Hello

I thought I'd start a new thread for people who have are due late Nov/ early Dec

A bit about me...

I'm 28 have been married nearly 2 years and we were very lucky and managed to fall pregnant first month TTC...

I've self referred on the NHS website and am awaiting my booking in appointment 🙂

What's your story? ❤️

@AnotherOriginalUsername could you switch midwives if you would feel more comfortable?

I got a letter in the post with my consultant appointment and it said to come with a Urine sample so I suddenly wondered where I'd get a sample pot from ... Hmm

She asked if I was happy or would I prefer another, but I don't have any issue with it. I know her reasonably well (she's not one of our frequently fliers but I would recognise her and know her by name if I saw her in public) so at least I know she's nice!

ND348 · 01/05/2018 22:26

Congratulations @MrsCrumbtious I've felt really light headed when I get up too quick, asked the midwife and she said that was normal, just don't get up too quickly!

Ibfeel like my shape is changing a bit @EL332 certainly got a buyer bump in the evening though so guessing it's bloat! Can still fit in my clothes but lost 1.5 stone over the last 6 months so that's they mainly have a bit of room in them!

Had my private scan today, dates moved forward 5 days from my scan at the EPU exactly two weeks ago when I was dated at 6+6 but today 9+4. Sonographer said it was normal to switch about a bit at the beginning.

GreenGooner · 02/05/2018 07:40

Morning all. Hope everyone is doing well. I've been so sick but have woken up brighter today at exactly 10 weeks so hoping I'm over the worst of it.

Quick question: for those that have had their booking in appointment, did they book your 12 week scan there & then or did you have to wait for a letter? X

AnotherOriginalUsername · 02/05/2018 08:17

@GreenGooner I had mine yesterday. She went through a consent form (12 week scan, trisomy testing, 20week anomoly scan) which would then be faxed to the hospital and I'll get an appointment letter via post

GreenGooner · 02/05/2018 08:22

Thanks for the reply @AnotherOriginalUsername

I'm panicking as we'd already booked a holiday for when I'll be 13/14 weeks so worried if the date comes in a letter I'll miss it. I'll just have to explain to her and see what she says x

AnotherOriginalUsername · 02/05/2018 08:39

I've had a similar thing with other appointments and the requesting GP has just asked them to give me a call alongside sending a letter

GreenGooner · 02/05/2018 08:41

Brilliant thank you. Fingers crossed they can get me in before I go away x

AnotherOriginalUsername · 02/05/2018 08:56

I think you just need to be 11+2 for the 12 week scan so barter with appointments Grin

Is anyone else having trouble eating? I have had zero morning sickness (thankfully!) and usually have a big appetite. Just made myself a cooked breakfast as I'm on a late shift today, and have barely managed 1/4 of it. Last night I made the most amazing lasagne and struggled to eat much at all.

ellsharks · 02/05/2018 10:24

@GreenGooner I booked mine at my booking appointment. I think all hospitals are different - I am in Hertfordshire and was able to book it through convenience.

GreenGooner · 02/05/2018 11:42

Thanks @ellsharks hope I can do the same. I'm quite limited on dates due to my job and have lots of meetings in that I can't cancel. I'll take my diary and hope for the best x

MouseLove · 02/05/2018 12:30

Hey ladies.
May I join?

A little about me... I have not been on Mumsnet for a while. I was and still am a part of a group of wonderful ladies all TTC their first baby who moved over to the infertility boards and off MN at the end of the year. I've been TTC since August 2016. We had a mmc at 10 weeks in February 2017 and some thyroid issues which I stopped medicating for in Feb this year. I was very very lucky to get my BFP just a few weeks before our fertility clinic appointment and probably start of treatment. I have a luteal phase defect and hubby has low morph.

I'm 9+4 today and have been taking things day by day. We had a wonderful scan at 8 weeks and saw our baby and everything was fine. I have my 12 weeks scan on the 22nd Which I am nervously looking forward to. But of course I am being very cautious at the moment. I feel ok, had little waves of symptoms, mostly just very tired all the time and very very bloated. 😳

Hope you're all doing ok. Xxx

GreenGooner · 02/05/2018 13:50

Welcome @MouseLove sorry to hear of your loss. You're more than welcome here, everyone's lovely. Wishing you all the best with your pregnancy x

hammeringinmyhead · 02/05/2018 14:06

Hi there! You're welcome of course!

