Huge congrats!! Lucky you on no sickness! I’m getting used to mine as it’s like clockwork. I haven’t told Work either and know what it’s like keeping secret.

Fox23 · 21/04/2018 22:58

@Poppylizzyrose I’m so sorry to hear about your nausea! I know it’s something most women have, and you are right- at least it means all is ok, and it’s natural 😊 for the last week or so, my tiredness is getting better, some days (like today) I make it into “late evening” 😆

Poppylizzyrose · 21/04/2018 23:35

I can’t believe I’m still awake! Touch wood no sickness tonight. It did hit me at 1am this morning though...so could be I’m in for another 1am trip to the loo/sink. Good luck with your pregnancy and congratulations again. X

Watching the London marathon, very emotional, I must be hormonal as fuck 😂

Poppylizzyrose · 22/04/2018 10:37

Haha I get emotional about songs, the word love makes me cry, haha in any context even if it’s rude!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 22/04/2018 10:40

To be fair I ran it last year as part of Heads Together and it was the most incredible thing I've ever done.

Doesn't mean I ever want to do it again though!!

Poppylizzyrose · 22/04/2018 10:50

Oh! Wish I was fitter. I’m slim flabby size 12 with small frame. After this pregnancy I am getting mega fit, six pack the works! This single Mum wants to get fit and find mr right!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 22/04/2018 11:08

I was a flabby size 16 when I ran it and an even flabbier size 18 when I did a 100km/63mile ultra marathon the following July. Size ain't everything Wink

helbel42 · 22/04/2018 11:37

Hello, hope it's ok to join, I'm only 4 +3 weeks so due date (everything crossed) will be late dec/early Jan. First pregnancy and read some scary stats around what can happen before 12 weeks so in need of some support from people who get it! x

AnotherOriginalUsername · 22/04/2018 12:11

Congratulations helbel42 and welcome aboard. how are things going so far?

Poppylizzyrose · 22/04/2018 12:11

Hey Helbel, I’m only 6/7 weeks so early too. My best advice is justnot worry about it. What will be will. My pregnancy wasn’t planned so guess I’m just confident for some reason. I’ve told loads of people too as it was such a shock. Everyone’s different. Hope you’re well. Getting sickness? Mine is awful but sickness is good sign. X

helbel42 · 22/04/2018 13:03

Hello! Thanks for replying! I'm ok so far, got my bfp at 9dpo (12 dpo now) and seem to have had all the symptoms except sickness. Guessing it's just a matter of time tho so not getting too comfy! I've had light cramps, full of beans one minute and wiped out the next, a few mild headaches, dizziness on standing, sore boobs and back ache. I have a bad back as it is (Ankylosing Spondylitis) so this is actually really gentle compared to my normal pains! have you guys told anyone? I've told DH but wondering about parents?

ND348 · 22/04/2018 13:16

How's everyone getting on this weekend? I literally slept for all of yesterday, so so tired! Also last few days really noticed light headedness/dizziness when I move too quickly or stand. I jumped off the sofa when the dog barked and completely lost my vision for a few seconds which was a bit scary! Anyone else getting this?

helbel42 · 22/04/2018 13:34

Hi @ND348, I've had blurred vision with it but not complete loss. I think it's to do with blood pressure dropping when you move suddenly and I think you get lower blood pressure in pregnancy anyway x

AnotherOriginalUsername · 22/04/2018 14:14

@ND348 I used to get that a lot - my heart condition means I'm on medication to reduce my heart rate and lower my blood pressure (although off that one for pregnancy) meaning my pulse is normally around 50 and BP previously about 90/55. Standing up was always a nightmare - just take it slowly and sit down again if necessary!

Fox23 · 22/04/2018 16:47

I didn’t watch marathon, instead i spent all day in the garden- being ultra careful not to lift something that would have never been an issue before. When it comes to running, I’m so useless, I don’t think there is a word for it. I’m good at interval sports, but runnin I’m dying after 1 min of running - I have tried many times.
@ND348 I had few dizzy moments, but not as you described, but I suppose this heat could have played role in why it was more serious.
@Poppylizzyrose I’m so with you on this one. I was size 10-12 before instarted ivf... now approaching 14... scary. Not the size, but the speed of weight gain. I’m already dreaming of proper exercises, six pack and hot beach body 🏖
@helbel42 your symptoms sound just like mine. At 12 weeks they are starting to disappear but oh my, the tiredness is out of this world. My back also I very bad. Some days is so bad I struggle to get in the car. I don’t know how this will work with pregnancy. I must say, I was scared every day (stillam) that something will go wrong, but nurse said to me- enjoy being pregnant, if something will go wrong, then it will, but don’t ov shadow this magical experience with irrational fear.

