk too today and exactly the same thing happened with regards to the ice cream van too 😂 I'm sat watching tv praying he comes round the street so I can run out with all the local children and get two ice creams and pretend I'm getting one for my partner too... and eat it!

Report
WreckItRach · 07/05/2018 19:57

@twistedpink I feel the same (but not as bad)! I'm 35 weeks tomorrow and it's been going really well but I'm starting to get back ache, I've got swollen flat feet that hurt and he keeps wiggling under my ribs so it's uncomfortable! We haven't got long to go though. I am looking forward to it cooling down a little.

Ooh can I complain too?! I’m 33w4d with DS1 and have been having some slight back ache and pains down my thighs - not sure if these are Braxton Hicks or that start of things to come - eek! I didn’t have any signs with my DD as I was overdue and was induced so don’t know if these are impending labour signs so early?!
