Let's hope it's the former! I have a massive phobia of vomiting and haven't done so for about 20+ years!

Emma198 · 29/04/2018 09:16

Well then I definitely hope it's the former!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 29/04/2018 13:44

All is good and measuring 8+2 which is exactly what I thought I was

@AnotherOriginalUsername 🙌❤️

@Another brilliant! So pleased for you. Amazing how quickly they grow, mine was at 6 weeks 6 days so only just a week and a half more and yours looks so much more like a baby!

Had my scan yesterday. LMP had me at 12+5 but I just knew that with my long cycles I was earlier. Turns out I was 11 weeks, which is 2 days too early for nuchal testing! I have to go back next week. Everything looked fine in there though. The baby was grooving about and waving.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 29/04/2018 15:30

Emma198 we saw little wavy flipper arm things and a good heart beat (my main concern with my own issues!) That photo I shared is one from the transabdominal scan, we have a photo of one of the transvaginal images which is even more human like!

Emma198 · 29/04/2018 15:33

Amazing! I only had transabdominal x

AnotherOriginalUsername · 29/04/2018 15:39

That's one of the TV images - can see little stubby arms and legs. We were also supposed to get a recording of the scan but the recorder wasn't working

How frustrating @hammeringinmyhead!

ND348 · 30/04/2018 06:16

Great pics @AnotherOriginalUsername! So did they do both transabdominal and TV for you? I've got mine tomorrow, seems like you get a better image with a TV. Though to be honest as long as there is a little heart beat measuring the right size I'm not too bothered!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 30/04/2018 06:26

@ND348 yeah they did a quick TA which confirmed single pregnancy, in the right place, with heartbeat, then did TV for the most part - they looked at and measured/dared baby, got lots of views, pointed out head, heart, arms and legs etc. and then she checked the yolk sac, my cervix, ovaries etc. and wrote a report.

The place I went said they prefer to do TV up to 11 weeks

AnotherOriginalUsername · 30/04/2018 06:26

Dated even!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 30/04/2018 22:56

Got my first midwife appointment tomorrow, I assume I'm best going armed with a urine sample?

hammeringinmyhead · 30/04/2018 23:13

I did mine on the day, in the toilet across the hall from the consultation room!

MrsCrumbtious · 01/05/2018 07:01

Not sure if I’ve introduced myself here but feel confident enough now I’ve had my scan. I’m 6+6 today according to my dates with our first baby after TTC for 3 years. Due around 19th December ❤️.
Woke up this morning, got up too quickly and felt very dizzy and sick. Guessing this is normal?

I was asked to @another when I had my first contact appointment with midwife.

@MrsCrumbtious that's amazing. Congratulations! You must be over the moon.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 01/05/2018 07:52

I'll take one, not sure that I can perform on demand!

EL332 · 01/05/2018 10:44

@Emma198 @AnotherOriginalUsername I've got to go armed with one to my consultant appointment... so I need to go to GP to get the sample pots??

Does anyone else feel like their shape is changing?

I feel like all my weight has loved to my tummy and so it looks much more bump-like than normal and my hips look smaller...

I've brought a couple of maternity bits in preparation and in them I have what looks like a definite bump because of the shape of them, but I'm only 9 weeks and hardly anyone knows so I'm trying to find things that are looser and am avoiding wearing my super comfy maternity jeans - despite the bloat/bump meaning I can no longer wear my normal ones 🙄

OP posts:
Emma198 · 01/05/2018 11:45

I have a noticeable bump. All bloat I imagine but I'm loving it Grin

When I had my first contact appointment midwife gave me a pot to take with me already filled today. Xx

AnotherOriginalUsername · 01/05/2018 12:09

@EL332 if they need a sample they'll give you one but you could collect one if you know you'll definitely need one. I work in a vets so have free access to such containers!

Shape wise I feel huge. I haven't been following any kind of sensible diet (I'd previously lost 11st but put 5 back on over the last 2 years) but weighed myself this morning (not been to fat club for weeks) and am actually the same as I was 4 weeks ago despite eating at least 2 breakfasts a day!

hammeringinmyhead · 01/05/2018 12:30

I have a bump at 11+3. It's bigger by the evenings. My stretchiest skinnies do up, but I change into leggings at home! I can't wear maternity jeans to work until I announce it in a couple of weeks (haven't told any of the grandparents to be as they are hours away, but we're seeing them this and next weekend).

I have ordered bump bands from Asda do I can undo my trousers.

ellsharks · 01/05/2018 13:51

My bodies changed, I've noticed it this weekend. I put my normal jeans on and they were tight! I'm only 10+3 haha. It's not noticeable to anyone but me though, my DP reckons nothings changed, but I definitely do, more so in evening.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 01/05/2018 17:37

My midwife is one of my clients from work 🙈