G00ders1 · 22/04/2018 17:01

Hi everyone,

Hope it’s ok if I join?
I’m 33, pregnant with first, after our first month of trying. I saw clearblue were doing a trial on their new ovulation sticks so I registered to be part of the trial...apparently the sticks work VERY well!

According to the NHS I’m due on 26th December (pretty late!), but according to some other websites I’m due on 22nd December - unsure why there’s a difference?

Like lots of other people I’m having cramping/period type pains, and because I’m 5 weeks (found out last week) I’m feeling pretty nervous about the whole thing. Made slightly worse by my mother who is completely freaking out because I’m overweight 🙄🙈

Looking forward to seeing more stories and sharing ideas/thoughts/tips.

xx

Fox23 · 22/04/2018 17:28

@G00ders1 congratulations!!! I’m so pleased for you! Don’t get too hung up over due date, as everything can change during dating scan week 12.
I used clear blue ovulation tests for 2years until I got ivf referral, but is so amazing to hear that for some couples it’s works so well!
What other symptoms do you have besides cramping?

Poppylizzyrose · 22/04/2018 17:32

Fox, I wasn’t in great shape before but I’m blessed with thin frame and great legs. Also (and have been told a shameless amount of times) haha that I have amazing breasts, but now they’re huge, hurt so much I can’t touch them myself! So don’t really know how i’ll Turn out afterwards. Way I see I though I’m 29, I’ve had my fun holidays mad nights out, sexy Greek men...if my body goes down hill it is worth it. I’d just love to get in shape after, tone up and be slim to look good in clothes. Plus as I am single would like to do the dance with no pants again (with protection lol) the Dad though is so keen to be together, but I dumped him for a reason, we just don’t fit. Wish we did. :(

Poppylizzyrose · 22/04/2018 17:34

G0oders congratulations! I had cramps and bleeding before I knew I was pregnant. Now I just have the lovely sickness morning and night. Plus I’m so tired it’s insane, hope I perk up so I can do things.

G00ders1 · 22/04/2018 17:38

@Fox23 Thank you. We’ve only told a few people, so it’s still weird to hear congratulations! Congratulations to you for being 12 weeks today! 🙌
I’ve felt a bit sicky and have slept for most of today - a silly thing to do as I’m drowning under a mountain of work! Apart from that and the cramps I’ve had nothing else...oh, apart from vile heartburn in the night last week that kept me awake for a few hours! My mum says she suffered with morning sickness so I’m pretty sure I have that to look forward to!
I’m excited to hear what your 12 week scan will be like! I’m not seeing the midwife until I’m almost 9 weeks, and I’m not sure what she’ll do, but it seems such a long time to wait!

xx

G00ders1 · 22/04/2018 17:41

@Poppylizzierose Thank you 😊 I’ve been looking through your posts with interest! You are so sure about what you’re doing, I love it! It’s lovely to see you so sure about what you want and what you’re going to do. Thank you for starting this post too, it’s the first time I’ve ever posted (felt a fraud before as I’d never been pregnant) xx

helbel42 · 22/04/2018 17:45

Hi @G00ders1, congratulations!! Sound similar to me, also 33 and first pregnancy, but I'm about 4 days behind you! Sorry you're feeling so tired, I'm up and down but I'm in a very busy period at work so hoping for more ups! Ringing docs tomorrow, I'm on hols next week, back at bang on 8 weeks to hoping to get an appt as soon as I'm back. It is such a long bloody time without some kind of medical person confirming there is actually a baby! x

G00ders1 · 22/04/2018 17:56

@helbel42 That’s exactly it! If I could just have someone say, ‘yep, there’s definitely a baby in there and it’s fine’ I would be completely happy with life! As it is the suspense is killing me!

To be fair, I think the tiredness has been brought on by me trying to avoid my work and lazing around for most of the day...and then deciding to join mumsnet and distract myself!

I found out on Sunday last week, and because the NHS Website said to phone doctors so antenatal care can start I phoned on Monday and saw a doctor on Tuesday, who said I was seeing them really early! 😂😂 my period wasn’t due till the Thursday! Then I found out that the midwife won’t see me until I’m at least 8 weeks, so here we are left with a massive wait! 🙈 I think you’ll feel it’ll go quickly because you’re off, then you can book in pretty much straight away with the midwife 😊

xx

Fox23 · 22/04/2018 18:00

@Poppylizzyrose - oh my! It’s like reading my mind!! Although I’m not exactly small frame, I have always been... curvy in right places. And boobs- I have always had big boobs, now, I’ve gone up to 36G! And so painful- with or without bra. Mad!
I so echo your though- how will they look/be on the other side of pregnancy. I mean, I’m so happy to be pregnant but I do want to look good too after it all. 😆