My 12 weeks scan was requested by my midwife at the booking but she told me to phone the next day given I was already 12 weeks. They'd already given me a date and sent the letter when I phoned at 9am.

Have told boss and HR this week. It was surreal saying it out loud.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 03/05/2018 17:27

How's everyone doing?

I'm wondering if 9 weeks is too soon for maternity trousers? 🤔 I'm so bloated today it's unreal!

AaronPurrSir · 03/05/2018 20:57

MouseLove welcome! My 12 week scan is on the 22nd too Smile

Another I’m 9 weeks too and all of my clothes are sooo uncomfortable. All of my trousers are too tight and my tights constantly roll down over my belly. I definitely feel like I have a tiny bit of a bump already.

GreenGooner · 03/05/2018 21:43

I can't stop being sick! Was feeling so much better yesterday but today: BANG. I can't keep anything down 😢

AnotherOriginalUsername · 03/05/2018 21:57

@AaronPurrSir I'm too fat for a bump (probably for at least the next 6 months!) but my weight hasn't really changed and my work trousers are so tight that I may have to give in to the stretchy waistbands

Rachbones1992 · 04/05/2018 11:10

So nice to read that we are all going through the same things! Puts my mind at ease a bit! I have my first scan (private early reassurance) on Thursday and I still don’t really feel like it’s happening even though I’ve had sickness and sore boobs and general tiredness! Anyone else feel the same way? I keep waiting for someone to tell me I have read all of the (ten) tests I did wrong 🙈 quick question, I am slightly chubby (not big I’m a size 12) but I have a bit of extra fat around my tummy. Do you think they will still be able to see baby on TA? I know it’s a private clinic and they do TA and if they can’t see anything you have to come back at a later date for TV. Worried if they can’t see anything I’ll go into panic mode 🙈 thanks ladies :-) hope we all have problem free pregnancies! And angelic Christmas babies that sleep through 🤣😜

ellsharks · 04/05/2018 11:19

@Rachbones1992 I am a size 12 too. I had a scan at 8 weeks and was fine.

I have my 12 week scan next week and im so excited, I feel i must be some what crazy tho as I had 8 week scan, heart beating. Had scan at 9w2d due to really faint spotting, baby fine, heart beating. Its not stressing me out but I still have worries about the 12 week scan haha. I think its natural. All my sickness has gone, nipples still like inverted needles stabbing me. Deffo got a bit of a bump, i know its a bump as ive spent the last year holding my tummy in to make it flat, but i cant do that now. Its just there. Although just looks like i am bloated, so its not giving me away just yet! hasnt "popped" as my sister says

AnotherOriginalUsername · 04/05/2018 11:54

@Rachbones1992 I'm a size 20 and they saw everything fine on the abdominal scan. I then had a vaginal scan just because that's their policy at

Rachbones1992 · 04/05/2018 12:33

Ah thanks ladies :-) yes @ellsharks I have major bloat and I’m only 8 weeks 🙄 I’ve had a lot of people at work asking if I’m pregnant as I wasn’t drinking at a work do a few weeks ago (I thought I’d get away with mocktails but clearly not). I wish people would think before they ask that maybe I am not ready to tell them! I know I will think twice now before I ask anyone else :-)

AnotherOriginalUsername · 04/05/2018 16:52

My barrage of appointments have begun to arrive - 12 week scan on 25th May (at 8:30am - yawn!) followed by an obstetrician appointment at 10am on the same day. After that I have an obstetrics and cardiology appointment on 1st June.

I've been told to expect a lot of appointments!!

Kimmyx · 04/05/2018 21:40

Hello everyone! I’m 23 and been TTC since coming off the pill in November. Took a test early March and it was negative so thought nothing off it and would try again next month.

Got mortal on a girls night out last month and got my BFP the Monday after (10 April). I was so shocked as my period was late but this isn’t unusual for me since stopping the pill. I felt so guilty as I worked out I’d be 7 weeks- I was drinking a lot of vodka and red bulls. My poor baby

Been with the OH for 5 years and he was over the moon.

Had my midwife appointment last week and she worked out I was due 27 Nov!! She deemed me as low risk and everything seems ok.

Can’t wait for my first scan.

Christmas will be so cosy this year with our new addition. I have 2 nephews so my sister is buzzing that they’re gonna have a cousin!! Aah

RachaelN90 · 04/05/2018 22:30

Just hit twelve weeks with my first and my belly has popped out! It feels so early to get a bump first time round- anyone else experience the same?!
