Following on from the Itchy & bitchy 2nd trimester thread!

I'm now 25 + 6 weeks, so very nearly 6 months gone! 3 months remaining...

Morning sickness is still very present and I've been reminded of this 4-8 times a day all week.

On the plus side- movements are now very regular and I love them! Much lower down than I remember DC1 being- lots of bladder kicks which are /not/ fun.

Hows everyone else doing with the 3rd trimester?

@LMX0
@CremeDeSudo

How are you two getting along?? Grin

Kt good luck with the monitoring

Im currently sat here in tears.
Have such bad pain. Mainly one sided
Bump just feels sore.
Hopefully it passes soon

mustbemad17 · 25/06/2018 14:07

Hope the pain has eased Lost? It is horrific when you are in pain & can do sod all about it.

Unfortunately when i had DD my hospital were stingy with ibuprufen & paracetamol...obviously got other stuff if stronger needed, but for 'basic' after birth pain we had to provide our own. Cue me sending mum off in search of some!

LostMyBaubles · 25/06/2018 15:41

Thankfully yes its all gone.

Hows lil one doing? How are you recovering?

I might pack some paracetamol but never had a prob with them providing anything.
Iirc with eldest I think I had lots of diflofenic and nothing after birth with the other 2 apart from a dose of paracetamol

Im so looking forward to having him so I can do more!

mustbemad17 · 25/06/2018 17:18

I'm doing really well thank you 🙂 getting out & about for short spells, altho can't go far as it leaves me achey. After pains have all but gone except when i'm expressing, altho my boobs are so sore at the minute.
Little man is just lush, every time i look at him i want to eat him haha. He is slowly getting into his own little routine, having me up every hour for feeding at night. He is a greedy little guzzler!

SK166 · 25/06/2018 17:41

@Lost - are you doing ok this afternoon?

@mustbe - so glad you and little chap are getting on so well!

Is everyone just melting in this heat though? 39+2 now...crawling towards the finish line! But god I feel crap today. Like unusually crap. Maybe it’s a sign that she’s on her way?!

Me and the pup have basically just been lying down most of the day, only getting up to rotate to whichever is the coolest room in the house. Think he’s as fed up as I am!

LostMyBaubles · 25/06/2018 18:17

Must take your time, there's no rush.
Think within 2 weeks We went to blackpool to see the lights after the huge bloodloss didnt think I could

Its soo cute! The newborn stage.
With my first he was ill from being born so very stressful time
2nd I was very ill
3rd surprise pregnancy and had a 1yr old to look after too so was very very hard.

Really looking forward to this one. Got some time to enjoy him too 😍😍

Sk it's ridiculously hot isnt it!
I dunno how we are all gonna sleep in this heat!

mustbemad17 · 25/06/2018 19:41

I hand on heart feel for you ladies right now. My body is slowly getting back to just being hot in this weather as opposed to melting from the inside out. Meant to get hotter too so take care of yourselves!!

LostMyBaubles · 25/06/2018 20:59

Ive kept curtains closed most of the day and sat in air con car for as long as possible

Even hubby found it hot and hes from a country where its 45°c+ atm and due to get hotter

TheGrumpySquirrel · 25/06/2018 21:43

Oh hi.. I just started a thread about the heat... I didn't see this one! I'm sooo fed up and I'm only 32 weeks Sad

Flatwhite32 · 26/06/2018 20:42

I'm lying here at 36+1 feeling so hot! Was up last night eating ice cubes at 4am. Had my 36 week appointment today, and bump appears not to have grown since my 34 week appointment, so I have a growth scan on Thursday. Bit worried, but just have to hope all is ok.

lmx0 · 26/06/2018 22:46

O M G the heat!!!! Its so hard isnt it ladies @LostMyBaubles how are you now? I hope the pain hasn't came back?!
@mustbemad17 glad to hear everything is going well!!
@Flatwhite32 hope everything is okay and thurs goes well
@TheGrumpySquirrel welcome!!
Ive my classes finished now and even wrote out my birth plan today!! Getting all so real now!!

