Sweaty and fretty- 3rd trimester safe place to whinge

Following on from the Itchy & bitchy 2nd trimester thread!

I'm now 25 + 6 weeks, so very nearly 6 months gone! 3 months remaining...

Morning sickness is still very present and I've been reminded of this 4-8 times a day all week.

On the plus side- movements are now very regular and I love them! Much lower down than I remember DC1 being- lots of bladder kicks which are /not/ fun.

Hows everyone else doing with the 3rd trimester?

Absolutely though apparently it tastes a bit rank.
I read somewhere that pineapple wise you’d have to eat a ridiculous amount to make any sort of difference.
Think the only thing ‘proven’ is sperm and a sort of poetic justice in a you got me into this mess now you can get me out type way. Though honestly if DH is told he has to have lots of sex with me he might Cry. I’m not exactly at my best at the moment sure he would take one for the team though

haha well already posted a while back on this thread about trying to DTD and ending up throwing up on the bed lol!! sex is no easy feat at this stage

@KTD - I got some teabags from Holland & Barrett and it's combined with strawberry and hibiscus too, so tastes just like any other fruity tea! I brew a big batch of it with several teabags and some fresh mint from the garden, then add a little sugar and drink it iced. It's very refreshing!

If I end up needing section (mainly due to low lying placenta) how will I cope with 4 Dc?

Eldest requires a lot of care.

I really want to avoid it.
Dm thinks baby will be too big for me to deliver 🤔

Im sure if your dh/dp was offered it he wouldn't turn it down?! However that is last thing on my mind so my baby may be in for a lonnnng time!!! Eps if it would take lots of times!!!

Couldn't sleep last night, lots of pain in bum like pressure and a sore bump.

@LostMyBaubles i had that yesterday!!! Felt like i needed a massive 💨 but didnt and wondered what it was but it passed after a few hours im okay today tired and will be glad to get out of work!!! Oh you've every right to be moody when youve had no sleep!!

Also grumpy thanks to a horrible night of SPD pain, back pain, bump pain, shoulder pain, CT pain, vicious leg cramps...the list goes on! Eventually gave up at 5am and got up because I couldn’t breathe through my stuffy nose, to discover I must have had a nosebleed quite high up and was stuffed up with clotted blood. Urgh.

Had a little cry and then DH had stern words with baby girl about heading towards the exit in a timely fashion.

Hoping that does the trick?!

Crap nights sleep here too. I feel your pain SK166 CT is the pits and the heartburn is killing me.
I was only lamenting yesterday that these last few weeks of pregnancy must have been invented by a man they’re so crap.

I think baby has moved down and has been for a while as ive not had heartburn for a while now (thankfully)
Used to feel like if I opened my mouth I would breathe fire lol

Had a cry and then a nap
Now I feel a little better.

I had headache, sore bump, back ache and my legs were hurting.

Sk nose bleeds scare me! Hopefully you wont get another

Didnt sleep well either and still couldnt sleep during my toddlers nap... bit up and down today... keep feeling really excited but then get randomly filled with dread...

Sounds like you ladies are having a rough day!! I hope tomorrow is better for yous!!! Have any of you had a look at the mothercare sale yet? Its quite good i got a set of nursing bras and 5/6 nursing tops for £52 which would have been £105 i was rather chuffed 😊 when are your dh/dp going to stop drinking alcohol?

Stop!?? My DH is not a drinker - he really isn’t. Perhaps share some wine with me over a weekend and a Baileys at Christmas sort of guy. Both pregnancies he has turned into a some sort of wine expert and I sit there envious at the delicious wine...
And at the end of the pregnancy he stops again! weird!! So by my reckoning he will be deciding to ‘give up wine for a while’ in a few weeks when I’m allowed it again.

Well I’m on maternity triage. Feet have gone super sonic swollen so they’re checking me over and doing some monitoring of baby. Sigh.

How is everyone else getting on? We are slowly getting used to the chaos that comes with a newborn...my milk has started coming in today so i am top heavy 😂😂

Im usually in a day or 2. Will pack a back up in case im in longer bag

Don't forget painkillers! Hospital may offer but ours didn't, had to have my own last time.

Erm, not really sure tbh re the milk, especially as he hasn't been feeding. Had to go to formula as he needs his tongue snipping & it was killing me...last night my boobs went from post birth balloons to huge, solid rocks. Starting to get lots of leakage so hoping to be able to pump at least

Maybe invest in a battery operated hand fan for hospital bag... I swear to god with my son who was also born in summer, that fan was better than any of the pain relief! (except for the epidural obv)

Ive got a clip on fan that I will be taking with me lol 😁

From what I remember the hosp has very good air con and I remember feeling cold as we were directly under it!

Lost don’t forget a phone charger!!

My hospital I can safely say does NOT have good air con. It has been boiling there today.
Good news is that it ‘doesn’t look like a pre-eclampsia picture’ so they’ve let us come home albeit with instructions to come in tomorrow and Thursday for further monitoring.

@LostMyBaubles ill shall be staying away from matalan then!! I really dont need any more baby clothes although i keep saying i might more nb/up to 1m as most of my stuff is 0-3 but for all the time she would be in it if at all there is no point really poor you!! I find hot honey & lemon helps my cold when i have one it sucks and preggers as you cant take anything

@KTD27 aww no way about the heat hopefully they will have fans in the labour/delivery rooms!! Thats good its not looking like pre-e hopefully it goes well when you go back in again
