@Aggiemacc my tiredness has really kicked in. Went shopping at the weekend and came home and had to nap 2 hours. Works hard when you are meant to focus lol
I'm 7 weeks and the morning sickness (all day sickness) feelings really kicked in, so keeping me awake. Totally gone off my food. 😫
Private scan booked for Friday. Hoping once I've heard heartbeat etc I'll feel a little more settled.
Midwife letter came last week got an appointment booked for the 25th April - I have so many questions lol

Anyone else getting sore hips? Any advice on how to combat it?

Heathre23 · 11/04/2018 19:54

Hello Just joining, first time mummy age 38. Been with my fiancée 15 months (was wedding planning and still am but but have to add an extra year of saving for it!). Seems I am a lucky one so far, only bloating and needing to wee every thirty minutes, they are my only symptoms and the 2xpositive tests we did. Sharing many of the same feelings, thoughts, apprehensions as many others, especially being an older mummy. Awaiting news of first scan, but reading this thread, I may check the private care route as I pay for private through work luckily. Might as well get what I am paying for if something is available. I just want to hold a healthy looking scan in my hand so we can tell people. Holding off until then, it’s just us who knows.

Heathre23 · 11/04/2018 19:57

Oh and due date roughly 6th December

AnotherOriginalUsername · 12/04/2018 10:00

I've had some bleeding this morning. What do I do? Phone my GP I guess?

GreenGooner · 12/04/2018 10:43

I would give them a ring for reassurance @AnotherOriginalUsername

Just received my booking in apt by post. Not until the 4th May though when I'll be 10 weeks 😳

AnotherOriginalUsername · 12/04/2018 10:45

They've booked me in for 11:30 with the emergency duty doctor but said the midwife is in today and will probably see me instead

GreenGooner · 12/04/2018 10:46

That's great, fingers crossed all is well!

natashaarr · 12/04/2018 10:52

@anotheroriginalusername I hope all is ok for you. My fingers will be crossed for you x

AnotherOriginalUsername · 12/04/2018 13:04

Saw the nurse who basically said it's pretty much over.

Went to work as didn't fancy going home (MiL there who knows nothing about the pregnancy). Colleague asked if I was ok and that was the end of that.....

Early pregnancy unit have phoned - she's said it all sounds very normal, told me what to expect over the next week and to call them in 7d with an update and if necessary they will do a scan.

GreenGooner · 12/04/2018 13:26

I'm so sorry @another is there anyone IRL you can talk to? Thinking of you xxx

Blondcat · 12/04/2018 13:34

Sorry @anotheroriginalusername I am confident it is over for me too so hand holding from me know what you are going through look after yourself Flowers

AnotherOriginalUsername · 12/04/2018 13:47

There's people I can talk to, it's just the not knowing that's going to drive me insane. EPAU woman said it all sounds like normal early pregnancy stuff Confused

AnotherOriginalUsername · 12/04/2018 13:47

@Blondcat fingers crossed for you Flowers

GreenGooner · 12/04/2018 13:53

Hi @AnotherOriginalUsername correct me if I'm wrong, the EPAU feel that there's nothing to worry about? Did the nurse at the GP examine you or anything? Seems like conflicting advice. Can you self refer for an early scan or anything?

AaronPurrSir · 12/04/2018 13:58

another that’s really unhelpful that the nurse told you it was over, but the EPU said it’s normal and weren’t phased! Is there any way you can go there today? Take yourself to a&e and get referred for a scan?

AnotherOriginalUsername · 12/04/2018 15:13

I'm only 6+1 today, so still the very earliest for an early scan. Whatever I do isn't going to change anything so I think I'll just see what happens. Husband is now very concerned, he's waited about 5 years for this, so I can probably convince him now that we pay for a private scan at 8 weeks

Rachie1986 · 12/04/2018 16:34

Hoping all is ok another

GreenGooner · 12/04/2018 17:09

@AnotherOriginalUsername yes get booked in for reassurance. Keeping everything crossed that all is ok xx

AnotherOriginalUsername · 12/04/2018 17:23

I'll give it another couple of weeks and if there's no major developments I'll ring the EPAC and see if they will scan or if I need to do it privately

Darkstar4855 · 12/04/2018 17:43

Seems to be a lot of variation between EPUs. Mine were really good: I had spotting from 5+3, they did blood tests for hCG levels two days apart and then scan at 5+6 as hCG levels were nice and high. They warned me that the scan being ok now doesn’t mean I won’t go onto miscarry later but it really helped knowing that things were ok for now at least.

It’s really unfair that some of you are getting told to wait a week or more and not even getting blood tests to see if your levels are going up or not, not knowing is the worst SadFlowers

EL332 · 12/04/2018 19:38

Thinking of you both @Another & @Blondcat, how are you both feeling this evening? ❤️

Blondcat · 12/04/2018 19:46

@el332 I'm OK. Been to gp today and she was lovely she felt my tummy and said it felt soft so was not too worried about an ectopic just said sounds like a miscarriage and only time would tell for sure and sometimes there are other outcomes though unlikely but told me to come back if I was concerned about anything. I am going back in a couple of weeks as my blood pressure was high and they want to be sure that if this was a factor that it is controlled before trying again.

Emma198 · 12/04/2018 19:52

How much bleeding was it @another? I bled on the day I was 6 weeks. I phoned got a scan and they said all looks normal I'm just not as far along as I thought so I'm back tomorrow. In cant understand why anyone would say it was pretty much over I'm sorry that happened to you. X

AnotherOriginalUsername · 12/04/2018 20:14

I feel ok since talking to the EPAU woman. It is what it is and nothing I can do will change anything so it's just a waiting game. Husband agrees to an 8 week scan either.

Typically I've had an appointment through today for a specialist cardiologist and obstetrics clinic which is on 1st June

AnotherOriginalUsername · 12/04/2018 20:15

Emma198 not a huge amount, seemed like a lot this morning but has since slowed down to almost nothing since about lunchtime so fingers firmly crossed currently