LostMyBaubles · 27/06/2018 07:34

No more pains thankfully
Ive been surviving the heat with lots of showers but ive woke up with a burning throat and feel like im burning too. Feels waaaaay too hot.
Might have to have a quick shower again and some paracetamol

Flat white hope the scan goes well.
I have the opposite 'problem' my bump is too big. At last appt 8 weeks too big

Squirrel welcome to the club

LostMyBaubles · 27/06/2018 07:35

Imx0 how are you getting on?

Wonder how kt is? Sure she had more monitoring at the hosp

KTD27 · 27/06/2018 09:26

Morning all! Still here and still pregnant. Saw my midwife Monday and BP was glorious. Back in tomorrow for a repeat of all monitoring and bloods to check all still ok.
My feet are ridiculous and essentially whenever I put them down on the floor they balloon. I think that’s essentially what I’ll have to live with until baby arrives.
Just back from a lovely Accupuncture session and asked her to hurry labour along so I’ll let you know if it works Grin

lmx0 · 27/06/2018 10:08

@LostMyBaubles thats good im alright just warm and feet are swollen but putting that down to the heat cool showers are awesome atm!!! When are you back to mw/hospital?
@KTD27 thats good to hear hopefully they keep staying that way the heat prob isnt helping your feet either

SK166 · 27/06/2018 10:48

Morning all!

What’s on everyone’s agendas today? Keeping cool, I hope?!

@Lost - I also recommend a lot of ice cream to wash down your paracetamol Wink

@KTD - glad all is well, if a bit puffy. Sounds like a grand excuse to put your feet up and watch Netflix!

Still working through the to-do list here, just 5 minutes at a time! Freezer is stocked, bags are packed, house is mostly clean. Need to change bedsheets, clean spare room and get some of the baby stuff out of the garage, but we’re mostly there.

Got my 40 week appointment on Friday and reeeealllly hoping they’ll give me a sweep. Technically I’ll be 39+6 though, so the midwife last time said they may not be allowed to. What utter nonsense Hmm

lmx0 · 27/06/2018 11:45

@SK166 hopefully they will give u the sweep what in a day really?! Just take it all one step at a time j cant wait to get stuck in get everything Ready next week i was talking to my friend yday and its scary to think next weekend if she decides to come a couple weeks early (i know i go could anytime but in my head im not allowed till next thurs as ill be 37 weeks!) im working today 😢 but only one more day to go!!!!
@LostMyBaubles i second the lots of ice cream!!!!

letsallhaveanap · 27/06/2018 11:55

still pregnant!! And just got my health visitor appointment letter.. shes cutting it a bit fine isnt she? It will be a day after my due date!

My feet have swelled up like balloons (blood pressure is fine) I think its the heat and the weight of course..... erugh
Going to pick up some final bits for baby today when I really should stay off my feet..... knowing my luck there will have not needed to be this rush because I will be two weeks overdue like last time...

Going to get a curry tonight... even though its an old wives tale it might just do something?

lmx0 · 27/06/2018 12:34

@letsallhaveanap no harm in trying the curry!! Shes cutting it very fine!! Ive mine next week and ill be 36+4 igot my letter about 2/3 weeks ago as well!!

LostMyBaubles · 27/06/2018 12:46

Lets enjoy the curry. Never worked for me personally (which is good as we eat a lot of curry lol) keep the gaviscon to hand

Kt glad your bp is better today

Sk I really hope she doesnt make you wait another week because of 1 day

Ive had my ice cream milkshake 😋😋😋
Absolutely amazing

LostMyBaubles · 27/06/2018 12:48

Imx0
Im seeing local mw next week then have scan week after and see consultant to make a birth plan and talk about placenta as at 20 weeks it was low.
Really want to avoid section

lmx0 · 27/06/2018 12:52

@LostMyBaubles mine was laying low at my 20 weeks scan but by 28weeks it had moved up so hopefully yours has too ohh sounds yummy!!

LostMyBaubles · 27/06/2018 13:03

I hope so.
I bleed a lot at delivery and with baby being bigger too (risk increases with big baby) I just really dont know which way to go

KTD27 · 27/06/2018 14:46

Lost i think we will end up with a section so you won’t be alone if you do have to have one

LostMyBaubles · 27/06/2018 16:01

Its the recovery im worried about.

3 boys to look after and a newborn.
Obv hubby will do what he can but still feels very daunting
