Following on from the Itchy & bitchy 2nd trimester thread!

I'm now 25 + 6 weeks, so very nearly 6 months gone! 3 months remaining...

Morning sickness is still very present and I've been reminded of this 4-8 times a day all week.

On the plus side- movements are now very regular and I love them! Much lower down than I remember DC1 being- lots of bladder kicks which are /not/ fun.

Hows everyone else doing with the 3rd trimester?

@LMX0
@CremeDeSudo

How are you two getting along?? Grin

I'm lucky in a way that DP is in charge of the supervisor phone at work...many a time i've had to ring him cos i've forgotten my PIN number for the bank card 🙈 baby brain is a bummer

lmx0 · 18/06/2018 14:17

@mustbemad17 thats good!! Ive been there too once in butchers and once in argos argos wasn't as bad but the butchers was awful im stood looking at him him at me n i was like ehhhh funny now looking back!!

mustbemad17 · 18/06/2018 15:58

It's so frustrating isn't it! Your whole head goes totally blank. I try to take cash with me atm so i don't have to worry haha

lmx0 · 18/06/2018 22:36

@mustbemad17 it really is thats the sensible thing to do!!

KTD27 · 19/06/2018 06:55

Goddam it! I’ve woken up with carpal tunnel.
It’s been coming on for a few days and there’s no denying it now. Man this pregnancy is really testing me in the last few weeks.

mustbemad17 · 19/06/2018 08:14

CT is the absolute pits 😣 i didn't get it til after my DD was born but ended up needing surgery for it. Can you get yourself a decent splint support?

Mother nature really hasn't thought this process through at all has she? Good job us women are tough cookies cos many pregnancy symptoms are bad enough alone to make some go 'aha never again' 😂

LostMyBaubles · 19/06/2018 14:36

Had one of those blank head moments today 🤦

How is everyone

Kt hope the ct has settled a little

Embrace how are you getting on.

How's everyone doing?

This baby feels very very low down. Felt like when they break your waters and you get that odd pain well like that minus the waters!

Kitcat159 · 19/06/2018 14:49

Holy moly the back pain!

lmx0 · 19/06/2018 14:50

@KTD27 poor you hope it eases soon and a splint may help?
@mustbemad17 she deffo has a few kinks to work out hasn't she?! And yes i can see why some ladies say nope not doing that again!!
@LostMyBaubles happens to us all!! Im ok today little tired n felt a little sick earlier but seems to have passed thankfully ive finished packing my hospital bag all that needs to go in is an outfit for coming home but ill do that nearer the time how are you?

LostMyBaubles · 19/06/2018 14:55

Just feel like my head is scrambled
Dunno what it is and have that weird feelimg very low down

Lucozade orange works wonders for nausea

LostMyBaubles · 19/06/2018 16:05

Really heavy bubbling feelimg near bikini line and had some 'spotting' like mucus??

mustbemad17 · 19/06/2018 16:32

I'm being a hormonal wreck at the minute, got myself all prepped for induction tomorrow to receive a phone call saying they can't do it. Have to ring on Thursday & hope they have a bed for me. Got myself all mentally prepared & relieved about it, now sat in floods of tears 😔 bloody hormones

lmx0 · 19/06/2018 17:19

@LostMyBaubles i may give it a go thanks!! Oh ive never heard of that before sorry im no help
@mustbemad17 you have every right to be upset thats horrible being all geared up for tomorrow for it to be put off!!

mustbemad17 · 19/06/2018 17:29

Thanks Imx0 i will admit i've had a good sob into my duvet. There isn't a guarantee i can get in on Thursday either so i'm back to being on eggshells...with the added stress of knowing i'm 42 weeks on Friday & after that things start deteriorating 😔 been offered another sweep tomorrow but i've had 2 already, not sure there's any point putting myself through more discomfort when i haven't had any sign of movement

lmx0 · 19/06/2018 20:41

@mustbemad17 no one would blame you id be seeking comfort from a massive bar of chocolate or tub of ice cream!! Surely they cant leave you any longer than friday!!

LostMyBaubles · 19/06/2018 20:50

Mustbe
Ben and Jerrys is on offer at Tesco atm Wink

mustbemad17 · 19/06/2018 23:54

I'm hoping my MW will call me in the morning so i can speak to her about it. Hahaha funnily enough DP came home with two tubs of b&j AND some chocolate bless him

lmx0 · 20/06/2018 02:13

@mustbemad17 hes a keeper!!!! Bless him hopefully she will!!

