Reduced Movement 37 Weeks...waiting...

Hello,

Currently doing the "lay on my side for 2 hours" thing as advised by a midwife when I phoned up worried about reduced movement. I'm 37+3 and got the feeling they were super busy when I phoned :(

Half an hour in and haven't felt a thing and getting super super worried! I'm not sure if I've felt little flutters but they are just cushioned now due to the baby being so big?

Has anyone any experience of this?

Thanks!

I'm with @CoperCabana OP ... Are they still monitoring little one? Have they done a scan? Thinking of you Flowers

Fingers crossed for you x I was induced early and honestly it took 5 days of nothing before a c section. I must have slept about 3 hours in that 5 days. I remember how horrible it is.

But it gets better! Weirdly I slept really well the 2 nights after birth.

Thinking of you

I went in due to rfm at 38+4 weeks. Heart rate kept going down with every contraction and baby wasn't moving at all. Consultant came and decided on emcs straight away. Baby had a poo inside me, which they can get an infection from and also the cord was very tight around the neck. The midwife said I was very lucky to have come in when I did.

Hope you’re ok OP. I can’t stop thinking about you and your baby as this feels exactly like my birth experience. It’s bringing it all back and I’ve been dreaming about it overnight too! X

I'm sorry for keeping you all waiting but WOW what a few days.
Prostin got me to 2cm in 26 hours. Moved to labour ward and had waters broken 1am on Monday along with hormone drip. Still 2cm at 7am on Monday despite crazy contractions. Got a epidural (absolutely lifesaver, would recommend!) however baby then took a few dips on the ECG. By this point I had been awake for over 72 hours and put my foot down and agreed with great drs that I wasn't going to wait until I was 4cm and they could do fetal blood tests to see if there was a problem....
So emergency c section it was and at 8.46am my life changed in the form of a little BOY (I knew it!!) weighing 7lbs5ozs. Name yet to be decided. Spent today bonding snd just away to try and get a nap before feeding again :)

Again thank you all ladies for your most wonderful words!!