SK166 · 20/06/2018 18:37

Afternoon all!

@mustbe - any news from your midwife? Are you on for tomorrow? Did you have the sweep? One of my antenatal group had her 4th sweep yesterday at 41+3 and baby came this morning, so don't give up hope! In the meantime, eat as much ben & jerry's as you can get your hands on. So you've got plenty of energy for labour, of course Wink

@Lost - any update? Any more rumblings?

@KTD - carpal tunnel is the living worst. It feels like such a pointless, annoying, final kick-in-the-teeth as well! Like 'oh your whole body is already suffering and now we're so close to the end let me just also impede the function of your hands just to really fuck you up so you can't do ANYTHING without pain'. I feel you.

I took myself off to the spa for a couple of blissful hours yesterday, courtesy of my colleagues (leaving present) and it was all-too-briefly GLORIOUS. I can't even explain the sheer joy of floating about in the hydrotherapy pool after dragging my sweaty weight halfway across town to get there. Honestly, if I could, I would spend the remainder of this pregnancy just bobbing in any body of water large enough to house me!

Made me all the more determined to have a water birth, but I'm feeling pessimistic today and just know in my heart of hearts that it isn't going to work out all smoothly for me. I'm predicting a 42 week induction, 3-day labour and then forceps delivery. That's my current mental state!

mustbemad17 · 20/06/2018 18:51

Oh i'm so jealous. Floating in any type of pool right now would be wonderful! It is far too warm.
Spoke to MW this am, she agreed with me about the sweep so we left it. Ringing in at 10.30ish tomorrow & if no bed i may become homicidal

LostMyBaubles · 20/06/2018 19:01

Sk dont worry too much.

Feel a bit shitty here tooo but think its the change in weather etc

Rumblings on and off all day. Have lots of back ache though atm

Must fx they have a bed for you!

Who's waters had gone further up thread?
Hope they are doing ok!
Think it was embrace?

lmx0 · 20/06/2018 19:53

@SK166 that sounds wonderful!!! Im thinking i may like to treat myself to mani-pedi when i finish work I really would like a water birth too!! hopefully you get the birth you want or as close too as possible
@mustbemad17 id be camping at the hospital until they get the baby out!!! Hopefully they will have a bed ready and waiting for you!!
@LostMyBaubles have you mentioned the rumblings to your mw?
@Embracethechaos hope everything is ok?!

I had my mystery appointment today i was to do with my high bmi (im only just over the limit) to discuss any problems that may occur if i was to need a section or epidural it may not be as effective as for someone slimmer but she said as ive no health issues, look healthy and ive good veins and a boney back that there is no reason that i would have any more difficulty than anyone else was in and out 10mins on another note my cousin asked me if i had gained weight then remembered im preggers then asked me if i had started to waddle yet?! Men eh!! Good job i seen the funny side otherwise id be needing a shovel!!!

letsallhaveanap · 20/06/2018 20:00

I am 2 fifths engaged apparently... no clue what that really means but hopefully its good... it sounds like its good!
Ive got my living room ready for my big blow up pool!!
Went for a long walk on the moorland yesterday to try and bring on labour.... did have a couple of contractions but then realised I was in the middle of the moors alone and there was no signal on my mobile.... so actually was pretty lucky the contractions stopped otherwise thered have been some seriously shocked sheep about!!

SK166 I have the same fear... induction and 3 day labour... that was what happened for me last time!! I really want my baby in my pool this time... ill pray for you if you pray for me lol!

mustbemad17 · 20/06/2018 21:34

letsallhaveanap unfortunately being 2/5 engaged doesn't mean much...i was 3/5 engaged for three weeks & have been 4/5 engaged for the last two & baby STILL isn't shifting his backside. Does mean less chance of baby turning apparently tho which is always a bonus!!

I hope you get your water birth ladies! I'm hoping that i only need stage one induction so i can still have my water birth...even a water birth in hospital is better than a bed birth! I am chuckling at the shocked sheep tho hehe

Embracethechaos · 20/06/2018 22:35

Hi, beautiful strong baby was delivered safely early Tuesday morning, we're still in for monitoring....was not an easy labour but the midwifes were all amazing. Glad I bypassed the waiting for baby stage.
